Bhai Karamveer,
There is no need to look around - go straight - see the meaning of word 'gentleman'. And yes, there is a word 'gentlewoman' too. Beware of today's 'chaaloo' English which is also called 'Hinglish' (Hindi-English), or 'Pinglish' (Punjabi mixed English). Here is the ditto version, picked up from Oxford dictionary. Hope it will clarify.
Getleman (pl –men) 1. a man who is polite and shows consideration for the feeling of other people; a man who always acts in an honorable way: Thank you – you’re a real gentleman. He’s no gentleman ! Compare lady. 2(a) gentlemen [pl] (fml) (used as a polite form of address to men): Gentlemen of the jury! Ladies and gentlemen (e.g. when beginning a speech)… (b) (used as a polite way of referring to a man): there’s a gentleman at the door. [ note at LADY. 3. [C] (used as a polite way of referring to a man): (dated) a man of wealth and social position, esp one who does not need to work for a living: a country gentleman – a gentleman farmer (ie one who owns a farm, but does no physical work himself). IDM : ladies and gentleman [ (1) LADY u gentleman adj. (approv) of or like a gentleman (1): gentlemanly behaviour- So far, the contest between the two candidates has been a rather gentlemanly affair.
Gentleman’s agreement (also gentlemen’s agreement) n an agreement that has no legal force but depends on the mutual trust and good faith of those involved.
Gentlewoman n (pl –women) a woman from a noble family: a LADY(3).

Karmveer maine to majak mein reply kiya tha..i'm sorry for that as i didn't thought about it that you may take it other way....i don't say that all guys are not gentle....there are every kind person on earth and each one of us are different in our attitude....and gentleness depends on person's personality...saare ek jaise nahin ho sakte....and if you are asking about these relations....then according to what i've seen in my family i didn't found any enemy like that...they all are having good relations with each other....touchwood!! that i'm brought up in such a nice and family....baaki suna bahaut hai ye sab bahar ke logon se....issliye jo maine dekha nahin uske baare main bahas bhi nahin karti....can only take every care from my side...and dear pls don't get angry at my that reply....the way people are addressed is in this sense....ladies and gentleman dono hi respect dene waale words hain...a refined, polite and well- spoken woman is addressed as lady and in the same manner for a gentle manner, of good birth or family, honorable, respectable, polite, soft man me use gentle word for him...so both these words ladies and gentlemen are addressed to people with courtesy....just the difference is that ki hum woman ke saath gentle na laga ke unhe ladies kah ke address karte hain...but both the words are pleasing.
Regards
Neelam:)
