Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Sonika Kaliraman & Geetika Jakhar are the best Wrestlers in the country in 72Kg & 63 kg respectively. Both are capable of getting Medals for the country in the Olympics - 2008. Sonika is like "Preeti Sabarwal" of the Film "Chak De" and Geetika is like "Komal Chautala" of the same Film.

Both Sonika & Geetika are being Discrminated against, by the Wrestling Federation India, President Mr. G.S. Mander.

Mr. Mander has a grudge against both of them (for reasons best known to himself) and purposely prevents Sonika & Geetika from taking part in National Championships or Selection trials for International Tournaments. They both have not been included, due to Mr. Mander's grudge (), in the Training Camp at Patiala to be held in Jan 2008. This also serves as the SELECTION TRIALS for the Asia Cup 2008. If they are not allowed to take part in the training camp, THEY WILL MISS THE ASIA CUP.

Sonika who came within striking distance of a Bronze in Asian Games 2006, has not played any international tournament in the entire year of 2007.

Similarly Geetika who did the entire Nation and us Haryanvi Jats proud by bagging the Silver in the Asian Games 2006, was NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2007.

Both these Girls are sad and understandably, DEMORALISED. The Asia Cup 2008 in March 2008 is the BEST CHANCE for Sonika & Geetika to Qualify for the olympics.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Through this forum I appeal to all of you to Help both Sonika and Geetika, without delay. Sonika also needs funds to apply for foreign training. I appeal to all of you to donate generously for helping Sonika go abroad for training purposes and also for upgrading her Gym and training centre at ther akhada.

Whatever happens please do not let our women wrestlers lose. Please help all our Women wrestlers in every way you can. Sonika (72kg), Geetika (63kg), Neha Rathi (48kg) & Alka Tomar (55kg) are all Haryanvi Jat women.

For any specific details please Email me at: devika.jakhar@gmail.com I'll help in any way I can. Please act soon.

Your Sister,

Devika

Dear Devika,

Being a National player I'm quite well versed with the politics which go on in selection camps & I can fully understand how dejected any athelete would be for missing out on action.

However, it is my suggestion that you find out the reasons best known to these atheletes & then if they are willing to go all the way, use the "Over Keen" TV media to your advantage. The credentials of the two atheletes are good enough to get them a place in the camp at least. Also, if need be you could try to trace & contact Satpal Pahalwan. Last I was aware he was Director of Sports at the Chattrasal Std in New Delhi, but this was way back in 1996. I'm hoping he is still a part of some Sports Administration for our country. He is one genuine guy who should help.

Once, they do well in the camp & if are selected, sponsorships by known brands shall not be a problem, though you'll have to chase/find them yourself.

Hope this helps!

Best of Luck!
