In 1978, when I was 16-17, I receiveved my MCM Scholarship at IIT Delhi for 5-6 months n borrowing a few hundred rupees from others i became the life member of this society. Then honrary Director P S Lamba Called Summander Singh and he advised Dr. Lamba that Tewatia is too young, lets make his father as life member of this society. My father is its life member since then.

Dr. P S Lamba, Dr. Puran Singh Dabas, Dr. Nathan Singh, Ram Niwas Mirdha ji, Dr. Balbir Singh, Nathuram Mirdhaji, HKL Bhagatji, Justice Mahavir Singhji, Chaudhary Charan Singhji etc. were instrumental in its formation and earlier development. It was initiated basically with a view to provide rural boys necessary coaching for competitive exams. Some scholarships were also given to promising needy boys, I remember. It was the observation of its founders and makers that Jat/Rural boys lack behind in competitive exams. Its surprising to note now, though its my personal opinion, that some Jats even now deny reservation for them in OBC as if general Jats are very educated and forward!!!!!!
