Very common but wud like to post....
There are four people in an adventure race that need to get across a lake. They have a small canoe. The rules say that only the slowest person in the canoe can paddle, only one or two can be in the canoe at a time, and they must all cross in the canoe. From practice, they know that:
Ann can paddle across in 1 minute.
Bill can paddle across in 2 minutes.
Sue can paddle across in 5 minutes.
Mike can paddle across in 10 minutes.
How do they get everyone across the river in the fastest time without breaking the rules?

12:34 5/6/78 : if the increasing order thingy aint right then I've naother one in mind:
1+2+3= 6 (sum of 2 digits of hrs and 1 of mins)
2+3=5 (sum of 1 digit each)
3+4=7 (sum of 2 digits of mins)
1+3+4=8 (sum of 1 frm hrs and 2 frm min)
Well, wot I'm trying to explain is, the numbers in date are sum of 2 or 3 digits from time...(makes sense??):D:eek:

There are four people in an adventure race that need to get across a lake. They have a small canoe. The rules say that only the slowest person in the canoe can paddle, only one or two can be in the canoe at a time, and they must all cross in the canoe. From practice, they know that:
Ann can paddle across in 1 minute.
Bill can paddle across in 2 minutes.
Sue can paddle across in 5 minutes.
Mike can paddle across in 10 minutes.

A game of cards is being played such that an Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen= 12 and King = 13. The rest of the cards are assigned the points printed on them. A suit is dealt such that the top card is lifted and looked at. This is then placed face down and the rest of the cards is lifted and looked at. This is then placed face down and the rest of the cards are dealt without looking at the cards to the particular player such that if the first card were say 7, then other cards are counted 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. the dealing stops at the count 13. Therefore this player would get 7 cards.
Having finished the dealing to all the players if some cards are leftover, they are kept aside.
If the total number of cards dealt is equal to the square of the number of players, then how many people are participating in the game at the maximum?

ek tash pati ka game hai usme card bate ja rehe hai.. har card ke no assigned hai .. raja(king) ke 13, rani(queen) ke 12, gulam(jack) ke 11 aur eke (ace) ko 1 no..bakiyo ke card ke no hi uske no hai..
ab agar card batte time kisi bi player ko dene se pehle sabse upar ka card uth ke dekha jata hai..ab us card par jo bi no hai .. jaise us card par no 7 aye..to us player ko 7 ke sath age ke card distribute kar diye jate hai bina dekhe.. aur baki ke cards ki counting 8 se saru hote huwe 13 par ruk jati hai.. is parkar us player ke pass total 7 card aye..
isi tareh baki ke players ko card baat diye jate hai...
yeh to hai situation... now question yeh hai ki agar total no of cards jo bate gaye hai wo participate karne wale players ke square ke barabar hai.. to maximum kitne players ho sakte hai ..

Yes ! you got it right !!
Bhai devendra it was very simple riddle.. see! there are total of 52 cards right.. and it says that no of cards are dealt equal to the squares of players, participating in the game..
So simply think the maximum no. which we can have perfect square equal to or less then 52 that could be only 49 that means the no is 7.. hence the maximum no of players will be 7.

A quack – Dr Fool’s Paradise – fools his customers by claiming to predict future using a unique method. He has three parrots kept in three different cages. Each cages has three cards with a single non-zero digit inscribed on every card. No two cards have the same number and no cage contains two cards with digits totaling ten. Further, the total of three cards in the first cage is greater by two than the total in the second cage and by four than that of the third cage. When a customer asks for his prediction, the quack lets out the three parrots which randomly picks one card out of their respective cages. Before the perdiction is made, the quack totals the digits on the three picked cards and charges the customer the same number of rupees as the total of the cards. One day a customer paid seven rupees for his prediction.
Then What is the lowest payment possible ?

The clubs have their coaches as Chandra, Gabaskar, Faruq and Azharrudin, the order not being certain. Anil is not playing for Floster while Azharrudin is coaching Charles club. Two players share their initials with their coaches. Also one of the coaches shares his initials with the initial of the club he is coaching. Gavaskar is coaching at the club whose name starts with the initial of the player playing for it. Whom does Faruq coach ?

On the first day of a PG course of a college, the class registered cent percent attendance from the students for the two-hour introduction lecture. Some students arrived late for the class while some left early before the lecture could get finished in 2 hours. A third of who arrived on time for the class left early, and the rest left on time. Of those who arrived early for the class, a fourth left early while an equal number left late and the rest left on time. Also, half of the number of students arriving late left on time and the rest left late. It is known that the number of students who left early is half the number who arrived early while the number of students who left on time is 4 less than twice the number who arrived on time and the number of students who left late is exactly 1 less than the number who arrived late. How many students had enrolled for that PG course.

When the long time popular TV program “Mein Banoonga Crorepati” filmed a show in India, host Amitabh Bachchan qizzed three local contestants, including one from Patna, as they vied for cas in the game’s three round. During the action, the contestants, including Harvinder, answered questions during First round and Second round; each then wagered part or all of the amount he or she had won on the Final round question to determine the final sums and game winner. The three finished with Rs. 17,000 amon them, with no two having the same sum. The following clues are also given.
During the Final round, Asmit doubled the money he had won through the Second round and Patel added Rs. 2000 in winnings, but the contestant from Ahmedabad missed the final answer and lost 1/3 of the winnings through the first two rounds.
The winner, who isn’t Salooja, had Rs. 3000 more than the second-place contestant.
Patnayak and contestant from Chandigarh both missed the same Rs. 2000 question in the category “Crossword Words” near the end of second round.
Sheetal finished in third place with a final total of Rs. 4000.
After the Second round and going into Final round, the three contestants had amassed Rs. 13000 among them.

3. A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse? Give a reason.
No it does not collapse. Because it has driven a half mile - you would subtract the fuel used from the total weight of the truck. Or itnaa weight to bird ka nahi hogaa jeetna truck ne tel pee liya hoga...........

क्योंकि वे दोनों "जुड़वां" हैं - यानी उनके शरीर जुड़े हुए हैं । डाक्टर ही उनके शरीरों को अलग कर सकते हैं - सर्जरी द्वारा ।
