I very intentionally am posting this topic in this section as i think this is a very recent past 400 years phenomenon and is very much current affairs.

I have been thinking about this for the longest time now.Ever since you are a kid ,you hear stories and tales of what makes a jat so different than any other community in India. What makes a jat a jat.

Brahmins ,rajputs and every other community has Ostracized the jat.Your ancestors have been excommunicated, called the lowest of low in the social strata.Economically and socially the brahmin and the baniya nexus has always tried to stunt your growth over the centuries.

Progressive religious thinking like the arya samaj comes to your rescue yet you ignore it and try fitting in this brahmins india.

you try soo hard in your inferiority complex ridden daily life to fit in this social fabric so called caste system made by the clever brahmin. You are 'proud kshatriya' or as the brahmins or the rajput would call you a lower caste compared to them.

Pityyyyyy

I personally am a nain jat ,plain and simple proud of my history of my ancestors of my culture of my gaon ki boli,of what my values my father has instilled in me and his father in him,i dont compete with the rajput or the brahmin or the khatri...they are who they are and best of luck with that ,but i am of a different breeed or as you would say 'alag nasal' and this isnt some western style philosophy that i am trying to follow it is just plain historical facts of how we have always been different than them in origin ,culture and human makeup.

Its a pity we have come to this present day from where we were....thank god our ancestors arent here to see this or they would have stayed out of this fertile tempting green pasture we call hindustan.

agreed,
we are different , but at the same time we shouldn't forget the deeds of our valient forefathers.
i dont believe in caste system, but jats are a RACE ,not a caste.

castes can be changed,(as it was in the old days) , but you are a jat only if born as one.

sherni sher jaamti hai bhai or geddari geedar.

and its a good thing that you dont care what ppl say bout as, we are a very proud and valient ppl, history witness this fact

Aman you are showing the effects of the same inferiority complex Vir talked abt. When the complex is not limited to individual, but ingulfs the whole community it is communicated as severe superioty complex you are showing by you classic quote " sherni sher jaamti hai bhai or geddari geedar".

yes we have to be proud of who we are , but to do that first we have find ourselves who we are.

bhai Dagar,
i think we know who we are and where we come from.
and i dont find anything wrong with the classic quote i gave,
if you want to find who you are then i guess jatland isnt the appropriate place to do so, cuz being a member you have accepted "who you are" theory given by our elders.

Brother ! I appriciate you agree ! Thats like a true Jat !

When people are jealous of you, they try to find a way to take away a bit of confidence from you every single day...when you worry about it..they succeed !

We dont give a damn to any loosers ! We have no confusion about our identity!

exactly!!!
you think like me bro.

our ancestors were proud and fierce like lions and dedicated to their work.
Asking questions like "who am i?", and relinquishing the pride of our forefathers is a grave disrespect to our ancestors and a treachery to our coming generations.

how can a lion deny that he is a lion?
im not saying that im so good cuz of who im,im just saying that we owe it to our ancestors who spilled their blood to secure the most fertile lands on the face of this earth and fought to death staring the enemy in the eye, all for we can live as a proud and independent race.
plus we aren't even part of the caste system, brahmans are trying to call us degraded kshatriyas,, but i dont give a damn about them,, all jats are equals amongst themselves. we are all free and equal regardless of financial and education factors, exception being age(we respect our elders) ,,which makes us the most egalitarian society present anywhere on the face of earth

some ppl here amuse me with their thoughts :D
