Now i am unable to decide which one is better option for me as for as prospects are concerened after completion of the MBA course. Kindly share your views with me on the matter..

Nitin, You should go where you got a scholarship. Moreover Boston is much better than Melbourne.

Moreover Boston is much better than MelbourneI agree that Scholarship should be the first preference but do not agree with your opinion that Boston is a better place than Melbourne to live.

I was in Melbourne for more than 2 years before moving to Sydney and the place is amazing.
No wonder it has been voted "most livable city in the world" for quite some time now.
here's something that will corroborate this post:

The living expences are one of the cheapest in urban Australia and plenty of part time jobs too.

Melbourne Business School is a very prestegious school and is highly sought after in Australia. If tuition fee is not a issue, it is a great choice.

Dear frens,

I was waiting for your views and advices for sometime, they came but i am afraid they came a little late. I have made my mind. Though initially I wanted to go to Melbourne because of it's name, rank, placement stats, recruiters but then last decision was to go to boston. The scholorship offer I am getting from there is quite tempting. Moreover a bird in hand is worth two in a bush. i got my visa and air tickets for states but have just an admission letter from melbourne.. Anyways thanks for sharing your views and your concern.

Hi Nitin

I think you made the right decision.
Rankings of MBA programs is a very volatile issue and you can get some insight on :

http://mba.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=2002rankings
This ranks MBA programs worldwide(overall).
Note that Melbourne is 99. Don't dig too much into these stats.

However note that rankings also vary a lot by the specialization. A school 5th for MBA in Finance might be 20th in MBA for marketing etc etc.

More important is ofcourse scholarship and moreover your long term goals about settlement etc.

cheers,
