Yes there is a Jat Association in Washington D.C. There has been for atleast 20 years now. When I was younger my parents would take me to all the festivities. In recent years we stopped. But I will find out where the next meeting is. Meanwhile, the D.C area Jats that are on this site should meet. Vinod, do you go to GWU by any chance because I thought I saw you there?

I think there are 3 of us at UMD; and if you take up a slightly larger area (Include Virginia Tech, GMU or GWU) it might be even larger. We have been to a few jat picnics in NJ.

Wow, thats good news. Please let's know about the next meeting if there is one, if not then we can have one. I don't know why we don't see many jats from DC area (DC,VA,MD) on Jatland. I would request all Jats from the region to post in this thread and reveal their presence. Then we could arrange some kind of get-together according to junta's wishes....
GWU? I was there only couple of times, in diwali functions etc, but I am not sure it you saw me or someone else:-)...
