Bhai CP,
This is a very negative trend that seems to be on the inicrease. Though I can't comment on the 'Gang war' but surely killing someone for getting a share in pension seems tuely pathetic. And I believe the person killed was an Ex Fauji. The saddest part of the whole episode is that kiilings of this kind took place within the family. One had seen people kill others for land. honor etc, but killing your own father for pension is something new.
The main cause of worry is increasing population and diminishing land. There is no solution in sight, short/long term. Very sad to see proud JATS waiting to be employed as labor on lands which were once owned by their forefathers.

Mandouthi and Badli are huge villages with sizeable cultivable area too. With the rise in population, shrinking land size and unemployment on the rise, such happenings in big villages are occurring frequently and bring a bad name to us. Both villages are very close to Delhi border. Govt. has announced some schemes in this area. A hi-tech city has been announced to be built near Badli, and a power station too. After the land is occupied and compensation paid, such happenings may be on the increase. The area will be inhibited by outsiders, property prices will go up further and some of those youth who get the huge compensation for their lands, will start a luxurious life. But after a few years when the money diminishes, they may put their feet in crime.
Such things have happened in the past in Delhi area. All of you must have read about gangwar between some youth belonging to Mitraon and Dichaon villages in Najafgarh area, solely due to this factor. Traditional profession of agriculture is diminishing. Employment to the youth is perhaps the only solution to this problem.
