ACCORDING to the news haryana has the largest number of rural crorepatis in india
for detail you can check this
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1231491.cms
NEW DELHI: Delhi and Mumbai continue to be the major centres of wealth in India, accounting for half of the roughly 20,000 crorepati households in the country. And Kolkata, often berated as a has-been city, has more crorepati households than Bangalore and Hyderabad put together.
If you think this is only because of Kolkata’s significantly bigger size, consider this: 180 households of every million households in Kolkata are crorepati compared with 113 for every million in Bangalore. Cyberabad is only just a little better than the eastern megapolis on this count with 191 crorepati homes for every million households.
These are some of the findings of an NCAER survey on India’s rich. But Rajesh Shukla, senior fellow at NCAER, says the biggest myth the survey shatters is that the country’s wealth resides in cities. Rural India has a larger crorepati density than urban India.
For long "India vs Bharat" has been used to signify the urban-rural divide as much as the gulf between the haves and the have-nots. This, however, seems to be changing. Simple assumptions like the bigger the city, the more the riches are no longer axiomatic.
In Haryana, for instance, the number of rural households with annual incomes above Rs 1 crore is more than the number of crorepati urban homes. In fact, with 482 crorepatis, rural Haryana beats Bangalore, which has only 137 crorepatis. In Punjab, too, there are almost as many crorepatis in the villages and small towns (those with less than 5 lakh population) than in the bigger cities.
Sample this: 350 of every million households in small towns have a Rs 1-crore-plus annual income, considerably higher than the proportion even in metros like Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In fact, rural and small-town Haryana and Punjab, too, have higher densities of crorepatis than Bangalore or Kolkata.
This may come as news to many of us, but the marketing men in corporate India should already know this. A quarter of all car loans, for instance, are taken by households that do not live in India’s 20 biggest cities.

I believe that Gurgaon could be the next Singapore or Dubai if the state government can get duty-free status for the city. A lot of international businesses will move in creating mindblowing opportunities and revenue for the state.
Next thing that would need to be done is to privatize town planning. Let private developers develop Gurgaon to international standards.
I have been to Gurgaon a few times, six years ago. Back then I was amazed by the kind of development happening there. I wonder what it is like now.

The news comes as no surprise to me that rural haryana tops the list of Crorepatis......as far as Sumit's suggestion of promoting Gurgaon is concerned...i fully agree with him...Gurgaon should be developed as a hub of knowledge base industry.....and the concerned authorities can do that by keeping the corruption as low as possible (because corruption agleee 10-20 saloon main to kahatm hoteee diktee nahi...)
Similalrly Rural Haryana should be nurtured for more of Blue Collor jobs by promoting setting up of factories so that ppl. get employment.....because due to the shrinking land size Unemployment is slowly becoming a major prob for Haryana. Thus we will have a good mix of Agriculture, Industries and Factories and Knowledge based industries like IT Development centres, BPO etc....

Hello!!!!
What happens to our mindset? Where we are moving? Forward?????
Its only the Wealth moving! We are JATS not Baniyas!!!! But now we are only for wealth. We are selling our land to MNCs, our girls crying in the womb for life, our panchayati system is on the verge of failure, our principles are now only in thoughts, our festivals are now only formalities and we are saying WE ARE MOVING FORWARD!!!! What it is? Where is the jatism?
its bachwardism.
We will move forward when we understand our principles, apply them in our life, infuse them in others and when the we will make everyone happy living in the JATLAND and the nation.

I am sure it would never happen
Organizations are allready moving away from Gurgaon towards Noida and Greater Noida as it lackes infrastructure tremendously...... n since it is not properly planned, it wouldnt even improve.

Namaste Rakeshji,
I'm not a passimistic, instead i want to introduce the thought of improving the society as whole not only in one aspect. Today most of the JAT intellectuals are feeling the same as i posted. There may be many methods to improve the society but i feel the reason of backwardness is only our ATTITUDE. SEE THE POINTS:
1) Today educated persons got job in the govt/private sector. after getting job the person think only about his family. He/She forgot thge society from where he/she belongs. they have no sensitiveness about the problems of the people who are responsible for his/her success(the villagers as a whole).
2) If they are sensitive they want to improve the condition through unorganised methods. WE, the jats, must have an organised system to help our people. but this system also fails because of the deceiving nature of common men. Its very hard to find a truthful and honest person. each and everyone have personal obligations bigger than the social obligations.
and it is againt the basic rule that society should be considered bigger than the society.
3) we the educated persons are not taking part in the political and social affairs actively. our panchayati system is in the hands of drunkers, smokers, flesh eaters and at large the uneducated persons. we the educated jats feel satisfied in the jobs of smal amount of money in thousands but the uneducated and untruthful persons are playing with the budgets of crores/billions of rupee .
4) if a dacoit/thief rules the system, he/she will make law for themselves. not for the noble men.
5) every person can't be considered the CITIZEN, if one is dishonest about oneself(smoking, drinking and flesh eating are harmful for the body), how can we expect that they will remain truthful towards the society. CITIZEN is the person who is truthful toward the society.
6) At large we must design a system in the jatland to improve the thought process of people. to infuse honesty, truthfulness, sensitiveness towards each other. it can be possible through organised jat educational system. it only needs men of high character.
CHARACTER BUILDING PROCESS IS COMPLETE SOLUTION OF ALL EVILS, none else. Lets start it.

Acc to me two things that stands out in ur response are as follows and my commnets against them (In bold):
1. improving the society as whole ATTITUDE is the key to that : I agree that attitude is very imp. I have seen ppl. in my village who had previously voted in the Sarpanch (panchayat) elections for people who are from thier Ghar-Kunba while ignoringthe right and educated candidate....unfortunatley most of ppl in my village are still educationally backward (though not financially).
last time if an educated person tried to say anything useful most of them in public, they just laughed at him/her and had said that "what do u know abt village....u live in the city....hamnee ghanee siksha deen ke jarorat na see...."
But now i can see the change...this time they have voted for an educated and young person and made him the sarpanch. And surprisingly the same ppl. who used to laught at ppl who were more educated to them are now coming to meet the same peoples like u and me to seek advice on mattre related to education and carrer for thier children. These are signs which encourage me. I can see the willingness and desire in them to give good education to thier children and progess....so i feel their attitude is changing.
2. CHARACTER BUILDING : At large we must design a system in the jatland to improve the thought process of people. It can be possible through organised jat educational system. it only needs men of high character.
With propor and good education character development will happen automatically. Therefore I stongly feel that education is the key to the problems that we see in rural haryana. People are realising that future Akal se bantaa hai Nakal se nahi....and here I again see the hope. personally I try to help anybody who comes to me for my advise and suggestions because of a little bit of experiance that I have. I Think this the least that we can do to help our society..

YEAH bhai saab you are more than 100% right that we can develop the society and haryana through EDUCATION. this is the one area in which we are lagging behind. there is not a single institute in haryana which we can count among best in INDIA

Very true, lot more needs to be done.
Till the people of rural Haryana are not educated and empowered development will be restricted to cities only. Some community Initiatives must be started on this regard.
One Very good example such initiative is eChaupal concept started by the ITC group. Many more are required.

Well said Sumit, but the trouble is if they put local developers in charge, then the developers will have their own agenda in mind. Therefore Haryana Govt., should have a town planning commission that implements such rules as minimum setback requirements before building permits are handed out. These setback can have mandatory lawn and landscape included...thereby making Gurgoan more beautiful. Something on the lines of here in the USA. But for all this, one has to have vision, and it comes with a cost $$.
Localities should also have parks and trees planted to keep the green belt alive. Haryana Cities definitely deserve a little greenery so to speak ( No pun intended)
I am sure we can find well qualified and good people to head the planning commission.
