people and friends who knew us, even close family members and those who have read my book have said "You loved your wife very much" Though I appreciate their sentiments and am thankful to the kind remark ; some how I do not understand the Adjective "Very"
Can one respond to the oft repeated query "How much you love me, by " I think 6 on a scale of 10 ." Even a reply of nine on a scale of ten will quickly end the relationship.
To me one can't grade love either one love or dosen't.
Every other relationship is " Friendship, Affection, Attachment, Affair Infatuation, possibly and Arrangement and in worst case Lust (Love and Lust are,to my mind, mutually exclusive)
Love is Love Period.
Otherwise how can one continue loving some one who has been battered by time, age and illness and whose absence is a void which cannot be filled.
Age can whither but charm remains and it's charm that supports love. bls
