He is the one to be blamed.. not for the loss.. but for not being there when his country needed him the most!!
I think he got what he deserved..!! n its not about... if refree saw him hitting or not...... u just can't do that kinda stuff ..when u know the whole world is watching u!! ... he's a cool guy normally... i don't know y did he cut loose... suddenly...:(

It was somewhat disheartening to see France loose especially since they were in complete control of the game for the most part. It's unfortunate what he did but I am not sure if he alone could have made the big difference! Just my 2 cents...

what he did was not the right thing ... but apparaently the other guy called his sister a prostitute a few times and called him names too (really mean stuff) .. so i can understand his rash behaviour ...
French have no right to complain ... if not for ZiZou they would have never gone past the play-off stage ... it was him who got them the distance they managed to cover ....

I have never been a fan of France, however as far as final game is concerned, they played a better game than Itlay. Itlay played some good game in first half only. There after it was all France as far as possession and domination of midfield was concerned.
It is unfortunate, that they Lost after playing such a spirited game. But only one team wins the final.
Zidane episode will be remembered for some time. Even though he was provocated, he had no reason to do what he did. His action was deliberate and he truely deserved the red card.
As the captain of the team he not only was to restrain himself, but also was to be a role model for others. Who knows if he was there in penalty shoot out, the result would have been different. But that IF is big one.
It is Itlay for the time being. France can now prepare for 2010.

france got more than they deserve.Zidane outster had not any impact on the game.they lost due to their goalkeeper who did not manage not stop any one of five shot even not able to reach near to the shot. italian deserve the win french looks tired in the extra time. and sub for the henry in the second half make the french attack miserable. So no sympthy fo france.hey frnds

I did not pay much attention for the entir world cup. But I saw the zidane incident over and ovr again. What he did was completely against the game; no matter what the other player said to him. It is totally acceptable to make comments during a game. Its a tactic to throw people off their mind. But it is not acceptable for a player to physically assault another player during a game, no matter what.
Thats why I always say that words carry more weight than physical actions. Someones sarcastic comments put an end to the career of one of the best football players in history.

I Respect Zidane for coming back for his country, he is the one because of whom France participated in the finals, What he did towards the end was wrong but than what italian said was more wrong.........
This leaves us with a very important question - Shouldnt there be voice recorders with playerS? We see Physical action happening and blame players for it but shouldnt we control the cause of these physical actions?

Zidane behaved like himself. He did the same thing a couple of years ago...
He behaved like a jat....pehle toh thouk doh, baad maiin deikh lenge joh hoyega....ha ha ha ha.
Aur vaise bhi agar french team without him can't manage, they don't deserve the world cup.
Even though italians deserved even lesser....u could have seen what a noutanki gattuso was upto...behaving like a andhe key haath bater lagna.

Mattarazzi has admitted to having insulted Zidane. BTW, they was also some suggestion that he pinched Zidane's nipples before the whole "chat" started.
