Hello Warriors,
Like all we know according to Varnaashrama, there are four major castes in society according to the Karmas and we all enjoy the a high status in this strata as martial race.
While travelling and interacting with various people all over, I conceded that everyone who is from Haryana (devoid of caste) is being taged a JAT.So I want to start a discussion over Jats as caste or a particular Characterstic.Personally I feel Jat is a Character and anyone who possess qualities like of Jat(as you all know) should be Jat or he may be baptised as Jat.Isnt it? Like Guru Gobind Singh baptised everyone with "Singh" in Punjab to recognise their real strength by allowing them to drink Amrit.I feel it was a great work of equity in contemprary era.So Whats your say on Jat as Characaterstics or Jat as Caste!!

Kadian Bhai ....... seems like you are a new member of Jatland ... This issue had been raised and settled at least a million times here on Jatland ......

Forget about this bloody caste system ....... this is an invention of Pandits ....

Jats are an ethnic group ......... they are a blood line and gene pool its not a mentality ........ or just random people grouped together as a caste ......

Jats have existed much before the caste system and in different countries and regions they fall under different caste

This caste system confuses everyone ....... Jats are not called Jats because they follow a certain profession , but because they belong to a particular blood line ... they share a common gene pool

And because others donot understand the concept and label every Haryanvi as Jat does not mean that you start doubting your own identity or start getting mixed up ........

just like not every British or American in white .. but most people assume an American or British to be white ...... same is the case with those ignorant souls who assume every Haryanvi to be Jat ......

Do a bit of digging in the History Section and you will see in detail what are Jats ....... people like Ravi Chaudhary, Narender Kharub, Vinod Sangwan, SK Tewatia, Burdak Ji, Dudhee Ji have done a lot of commendable research in this field
