Dear members, Is there a posibility of a world so unique where names of all nations will disappear and a unique world order with different conotations will surface? As the casts and creeds are loosing its relevance, same way names of nations too can loose its charm, with fast developing trends and narrowing/shrinking of distances via electronic and scientific boom. Atleast i see a distinct posibility. What worthy members have to say?

Well Dev Sir,

No. I don't like the idea by any means. first of all it is impossible and if happened ever will be worse than our imagination.

Believe me i mean it.

Now days evry country have it own Nationals and they love their country more or less if there is only world i don't think that patriotism and emotions will be there for the World.

Second, main thing is the religion. As almost all religion teach the same thing i.e. mankind but mostly don't follow that and explain in a wrong way. Like some people are too liberal and somewhere people are too aggressive and orthodox and i am sure if world becomes one as a whole, clash between religion and people will be on its peak as there are no boundries. Simple example, a person residing in Saudi Arabia will gave a fatwa to all muslim females of the world to hide behind burka. And as such there is no boundries what will be the result. But now days Every country have their own rule so these kind of thing doesn't matter in another country.

A lot more but will write letter.

I want to know some other honourable member's views on it........

Sir
Its a great idea if come true all nations converging in one, their will be no differences on the basis of casts and creed. People will devolop a feeling of oneness among them. Though today it seems to be impossible but may be in coming decades it may hapenn, we can never predict future but can hope for the best. The very feeling of imagining world all one no nationalities, no religion differences is so exciting just imagine wat will hapen if it really come true.Is n't it awesome? Rest everyone has their own views and being in a democratic country we all are free to express, so lets see wat others have to say.

Dahiya Sahab,

Your dream is likely to come true but partially. Yes, partially both in terms of quality and quantity. The number of sovereign countries will not change but the meaning of sovereignty shall. Many of the nations would have compromised with their sovereignty and accepted a diluted form of imperialism—with less than ten number of empire states each dominating a variable number of subject states, by end of Ist half of this century. Many of the nations would disappear -not in the name but in the substance and spirit.

Actually the process in motion since ages is gaining momentum because of the advanced means of communications. Besides the good things it has brought , the ‘little communication gap’ situation has contributed to the increasing influence of materialistic things and consumerism in man’s life. We are heading towards a way of life where the number of things money can buy is increasing day by day. We can feel it very easily around us, if we stop for a moment to observe. Everybody knows and I would like to draw attention of the worthy members to the following facts of the day which are a clear indication of the eroding standards of human values. The instances are from Indian scenario but the problem is not India specific. The situation is almost the same (except that in i) below) across the geographical boundaries.

i) the increasing number of the newly purchased commodoty known as wife in our society. This may be a compulsion in today’s situation. But the fact is that relations, love and values are available and can be exchanged with their monetary equivalent. Ultimately we will accept these wives and the children they bear as fait accompali.
ii) number of boys and girls opting for a wealthier life parterner is increasing.
iii) our Members of Parliament including Ministers are ready to sell their priveleges at certain cost. They are not only selling their privelleges but have been caught doing so. The day is not far when if a country like USA and China choose to dethrone our government of the day, they need to spare just a fraction of their intelligence budget for arranging the passage of the vote of no-confidence against it. We can easily visualise our future as a sovereign nation if the present trend of eroding values in the society continues.
iv) our defence officers—highest ranking ones, are caught compromising with their integrity. People had hardly forgotten the Larkin brothers then this recent case has just come up. (The officers who have been evaluating the performance and certifying the integrity of such officers should be held equally responsible for the consequential damages to the nation. But who bothers!)

The list can go on and on but the focus point is: we as a people mainly of the developing countries are compromising on our basic values for things of physical comforts. Every social order always has a leader best describing the true nature of its constituents—an epitome. Therefore, the day is not far when political leaders of many of the countries will be taking all major decisions not according to their conscience or will of their people but according to the dictats of their respective global leaders. Money is going to rule the world in coming days. It has been playing an important role since ages, off course, in inter personal and international matters. Now it is the increasing level of its importance that is out-running the other factors. Should I also remind the worthy members that not long ago Japan gave us a humiliating defeat when contesting for one of the non-permanent seats of the Security Council.

May be you initiated the thread with an altogether different picture in mind. If you mean that the level of interaction and trading among people of the world would increase to such level that boundaries would cease to exist and the visa system will go, I agree with what you hope. This may be a possibility but farther in time than the scenario I tried to explain above. Next question is : would we like to have such an order?

Thanks for initiating a thought provoking thread!

It is a fools' paradise ! And that day will never come. Communism used to be the most beautiful ideology of the day - where every human being will have equality in all matters. But it failed. Globalisation will also fail very soon - signs are very clear. The Headquarters of World Trade Organisation (WTO) is based in Geneva, where I am stationed at present. It is a tool of the powerful nations to suck the blood of poor countries in the name of globalisation and free trade. There are talks that capital flow should be free and there should not be any restrictions and barriers in trade. But the flow of human beings should be restricted !

Poor countries have surplus manpower and rich ones have surplus capital which they want to invest abroad. The rich ones want to have a control of all resources of poor nations through their capital's might - they argue that capital flow should have no barriers. But visa restrictions and immigrations controls are becoming more and more strict in rich nations like USA, UK, France and even Russia - see thread 'Let down by UK' - foreign doctors (http://www.jatland.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13907) in "Current Affairs". Rich nations do not want that talented persons from poor nations should come to their lands for any purpose and finally try to settle down there. Instead, they have introduced a system of "outsourcing" i.e. their jobs be done in foreign lands where low-paid workers do their jobs nicely and entire benefits go to the rich societies. The resources of African continent are being exploited badly even today with no benefits going to those poor masses. We are lucky that British have left our land in 1947, otherwise our condition would have been worse than African nations.

The IT revolution is a bubble which may burst any day. Lalloo is not wrong when he says that this computer cannot fill the belly of a hungary man. We may laugh at his words but this seems to be a reality.

So far some valuable inputs on both counts ie FOR and AGAINST........I asked this question based on the fact that things are moving at such a fast pace and boundaries are shrinking.Casts and Creeds are loosing their relevence practically as no body bothers...[it is all economics today] about these things in present time.No it is not my choice either way....Question is in general terms[with no wish].....to get the point of view of members as to what they feel and hence would like to reqest members not to direct their feelings at the author....instead direct them at the question posed.Deswal ji,Ramphal bhai and Megha bebe thank you for good inputs!

I dont know if you know that the biggest problem world is facing today is identity crisis. Whole of the era is struggling and fighting to make their presence at the top most superior postion on the globe.
Identity can be Relegious and Ethnic. Relegious crisis- we are all suffering with it. Muslim hates Hindus, Christian & Jews hates Muslims and vice versa. There is no way these relegions can get united untill and unless God himself doesnt comes to earth.

Even the same ethnics people cant see their own people flourish. US hates Russia, China hates Japan, Pak hates India and vice versa, there is no point that these nations can unite. They can only unite against another more powerfull enemy who wants to ruin the both.
Blive it or not but yes, this is truth. The only way all the nations of the world can unite will be against an alient invasion from some other different world:)
and that isnt looking possible rightnow, may God dont make it possible ever.

Dahiyaji your views are appreciated but they certainly can never be accepted.

Bhai issa ke keh diya manne....battaiye beera......I have not taken any position either way.....pher words accept aur nahi accept honne ka sawwal kahan se uthh gya. Please read my preeceeding post bhai.

Now coming to the point you made.Yes you have the logic but thats where from my question emerged.......These intolarences, these greeds for power, lack of trust and a strong desire to dominate one another...will/can lead to the new world order i am talking about.....world may divide in blocks...may be on ethenic, economic standings, geographic lines/region wise or may be en-block.........I see it a posibility.....but here i am make it clear that it is not my wish please...but the way i see things might culmate......Thanks for the valuable inputs.

Aap to bura maan ge Dahiya ji, mere bhi isa koe matlab konya.

I took your views to political level (because world is controlled by politics)
And the answer i gave you is totally political (as visible).

Sir you are thinking about uniting people by terminating other social and political evils(ethnics, politics, relegious). This is really a wonderfull thought but again i'll say that these evils are the gift of Human Nature and Human Nature is stubborn.
One can change human views but one can never change Human Nature.

Aur Sirji Human Nature will exist as long as Human exists.:)

Good quotations!!

Malik Sahab,

Can you kindly tell me a little about the picture displayed? May be it is some painting! I really do not know. I have seen it for the first time.

Dahiya Sahab,

The discussion is going in the right direction. Please try to conclude at the appropriate time.

^ Thanx for the appreciation Deswal sir.

Well, this picture is of a fighter in a Japanese fighting Game. He is the favourate charachter of my younger brother because my brother thinks that he looks like me from some angles but i dont.
I too like him for his extra-ordinary skills in that game!! :)

Bilkul theek kahi ji apne!
changes are the laws of nature, no one can stop or deny them. We can never be sure what the world would be after we are gone. We are only the charachters in this 'World Play', we dont even know what charachter we might have to play tomorrow.

God have given us the power to participate in the world, its totally depend on us how and how-much we use these powers. If we are superfocussed then i belive we have the power to change this world and even our FATE.
Motivation and Inspiration plays very important part in our lives, how sereously we take them and use them simply start forming our destiny.

Sirji just like you said things are changing very fast, yes they are changing time to time since the creation of this Earth and the Mankind.
Every time whenever this world is formed the next time it is destroyed either partially (Like World Wars) or fully and then again from natures law another world's era take birth from its ashes(just like Mankind took birth after Dyno-Trynosourus).

And again we arnt sure what will come after Mankind, another breed of life or the complete end. I beleive in nature's laws and there is another law which says:

History repeats itself

Kya hona chahiye, kya hotaa hai or kya honaa chahiye tha!!!! These are the questions that have no answers.

There is only one power that can unite mankind in the way Dev has mentioned. NATURE. No religion, no ethnicity, no color etc can do what nature can do. The way we are degrading 'Mother Earth', a time will come when natural disasters would teach mankind, yet again, if I may say so.

JS Malik
