I have just finished a reading a novel called sabres edge by Allan Mallinson
It is about the war in bharatpur during the 1820's. At the time there was an
upsurper to the throne called Durjan Sal. I hadn't heard about him before.
In this book the name Jat is spelled as Jhaut. The fortress in Bharatpur at
the time was considered the most impenetrable in the country.
