The Landmark decision of converting the present C.R. State College of Engineering,Murthal Sonepat into a "Chhotu Ram State Technical University"and Khanpur Gurukul educational institutions into 'Bhagat Phool Singh State Women's University" by the "Janpriya" Haryana Govt. led by its visionary Chief Minister Hon'ble Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda is really a "amulya" gift to Haryana.It will really open new horizons for rural students. Both Ch. Chhotu Ram jee and Bhagat Phool Singh needs No introduction as their whole life for upliftment of the downtrodden and welfare of the farming community is known to ever Haryanavi.Till date Sonepat distt. had no University level Institute of higher learning.Both the institutions really deserved for these status bestowed on them for last two decades.Moreover The Haryana Govt. is also keen to set up a International Education City on GT Road, Near Sonepat for which process has already started.
