But knowing that you are such an awesome artist I would go for a portrait than a distorted caricature if given a chance…:)

Thank God Cool JAT called you a good cartoonist!! Am reminded of an incident often repeated in the Army. A CO was very fond of cracking jokes. One young 2nd Lieut didn't know how to respond till one day his senior told him "Damn it, when the CO cracks a joke you are supposed to laugh & say something". Lo & behold, the CO cracked another joke and the 2nd Lieut laughed and said "Sir, you are a Joker".

Keep up the good effort.

Col Malik sir, aapka cartoon/caricature kaise bana sakta hun, aapka portrait he theek rahega!....And yes, I shall try and keep that in my 'to-do' list, and hopefully someday soon!
As for you, Poonam ....yours too, if anything, would have to be a portrait! (I think I mentioned this before somewhere here; I always stay away from making cartoon sketches of women; bad call.... women never take to their distortions easily or happily! Heh! Heh!

Pradeep, yaar ab thora ghabra raha hun, sketch banane mein kitna time lga, yeh batate!... Don't want to be bombarded with any more gracious requests then I already have been! Heh!:( (nervous laugh!)...... [Hint: it was a quick pencil sketch!]...
But here is something for you to consider, that there is always one key: cartooning means just exaggerating some features, and so some are more 'distortable' than others! ...and hence faster in making/creating a caricature of than others!...

Haan Yash, demand baddh gaye hain bhai,....catch 22 situation mein aa gaya hun eeb! Ha! Ha!... (aer 'requesting' members, please aap log yeh bhi to socho kae cartoon banane ki liye clear enough picture ki bhi to zaroorat hai bahiye!...:o ! I mean I can sketch, but not a magician!... Phaer bhi now my 'to-do-a-cartoon-of' list is looong, so will hopefully get to each one of you!!!......Marva diya Jitaee! :D )

Saagar, no it's not my full time profession...but I am in what you might call a related field: Architecture (so a lot of sketching and free hand stuff!)...but yes, I have done cartooning semi-professionally (fun-wise) off and on for newspapers and magazines (most recently for an Architectural magazine here in the US)...and so it has been what you can say easy pocket money, with me basically enjoying myself freaking out on a hobby! :)

I am planning to get a cartoon book on Architectural Cartoons published hopefully soon (when I can get some time and compile enough and get the ball rolling!)...so will surely let you all know here and then hopefully you all will go out and grab a copy immaterial of whether you like Architectural cartoons or not! Ha!:D
