JAIPUR: The Jat community's honeymoon with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan appears to have ended in the wake of the recent murders of its leaders in Sikar and Nagaur and the general resentment over the community being sidelined by the State Government. The twin murders in Deedwana town in Nagaur district have once again placed the old caste rivals, the Rajputs and Jats, in an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation making the balancing act between the two warring communities difficult for the Vasundhara Raje Government.
Initially as the Jat community demanded arrest of the accused in the murder of Mr. Godara, the Rajput community exerted pressure warning the Government against harassing "innocent" persons. The issue was first settled with Rajputs after Ms. Raje's emissaries, Public Works Department Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore and Water Resources Minister Sanwarlal Jat, talking to the leaders of the Rajput Sabha. The leaders of the Jat community also were involved in a similar dialogue but in the absence of any arrests taking place the feelings of the group could not be assuaged.
"We had had enough of this Government. We plan to march with lathis to Jaipur. The community is collecting an amount of Rs.2.5 crore for the occasion," said D.S.Choudhary of Jat Mahasabha from Nagaur.
Lathis are not the end of it. The Rajputs, more familiar with metal than wood, have promised to march to Jaipur carrying naked swords in their hands.
"I came to this news today when i am just surfing net n feel very bad "
And According To My Knowledge no such lathi march was taken place clearly shows that we affraid n we consider ourself inferior i hv many time hot talks with pandits n rajputs but this jat has never ever allow them to dominate . just i want to say that dieing is better than living like dead person , n specially when u r among the top kshatriya community in country . when 6 out of 23 paramveer chakra belong to jat regiment . just proove that when we are wild no one ..no one can stand infront.

Shame Shame Shame ...... We need to rise up .. We need to reclaim our pride ...
I donot mean we need to resolve to crime or violence .. but we do definately need to come together and press for justice ... If due justice is not done .. we need to get justice for ourselves ...
If government and the judiciary is not capable .. we will find the guilty and punish them ourselves ...

This is 1990. A Congress Goverment in Rajasthan in which Paras Ram Maderna, Kamala Beniwal, Sis Ram Ola, Ram Deo Singh Maharia and there were few more Jats were ministers.
A Mathur Chief Minister. A Jat king slams his jeep into an idling chopper used by the Mathur Chief Minister. A Jat hater Rajput DSP goes after the Jat king also, an independent MLA for life long.
The Rajput DSP finds the Jat King in the Deeg Bazzar and kicks and shoots the king (if I remember 3-4 times) in day light infront of everyone.
None of the Jat ministers uttered a word. Few kids came on the road in Jaipur for half a day and then went back to their routine.
Nothing happened till date. Talk of pride?

The above incidents are more politically motivated. In fact, in fact in Sikar both parties seemed Jats and in Nagur both parties were friends. Of course now this has become a caste issue.
In Rajputs there are bastards like Kalvi, Devi Singh Bhati and there is this new worm Ranvir Singh Guddha from Udaiputwati/JJN. There is no equivalent of these in Jats.

Not trying to undermine the PVCs and it is an honour indeed. But have you ever heard of that from mainstream media?
Not really, right? Then for whom were Jats are fighting for and what for?
So, in the end it did not look much more than a good job done at work. That's about it.
During the Kargil and even after that the Non-Jats were glorified. Have you seen even a single movie in which they have shown a Jat Sepoy, Captain, Major, Brig. as a main charecter or Hero?
No right? So, why and who Jats are fighting for and giving their lives in for? Why are they making their wives widows and their kids fatherless?

If there are 6 PVCs then asking for Chief of Staff is more appropriate.

Sura Ji ......
Your point is absolutely valid and right ....... nobody is to be blamed for our impotence .. but us ourselves ....
We call ourselves the brave and strong quam and then when it is time to display that bravery and fight for the right ..... we sit out like gay men ...
we should be ashamed of ourselves ........ Rajasthan is a different matter ... in Rajasthan we have two strong communities fighting for dominance .. Jats and Rajputs ......
In Haryana we are definately dominant ...... and what did we do in Gohana ???
Just a bunch of faggets .. trying to be real men .........

Dear Friends,
The JAT regiment is yet to win a Param Vir Chakra. Yes, JATS have won the PVC but not the JAT Regiment.
What have the JAT Kings done for a common JAT? The King's sons and/or brothers should have gone & beheaded that DSP or the CM for that matter. Why should I and you be feeling ashamed for what the so called king did or did not do?
No one is a Kshatriya by birth. One becomes a Brahmin or Shudra by his/her actions. And in fact educated people should not believe in casteism. Let us discuss progress, education, job opportunities, child welfare, development of rural areas, primary health, clean drinking water, sanitation etc etc.

Jagmohan Ji .........
In my humble opinion there is nothing wrong with casteism ... anyway Jat is not a caste it is a race ..... and there is nothing wrong with casteism or raceism as long as it does not intend to harm anyone .. but raise pride and awareness about your own past and blood ......
And in a perfect world there would be no place for casteism/raceism .. but we do not live in a perfect world and we have to stand up for our rights and dignity ..
Yes the so called kings family members , his brother or son should have done something about it ........... somebody try treating my father like that .... i swear to God ... i will cut into pieces and drink his blood ... and i literally mean it ....
So its their own impotence that they did not do anything .............. but if someone dares to disrespect Jats or try to do injustice to them .. its our duty to stand up to it and fight for our honour ....... Honour is what a Jat lives for ....

I want to make it one thing clear here that those Jats were not murdered due to Jat-Rajput ages old rivalry but due to personal differences between one of their old business partner who is Rajput by chance.
It was just a political gimmick to highlight this issue n put more fire in it by making it Jats-Rajput rivalry...u know guys these crap politicians dont have any cast or race, they're just dirty politicians...so dont expect any Jat leader come forward & stand for their Race, same thing happened here, no body came in front not even Mr. Vijay Poonia, who hails from the same place where this shoot out held! Forget about Janta Party or Jat Mahasabha, they all in search for new issues to criticize each other.
Anyways, Jahan tak Dignity or self-respect ka sawal hai, Jat sir kata lega lekin sir jhukayega nahi, aur ye baat prove bhi hoti hai when u learn more about this Jat-Rajput rivalry... u know ppl, yahan Rajasthan mein most of the royal families & Jamidars were Rajputs only....aur in Rajputs ne Baniyon or Brahiman ke saath milke Rajasthan ke Jaton ke dabane ki conspiracy kari....unhone hume dabane ki jee-todd kosish kari aur bahut tarah ke julam dhaye lekin Jaton ko dabana muskil hi nahi impossible hai, isliye hamesa unhone muh ki khayi, u see!
U know, Rajathan ke Jats hamesa se hi financialy poor rehe hein kyunki like most of Jats, Rajasthan ke jat bhi Farmers hein aur inki rozi roti Kheti se hi chalti aayi hai.....but needless to say about water crisis in Rajasthan.....isliye Jat hamesa se hi struggle karta aaya hai but u know 'Hard Work Conquers All' isliye Jat aaj apni mehant ke bal butte par hi Rajputon se far better hein...Rajasthan ke Jats self made hein jabki in Rajputon ka Raj to chala gaya bas put hi put reh gaye jo abhi bhi apne aap ko maharaja samajte hein lekin un nahi maloom ki unki jhoonti shaan jyada din nahi chale wali kyunki kuch hi dino mein unki jaydaad khatam ho jaayegi.
All in all, ye baat to sach hi hai ki Jats-Rajputs ki Rivalry pehle bahut jyada hua karti thi lekin Jaton ne kabi anyay nahi saha aur hamesa muh-tod jawab diya Rajputon ko, I feel Rivlary kahi na kahin aaj bhi jinda hai lekin eib pehle jaisi ladai nahi rehti....aajkal koi Rajput kisi Jat ke saamne kaum ki burai karne ki himmat nahi karta kyunki unko maloom hai ki agar Jat bigad jata hai to fir ek kya dus rajputs pe bhi bhari padta hai.
As for Political scenes here in Rajasthan...forget that Jat netas will do anything, I guess they're Politicians first then Jats, so dont get excited about these political gimmicks!
Rock on

PS – those who don’t know about Jat-Rajput rivalry better watch out epic movie ‘Gulami’ it’s a masterpiece n very much true, ye movie dekh ke har Jat ka khoon khol uthta hai n other gud movie based on same rivalry is ‘Bantwara’ just see it!!

Jit,
I admire Vijay Bhai Saab for what he did for Jats. That was the single most important turning point for Jats in Rajasthan. Sure, there are lots of other un-sung heros too who were with him.

Sura Bhaisaab,
Ram Ram!
here I dont agree bhaisaab that Vijay Poonia has done anything for Jats. Although he's always been a role model bitween young Jats of Rajasthan but I doubt he's done anything to uplift the community.
As far as I know, Poonia gaon ke bolle bhalle Jat ladkon ko apne khud ke fayade ke liye use karta hai & nothing else. Aap muje uska ek kaam bhi bataiye jo usne Jat community ke liye kara ho. Aapko maloom hoga ki Jaipur mein around 5 Jat hostels hein aur Mr. Poonia ein Jat hostels ke ladkon ko hi use karta hai jyadatar apne fayde ke liye like jameene khali karvana ya kabja karna & other notorious activities.
Bhaisaab, u know, ein murders ke hone ke baad bhi Vijay poonia ne Rajasthan sarakar ke khilaaf kuch bhi nahi bola just cuz his wife is travel minister in this goverment. Aur aapko shayad pata ho ki ish incident ke baad Nagaur ke Jats Poonia se itne gussa hue ki unhone use Nagur mein ghusne tak nahi diya.
So all in all Vijay Poonia is not an exception, he's also a Politican!

Jit,
What you have just decribed is not the first time I have heard about Vijay Bhai Saab. This is a typical Jat style criticims of another Jat.
I don't say that Vijay Poonia is a God and it would be naive to except such a thing from a human being.
As far as profits go there nothing wrong in capitalizing on opportunities. Vijay has done that and along with him there are *numerous* other Jats have benefitted and they have done amazingly well.
I personally know most of them. Believe me without Vijay Poonia phenomenon they won't be anywhere.
Vijay Poonia made a place for Jats. Jats just used his name and benefitted in Jaipur.
It was the *person* but Vijay Poonia phenomenon what really you need to think about.

Jit,
I have never lived in these hostels but was *very closely* associated with them for more than a decade.
The building behind the Suchna Kender which Vijay made as Jat hostel has benefitted the Jat kids enormously. It is free (I hope it still is) for Jat kids in one of the most expensive city in India.
I saw poor Jat kids coming from all over Rajasthan becoming RAS, RJS, RPS, Doctors, Teachers...you name it.
And yes, there were some Jat kids who couldn't do well in education took different path and went doing different things.
There was never a single incidence where Vijay forced anyone to do anything for him. In fact, they went to him and asked for work. He helped or tried to help who seeked help.

Dear Sura Bhaisaab,
I dont have personal enmity with Vijay poonia, even my elder bro is gud friend of him, but I said what I observed & truth is always bitter.
I agree to the fact that Vijay Poonia has been a Role model & young Jats had immense respect for him, even every Jat used to address him as bhaisaab. But tell me is it right to use younger bros in a wrong way instead of guidin them for brighter future.
I agree that there was gud hold of him in Jaipur for long time & also
agree that many jats would have used his name but certainly in a wrong way, cuz his image was of Don type.
Bhaisaab, I had plenty of friends in various hostels like Kisan, Jawahar & swadhin so I'm pretty much aware of the poor condition of the hostels, I doubt if u've seen other community's hostel like Meena & Yadav...if u wud have seen then u wud realize where our Jat hostels stand.
Anyways, one last thing, a cognizant Jat student wud never stay in these polluted hostels for studing, he wud rather rent a room for peaceful & sound enviorment. I've seen how brilliant Jat boys get spoiled in these hostels reason bein workin for Poonia in wrong deeds instead of payin attention to career. So still I believe instead of being a guiding light to Young Jats he uses them for his own wrong deeds.
So matter of the fact, he's not done anything specific n remarkable for our community.
thats all, Over n out!!!

Jit,
The gist of our conversation is not about one person and rather is about our *Jat mindset*. Vijay Poonia is a good way to talk about our mind set.
That said, true that Vijay Poonia did not turn into a social worker. Though, these social workers are the worst abusers. Fine, he did capitalize on various opportunities but, so did those who worked with him. It wasn't like he was the only one to benefit. Every Jat worked with him benefitted. IMO, calling him a Jat kid user is a blind or at least one sided view.
You may point out that he was involved in land deals. Everyone knows if one gets in that bussiness there is need of musle power. Be that a Khurana, or a Jain, or a Rathore or a Poonia. That is just the nature of that business. If you don't have musle power you don't belong in that bussiness. There were some kids wanted to work with him in this bussiness and he let them. I don't think that makes it wrong. IMO, it is just part of bussiness. You do it or you don't. Then there is no perfect world.
A general (nothing personal) comment -
Criticism, specially, the negative one is lot easier than construction. Not a recipe for success.
