How forunate are we
to have this day to us;
`Lohri is for the girl child`
How loudly they make a fuss.

Rituals is this one day
in themselves to bear;
manifestations
of all tht we face throughout the year.

We are sweet little things
like the rewaries f the day;
Theyfling a fistful in the fire
`Burn all our sins`-they pray.

Some of us,caught in the blaze,
meet our molten end;
doused in dowry`s oil
some recognisable , some beyond

And some others, tht fall aside,
fail to see the light of day;
trampled, sniffed by cold,gloved-hands
in their shallow graves, they lay.

And still some others f us
kicked and strewed everywhere;
By cruel, thoughtless minds
to be dumped, here nd there.

Behind the bush, near the nallah
in the deep well,on the dung heap,
We lay quietly in small bundles
for the sweepers-to sweep.:(

How fortunate are we!
to have this day to us;
`Lohri is for the girl child`
How rightly they make a fuss.

I dont think i have to write nything more to write here to share what i wanted to ..!!

no God...no some superpower bt WE need to stand with n beside the girl child..!!
