nice to know that u have finished your dental graduation from a reputed college.ortho is good branch for post graduation and depending upon your prefrences for which college you want to join i would suggest u should check atleast:
1)how old the department in the college is ?
2)how many postgraduates have passed out ?
3)whats are the credentials of your guide ?
4)how many is the daily input of new patients in your department ?
5)DO post graduates who are doing thesis have easy accessebility to all the latest journals and materials.

plus lot of other factors like university status,fees,your current location or your future area of practise should be taken in to consideration.
govt. colleges or even some private reputed colleges should be preferred over new colleges for post graduation.
MDS degrees are not earned they are given by ur guide to u .....
so ...all the best.

In your first year you will definately require 4 senior lecturers(MDS),professor in conservative and prosthetics,readers and BDS lecturers plus anatomy and physiology teachers.i am having few friends whome you may find worthy for your DCI inspection and college. if you have any particular requirement i will be very pleased to help you in your noble endeavour.
