Worthy members, which out of these seems correct for Sehwag maharaj?
1] He is a victim of inside politics.
2] He does not want to learn the trick of the trade.
3] He is under some sort of curse.
4] His stars are letting him down.
After all he was not so ago a match winner and every baller feared him.Aaakhir iss bhai ko kya huwa?

Yeh rest toh sehwag kay liye bahut lamba saabit ho gaya.
But I'm sure he will be back atleast in the tests.
He has awesome record against aussies, I'm sure he will be provided with a chance.

1. Victim of Politics:
This could be a reason?
a. He was part of Ganguly camp and Chappell's favorite.
b. Mr. Mahindra defeated Mr. Pawar in last elections.
c. Getting Zafar and Agarkar in team may help Mr. Pawar to look for the votes.
My Reasons:
1. Firstly: Sehwag was dropped from the test team where his record is excellent as an opener.
2. His replacement Zafar, is as inconsistent as any one else.
3. Sehwag probably may be a better fielder and brings in an additional option of his off spin bowling. Hence purely on merit he should have made it to England when compared to his replacement.
4. If Dinesh Karthik was his replacement, then I would say that probably only on skills Sehwag should have made the grade. Dinesh played some valuable knocks in England, but that does not make him the best opener in the country available.
5. Dropping of Sehwag from the one day team also did not make much sense to me, if the performance in world cup was any measure for that. I think Sehwag's performance in the World Cup was much better than most of those who made it to England.
6. If the idea was to bring in the young players, then what Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid are doing in the team? Sehwag is definitely younger than all of them as also VVSL.
7. Not picking Sehwag for the first three matches also did not make sense to me, specially after his performance in the 20/20.
I think it is the time that we must look beyond, Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman. If we want to build the team for 2011 world cup, the people from under 19 squad and the fring players need to be given chance in the home series now both against Aus and Pak.
I think it is time that we trust our younger players. Give chance to Y Mahesh, Pravin Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and call back likes of Raina. Where is Manoj Tiwary gone? Why is he not in the team since he has recovered from injury.
I am sure selectors need to be bold and searching their soul. The good thing is that if left out, the old gurards can make more money by joining ICL. I think fear of BCCI about these big names joining ICL may be tempting them to keep them going. It helps every one except the national pride, young talent and the fans.

Indian people have lot of expectation from Sehwag due to his previous record and he is not able to fulfil those expectations.
Indian cricket players have a tendency to hang around due to their previous record. They should be selected on their current form.

No doubt Sehwag, was given a title as MULTAN KA SULTAN...!:)
Though he has contributed a lot of times for the country, but when he was vice-captain of INDIAN team, he took most of the things for granted...and those things are now bearing fruits for him now...lolzzzz.:D:p..Look that he came out for the T20 WC, in a much fit body.
So its good that he's out of the team for some time...after all he needs some time with Arti...;):DLolz
Dont worry, He will be back in the team from the 4th ODI against Australia.
It is always good to say that...He is having a tough luck at the moment...ha ha ha...Kitna aasana hai...just recorded dialogue...!:rolleyes:

Dear Members,
The team for the next two matches has been announced and there is no room for Sehwag. That is an irony and very frustrating. Inspite of a bashing from Australia in first three matches, selectors are having a blind eye.
The current form of the players and the need to build future team is far from their vision. May God give them some wisdom.
Dilip Vengasarkar seems to have some thing special disliking for Sehwag I guess!

Sehwag say Jatlanders he satisfy nahi hai Vengserker to keu satisfy hoga. Pahley suna kartey they kee koi apney balak ney kharab nahi bataya karta tha per hum tey aapney balka key alava kesi ney kharab hee nahi batatey saari kharabee hamarey mein hee hai.
Jab Ganguli ko bahar nikala tha to pura Bengal uskee support mein khada tha humarey log to JL per bhee support karney ko tayar nahi hain inspite of it he is a good betsman as well as a useful bowler.
Regards

He is definetly a victim of inside politics as well as he does not want to learn the trick of the trade only because he is a Jat and mostly jat's are fail when tricky(bed practice in) games are on.

do u remember Sanjay Manjrekar and Vinod Kambli????
how and when they disappear from the team no body knows???
and think about sachin tendulkar why he has been playing for last so many years???
I think it all depends on your mental level, attitude and body language..
I saw playing Veeru in T20, but he never look playing like as before. His face expressions , body language.
so if he wants to return in Indain Team soon, he has to be first menatlly strong...

Some comments from me ! :)
1. I am really frustrated when i see this " JAT " / " caste " theory being applied everywhere.
2. Everything that happenes cannot be politics.
3. We see GAnguly and Pathan performing at their best after they were made to sit out.
4.No one can deny the poor performance of sehwag and also he was given a good run by selectors.
5. Before going to 20-20 WC he said he will not bowl to concentrate on his batting. I personalyl believe he is a very good bowler and must regularly bowl , he has bowled well against SL , SA and win matches for us.
If thats the atttitude he carries with him , then he deserves to be kept out !
Gilchrist must be a big fool to keep for 50 overs and then open , same way Kallis to bowl 10 overs and then come at number 3 , Freddie and symonds and else.
I guess they dont get concentrated at all.
I am not against sehwag , for sure he has a great hand eye coordination , and is a asset but please dont politicise this issue , if he performs , carries the right attitude , he will be back.

May be he is victim of politics but no becoz of being A "JAT". There may be some some other reasons. so i think there shud be no reason to be frustated.
But we are discussing here about him becoz he is JAT so what is the problem if we are discussing about a person who belongs to our community?
As far as his performance is concerned, tell me the name of the player who hits a ton in every match. cricket is not a single player game.
like u gave example of adam gilcrist, does he do or Mathed Hayden hits? they also fail but they are never cirticized so much as we do for our indian players.
It is true that one who will not perform well has to sit out. but u can not say he is not a good player or is not talented.
Now it all depand on veeru how he bounce back???
and i have beleive in him he will do it but it would not be so easy for him.
so please dont criticize him for what has happened. just wish him a luck he can prove himself.
Best of luck Veeru :)

Dear Members,
10 matches 80 runs, by our own Mr. dependable? Should he be dropped? or not?
I think every one gets a lean period and so was the case of Sehwag. After that he might not have lookes as assured as we was in his hey days, but he still did justice to his selection in 20/20 games.
Further is the question of Gautam Gambhir. Performance and not the age says Tendulkar and Ganguly, but not Dravid? If that be so, why did we drop Gambhir after just one failure to accomodate our famous but aging lineup.
I once again reiteriate that if we are to plan for 2011 and want to put up a decent performance, it is time to look beyond Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid. May be keeping only one or two of them in team at any one time to groom the younger player. Every one talks about it, but how and when? Sooner we look to the younger players better it would be for the game. Some promissing players on under 19 have already been lost in wilderness.
Then there is a case of Mr. Sreesanth. His behaviour and performance both suggest that he needs to be given a lesson. He is a talented player, and unless checked for his attitude, he would also be lost to arrogance. Is BCCI listening?

Performance is not always a criterion in Indian Cricket .More important is current postion of Your God Father .
