in first day of the first test match Pakistan seems in command till the lunch as they scored 110 for the lost of one wicket(which was run out) and Indian blower look unimpressive …

Ram Ram bhaiyoo !!
So far in this test one thing is proof today about Pakis Bouncy-Juicy-Green-Bowlers-Friendly pitch balloon is burst today ...Pitch is typical Sub continent style neither support for fast bowlers nor for Spinners ..
Interesting to see how we Indians will bat against paki pace battery .. i hope shoaib n company..will get the same taste of indians willow as what we received from their end..
This test is heading towards another boring Draw which is too common in this part of world ... in the end we will have 3-4 centuries from batsman and it will be heck to jury members whose centuries will be awarded MAN OF THE MATCH ...
Hope u r all agree ?
ForEver!!

If Pak gets over 600 today...they will put pressure on India.....High chances are India will loose this game.
Lets wait and see, How Indian batsman respond to their reply.
It is too early to predict the result.

These is a problem with Saurav selection too and the opening slot...I hope he makes some decent score..otherwise it puts pressure on other batsman.
I hope they drop Agarkar and bring back Zaheer...and where is Balaji ??

It is so frustrating to see a test match pitch as at Gadaffi Stadium. If that is the idea of making a pitch, then we must also make it a rule that each team will have 11 batsman and no bowlers. They can then allot definite number of overs bowled by a machine for batsmen to score.
I personally feel, that the pitches to be prepared which are equally suitable for both bowlers and batsmen, to give each a fair chance to exhibhit their skills.
Now on the match itself. I don't know if Dravid is having the team he wants? It is nice of him to open the innings. This batting track is a good opportunity for Sehwag to get into form, and so is it for Ganguly. If both Sehwag and Ganguly score heavily, which could be possible, then it will further complicate the selection problem, but then it is a good sign to have more people in form. I only feel, that if we select three specialist openers, and play only one, then what is the logic of selection process? Ganguly the all rounder bowled only handful of overs. He is a talented person and determined too. I hope he proves his selection and does not let the team and his supporters down.

I agree with you Virendra sir. Infact there should be a team, appointed by ICC to monitor these pitches else the very purpose of a test gets defeated. Even some of the Indian pitches are as dull.

Pakistan wants to make sure they dont loose the tests under any circumstances, Thats why the the first pitch they prepared is a batting pitch and they won the toss too, their batsman have done a wonderful job and now its India's turn.
But I bet you if pak wins this game, the next pitch is going to be a fast pitch so that they can wind up the series early.
Unfortunatly India does not have pace bowlers like shoaib and sami and with the morals high, pakistan will see off India in the second test too.
Come what may, Pakistan will not give India, turning pitches and that rules out our spin advantage.
But all is not over yet...I can see our Jat boy getting a double on this pitch...which is long overdue now.

I think Lara has hit about 56 [if i can recollect correctly] fours in his innings of 400. not sure though.

Well we are into four days in this test match. Over 1000 runs have been scored for effective 5 wickets, two were run outs. Is it not the murder of the bowlers on both side?
What is the use of preparing such wickets. Ultimately the game of the cricket is the looser. I wish we have full days play tomorrow, so that Sehwag may reach his third tripple ton or may be equal Lara's Record. He surely will if we bats out the whole day. Dravid also may be able to better his 277 record.
The problem is the match may give wrong impressions about the performance of the players. It is only pathetic, and unfortunate. May be this test could well be forgotten for it had nothing for the bowlers.

True, and then they managed the one (his own wicket) just when it would have mattered to Sehwag most. 3 runs short what would have put his name in history at the top.
The lesson may be: Never talk big. He still would have got out at the same score, but I feel, being humble does not hurt.
Any way, in a match where genuinly only 5 wickets fell due to the skills of the bowlers or say batsman's weekness, (two being run outs and one fell due to batsman trying to hit out) it was a befitting reply to the curator of the pitch who actually harmed the game of cricket by producing such a track.
Sehwag's effort is commendable and truely deservs the man of the match recognition, for it had been made agains a huge total. Such innings are not played every day. Good luck to team India and Sehwag. Keep going.

I think Lara has hit about 56 [if i can recollect correctly] fours in his innings of 400. not sure though.
J H Edrich holds the record with 57 boundaries (52 foures & 5 sixes) followed by Matthew Hadyen with 49 (38 fours and 11 sixes) Veeru's effort is third on the list. Brian Lara scored 43 fours and 4 sixes in the 400 innings.
Veeru's double hundred is now the highest score in test cricket scored at more than a run a ball.
