My would be borther-in-law Abhishek Dhankar and his friend Rakesh Malik died in a road accident on Nov 11th, 2007.

Both were the only sons of thier parents and Rakesh's marrige date was 30th November, 2007 and I am getting married on 25th November.

They were coming from Delhi in a moring around 7 AM and hit by haryana roadways bus. Bus was trying to overtake some other vehicle and went on wrong side and hit the car. Accident happend on Delhi-Rohtak highway.

Both famlies and parents are in state of deep shock and anguish.

Some most frustrating things came out of this whole incident :

Drive was arrested and he confessed in police station that it was his mistake and he still got a bail.

There is no action from the jajjar depot (Bus belongs to Jajjar depot)

Driver of the bus is from Sangi village and working from last 2.5 months and he openly said that nobody can touch him as he is from Sangi.

I am questioning the whole system and the safety of every citizen of this state.

There is no condolence or any assurance from any govt department(adminstration, police and transport) to the family of victims.

Salman khan just killed on deer and he got Rigrious Imprisonment of 5 years.
However, Killer of these innocnet boys is roaming free and will be back in business very soon.

As Mr. Deepender Hooda is a member of this Jatland, I am asking his timely intervntion to control this blood bath on roads.

Yudhvir Mor

Thats really unfortunate bro..may their soul get peace..and hope these bastard drivers who have no regard to other's lives get their due asap...sometimes I feel, our India doesn't need terrorists to kill people, there are enough of our own to kill us..I really wish all of us maintain following safeguards while driving :

- Never ever drink n drive (most of the youngsters feel its cool..)
- Never talk on cellphone while driving. A moment of distraction can be fatal
- Keep safe distance between your vehicle n others..
- Don't rush for anything, don't drive hard n fast..practically you can't save more than 5-10 min. even if you are late..but those 5-10 min. can be fatal to you & others and destroy a lot of peoples lives.
- And be wary of trucks, buses, tempos especially in india - these guys will never understand the value of life..

Well, before you bastardize too many desi drivers, do note that the
first 4 of these safeguards apply just as much as developed countries.

And with respect to the last one, and philosophically speaking, perhaps it is
these drivers who actually understand the true value of life.

Well what exactly are you expecting?

The driver confessed. He didn't try to run. He went to the police station and
didn't even lie. Why should he be denied bail? Bail is denied when
one is likely a flight risk.

What are you expecting from the Jajjar depot? It is an accident. A case
has been filed. He'll go to court. In the worst case it is an accident.
Jajjar depot has nothing to do with it...except if the driver
has repeatedly found to have issues they could I suppose suspend him for it.

His comments about Sangi are actually immaterial at this point.

Regarding condolence...what exactly do you expect? Probably hundreds of
people die in road accidents every day. Not sure on what
basis you'd be expecting to hear government machinery to be sending
flowers and condolence messages. Its an accident. It hurts those involved.
That's about it.

Salman Khan shot and killed a protected animal. He didn't have an
accident with it. He did something planned and illegal.
The comparison is inappropriate here.

The broad issue of safety on Indian roads is of course a real issue.
And you folks are welcome to debate and discuss to your heart's content
I suppose. Of course, one thing to ask yourselves, is if you or your
family members have a driver's license, have you ever really got
properly tested for it? Written test. Driving test. Or whatever the
Indian requirements are. Or did you just sort of get it...wink...wink...

Really unfortunate incident! My condolences to the family of deceased.

Actually this can happen to anyone on Indian roads. Try as many precautions you can...in the end you can be a victim of other's mistake. Sahib Singh Verma was one of the example I remember. There is no control on the roads...no alcohol checks. no authenticity of licenses...no speed limits. These should be enforced by each state govt. in an "uncorrupted" manner to save the lives of the innocents.

Rathee sir.. I dont expect much here. I appreciate your such a balance conclusion of the whole scenario.

My only point is that so much buses are involved in road accidents. There must be some checkpoint to make sure drivers are properly trained.

Just for a moment, put yourself in shoes of parents and think about the situation.

It is a case of rash driving and Driver was racing with some other vehicle. Hit the car on wrong side and I am wondering you gave him clean chit.

Rest is about condolence from different department, We dont expect any condolence but as a citizen of this state we expect action of police and speedy justice.

Now, Driver was not a kid. He must be aware of the consequences of rash driving. So, he is more dangerous to our society than Salman Khan.

Baki baat rahi Sangi ke, It hurts when somebody slit your throat and then say sorry and he is so confident that nothing can happen to him as he is from Sanghi

My whole point to mention here is not to get sympathy. Enough people are coming to thier house for this.

I mentioned because i am well connected with people here and this is a problem for every person who is living in this state and travelling on these roads or commuting through these buses.

I forgot that some readers are living in Silicon valley and dont need to worry about Roadways buses.

Dear Mr. Mor,

We are deeply shocked to hear the sad and untimely demise of your would be relatives in the road accident. We pray to God Almighty for the peace of departed souls and strength to the bereved families to bear this irrepairable loss.

I really don't know if the atmosphere would be appropriate at this time to go with the marriage on 25th November.

Regarding legal issues, Mr. Rathi probably has explained it pretty clearly. Actually as per my knowledge maximum punishment for the driver would be a 6 month jail for an accident of this nature.

At this point I would say you would have added responsibility to comfort these families. We wish you our very best to come out of this difficult situation. No amount of condolences can replace the loss of life. Please help your relatives at this crucial juncture.

Condolences to the families who have lost their beloved ones. Its a huge loss for these families and I believe that severe punishment should given to the driver for careless driving and irresponsible behaviour.

No body is safe on road in India.
no one care. No rule on the road
Bhagwan bharose gadi chalti hae.
Barat ki barat roj khatam ho jati han
Driver chahe- Sanghi ka ho-
Chautala ka ho ya Golagarh ka ho
Sabh ko apni jaan aur kursi ka fikar hae.

RegardsI think Goverment should pass a act/law for road safety in which Max speed and other direction should be indicated. Many drivers have drunken regularly,Roads are full of dogs, cow like animals. How a broken road initiated the accidents, everybody know.
