.
It is a happy news to see our villages connected to superhighway. But since everything is controlled by govt. machinery, it is doubtful whether it will be managed well. A village panchayat's details being given in English! Is there nobody in webdesigner team who can put something on www.smartvillages.org (http://www.smartvillages.org) in Hindi? I fear it will have the same results as that of the following web-page of Haryana Government:
http://haryana.nic.in/cmmessage.htm (http://haryana.nic.in/cmmessage.htm) :
(Here Om Prakash Chautala still exists under the photograph of present CM ! )
The new panchayat will take over and this webpage of the model village will never change - no updating. It is not like our Jatland site - which is so active despite minor nuances amongst some members !

I would not say the village is connected to internet here, info about the village is on this site that all it is. This is not being connected!
Nevertheless it is a step forward!
