China and Pakistan have been using paid historians as a foreign policy tool quite extensively. China used Neville Maxwell to write the book "India's China War" (http://www.centurychina.com/plaboard/uploads/1962war.htm). As can be seen, this book is loaded on a website called Centurychina. I have gone through many other articles by Neville Maxwell in NYT book review section. He writes everything, which is anti Indian to the core, be it India's role in Bangladesh war or British rule in India. Pakistan has hired British historian Alistair Lamb to write a book titled, "Kashmir: A Disputed Legacy ". In the book this author propounded a theory that British government "conspired" with the Indian union at the time of partition to prevent Kashmir's accession to Pakistan because it (Britain) needed a vintage point in Central Asia. Our historians later on quote from these very books as these books flood all the world libraries. This game has been continuing even since Karl Max proposed Aryan invasion theory. Mr Lamb is the official guest of Pakistan government these days and has been touring extensively;

High time Indian government and public take note of these dirty deeds of China, Pakistan and these so called hired mercenary historians.

Rajendra bhai ji, these propagandists don't go too far away else British brain could have ruled this world for ever. Truth surfaces ultimately. Propaganda has to be countered by a propaganda for short term satisfaction and if that is the requirement for the Indian government then it is fine for fun but no body can fool people generally. Thanks for the update though.

What about the homegrown historians on foreign payrolls. They do more damage here.
