Dear Lokesh,
I was lucky to be selected to undergo a Media Mgt Course No 2 at IIMC, New Delhi in 1999.
I don't know whether that qualifies me as an 'Alumni' or not.

Pranam Uncle,
Uncle did you enrolled and completed your course from IIMC. Anyhow I am very happy that you know about IIMC. There are very few Jats who really are aware about it. In my batch I was the only who was represnting Jats and Hariyana.
REGARDS,
Lokesh.

HI,
Just saw your post and was wondering, if you have any tips on what all the entrance examination would cover. What are good books to study and where would one be able to get hold of the last 4-5 years of the examination papers. My sister is hoping to get in this year, as shes very passionate about pursuing a career in the field.
Any tips or advise would be welcome.
Thanks in advance

Dear All,
Of course, I did attend & complete the course. However, it be clarified that it was more oriented towards 'Armed Forces Officers' understanding the reach of the Media and therefore a necessity to use it as a force multiplier. During the Kargil Conflict it was seen that not many senior officers knew how to 'handle' the media. Some were seen to be more interested in media personalities... The example of Barkha Dutt conveying, inadvertantly though, the location of gun positions and time of attack on one of the important target is by now well known.
The preparatory material should be available in the IIMC itself. Someone who is in Delhi should be able to find out and help Priyanka.

JS Malik
