It is a big demise.Naushad,a Dadasaheb Phalke award winner,was a pillar of Indian music in cinema.His unforgettable 'Pyaar kiya to darna kya' has been an anthem for romantic rebellion.

it is a real loss to the industry nd to the audiances..........he started it all when it was a big hurdling job to do.......not like today that u get all the SURR on a click...........nd he himself used to look up the singers how to handle them............the great loss ....

....Naushad our Hindi film industry's Veteran composer passing away is really a blow to popular music!

I think the way Lata Mangeshkar put it is like hitting it on the nail: Quote-unquote "With his death, a generation of music composers has ended. The phase of Indian classical music that existed in our Hindi films has ended!"

Also, what is probably even more sad is that in a recent interview with a news channel, Naushad had said he believed he was yet to compose his best music.
He was ailing for sometime as is understood from the reports, and had mentioned:"My best tune is yet to come. Let me get better and then I'll show you what I can produce!!!"...........
