In a major embarrassment to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Mr Om Parkash Chautala, former Chief Minister of Haryana who has come here as a star campaigner for the SAD-BJP combine, has said Chandigarh belongs to Haryana.

The SAD has been fighting for the transfer of Chandigarh and other left-out Punjabi speaking areas since the reorganisation of the state on November 1, 1966. These demands are included in the Anandpur Sahib resolution of 1973.

“Chandigarh is indisputably of Haryana and the inter-state river waters dispute between Punjab and Haryana has to be resolved by the leaders of both states. If they fail to resolve the matter amicably, then the option of court is open to settle the long-pending issue”, said Mr Chautala while talking to mediapersons here today. — TNS Active member

Chautala is a real Jat and behave like that not like other politicians who just like to take benefits from the situations.

Let me ask a simple and honest question here ?

Congress govt. is ruling in Haryana, Punjab and in centre, so why don't they try to solve Satlez-Yamuna link river issue (the life line of Haryana ).

Any answer ???

There is a lot of difference between three party alliance and a single party headed by a person whose order is everything for the party

Indeed it is easier said then done.

But no issue is unresolvable if there is Poitical Will to resolve it.
The shining example is the solving of Pujab problem by the political will of Late Sh. Beant Singh and late PM Sh. Rao.

Congress never interested to solve any problem wheather its Punjab-Haryana, Karnataka-Tamilnadu and also in Rajsthan every where water problem exists due to Congress leaders are not interested. Why Ram Mandir, Assam and Kashmir problems are not yet solved. Congress is mother of all these problems.

let say let Chaudhary shaib do his job their in punjab .He is not Advani who will trun 180 when in other state .

see guys we should not finght on there issues.yes i know syl is a very big issue .butthe congress is not going 2 solve this problem.because they love 2 divide people on the bases of there language,caste and religion.to get political advantage.

Now the election is over now in Panjab.
so we can discuss this SYL problem now.
We all know the problem. Govt Came gone and will change again.
This is problem of masses.
Haryana must get its share of water.
All states of Indian union must honour the Supreme court decision.
We have to come out from party poltics on this National issue.
All political parties must be united.
Dekho Bhaio Punjab mae jakar public kahna bahut badi himat ki Baat hae.
Yah kam Tau ka hi Beta kar sakta.

Chautala Sahib mae Jat wali Himat to hae.
yah bat to manani hogi
