We all respect you and acknowledge your contribution in spreading yoga among masses. However, your claims of curing diseases like Cancer and Aids through yoga sound out of all proportions. You make world laugh at us by making such claims (http://www.7days.ae/en/2008/01/25/dubai-i-can-cure-cancer.html). If you have really cured patients from these diseases, I would suggest that you join a team of doctors to conduct a proper clinical trial to prove your claims. If you can prove your claims through such clinical trials, you will bring not only honors to India, you will claim noble prize as well.

As per my judgment, an incomparable human being is not one who does something extraordinary, but the one who does something which benefits the masses in an extraordinary manner and so how I believe Baba Ramdev is !

We all need not introduce him here and are talking about him and even the Indian Medical Association president Ashok Adhav needed to give a statement on him itself speaks about his standing as a social figure and someone who can be talked about. I am not a blind follower of anyone, but undoubtedly the credit for bringing a newer perspective as regards to the term Yoga goes to him. Many people traveling in trains and buses can easily be witnessed doing some kind of yoga acts often told by baba. Many of us have become aware of terms like “Kapaalbhaati Pranayaam” and the likes, which had already existed, but just as a concept and Ramdev ji turned them live. And this awareness has entered even the village boundaries.

And obviously the wrath of allopathic practitioners on him is due to inclination of people towards Yoga and loss of their trade! Allopathic medicines mostly provide an immediate relief but don’t fight with the root cause. And Yoga is something which follows the principle “prevention is better than cure” and aims at making the immunity system stronger enough and goes much beyond just that. It also teaches how to make lives easier by being good masters to our senses and that’s a very logical and rational approach. I have seen many people quite witty and proficient but they cant render results matching their skills just because they close the eyes to this very crucial aspect that for doing anything stupendous one has to have a good control over his five senses, and it just is miraculous ! And that’s what Yoga is all about and its free of cost too !

Now, coming to this cancer, I have heard Baba Ramdev speaking over the issue and his stand was that he is already upto setting up some laboratories so as to treat people under proper supervision and cancer is not a disease that can be cured within few days. Moreover, Yoga cant cure a patient in extreme stage, one has to be in somewhat sound health condition so as to be able to perform it ! So, a cancer patient cant be asked to do just any kind of yoga! It absolutely depends on his specific condition as to what course of action must be prescribed for him ! And how many Yoga tutors are there who are experts for these types of cases? Just a handful ! It will need time and infrastructure to train people who can diagnose a person individually and prescribe him treatment and exercises as per his specific need. Yoga can help such patients but not in all cases and blaming anyone for not being successful in all cases is absurd instead of praising him for what he has successfully done. And why to just stick to this cancer thing, why cant we praise him for showing us a way to live a healthy life. After all, health is wealth, just lie in bed for a day owing to any illness and we get to realize the importance of being healthy.

being a Yoga enthu let me hv my say here -

Thou I'm not a big follower of Baba Ram Dev but I due appreciate his termendous Yoga revolution which he took by storm here in India & abroad.

Now u'll find every second person in parks practicing Yoga & Pranayam everyday....ppl kind of become Health conscious certainly.

I also admire the way he opened up against Fast Food & Cold Drinks.

But I doubt if Yoga can cure Cancer thou it for sure helps in speedy recovery & decreases side effects of Chemothereapy & Radiothereapy and Yeah! It prevents from sucha fatal disease.

Well, I wonder why ppl r so much worried about his squint eyes, I dont have any idea if u ppl know or not , that he got paralysis in his right body in early childhood but he recovered just cuz of YOGA!!

Yoga is miraculous, its only excercise technique in existence which conditions you inner organs as well, if you wanna stay fit physically, mentally & spritually...you must practice Yoga!! :)


Baba Ramdev is a true Karma Yogi & I salute him!!

I have few Questions to RK Sir,

Which treatment give 100% gurantee of cure of any illness? Please guide me if your treatment system gives gurantee even for fever cure. Those who are crying about the claims of baba Ramdev Ji are never satisfied with their own way of working. Why they get signed a declartion from the patient before making any operation about the risk of life of that patient, if they are so much confident about their method of treatment.

He suffered paralysis,he cured himself with Yog...Now he is telling the same thing to others...

Baba Ramdev doesn't following guru-chela parampara, he is teaching yoga and pranayam and his interest is just to aware each and every indian that yoga and pranayam change can our life.

He is against fast food, coca cola etc. and in my opinion who is against Baba Ramdev is an agent of western countries.

I really do not care what he claim or not.but he surely has bought yoga revolution in india.I never knew what kapal bhatti or lom vilom is but now even my son knows .I have seen so many people benefited by his yoga sessions.he is atleast better than politicians who only claim never do anything.I wish if someday yoga and ayurveda can cure these deadly diseases.I have recently seen an interview of vaidnath owner and even he said they are working on a drug for AIDS .u never know, lets hope for the best.

yes,at least he is creating some hope.what these allopathic doctors do they give medicine to treat i would rather say mask one disease and give u some more disease as side effect.we should be writing letters to the drug companies who are playing with our bodies by treating them as their guinea pigs.for my back ache i have been to atleast 4 doctors who further exposed me to so much radiation by having me to have xrays and MRIS.diagnosis one said u have osteoarthrits other said u have fibro myalgia and one said u have depression.and they all give me 3 different medications .but eventually what cured me was yoga.we should be thankful to him by making us aware of this old ancient practice.

This is called blind faith. When one does not like his or her diety to be questioned, one is likely heading into a black hole. No one has interior motive here. Not all Babas are saints and not all doctors are saints. I can quote lots of babas who have accumlated billions and are running business empires. Now coming to the real point; I have built a cancer hospital which I am willing to hand over for free to Baba Ram Dev or anyone who can cure Cancer with YOGA.......

Yoga certainly can be used as alternative therapy with routine therapy, and it really helps in recovery but misleading infos like Yoga can 100% treat cancer n like this, bring bad name to his work.

Dear All,

No amount of logic can penetrate the walls of faith.

My point is rather simple: Whoever or whatever can make lazy and fat people get up early in the morning and engage in physical fitness for an hour or so needs to be worshipped, literally. Whether it is some ‘Baba’ or a doctor! We are the most unfit bunch of over a billion people in the world. If someone has doubt, wait till the Beijing Olympics are over!!!

Now the debate of whether yoga can cure cancer. No one knows. I have read books on ‘Metaphysical Healing’ where people claim to have cured themselves of cancer just by the power of their own resolve. Don’t know whether true or not but how can one refute or accept what someone else says or claims.

Add one line from my side to the letter to Baba Ramdev. He should also invent or discover some Yaga Asana so that a human being can become honest, hardworking, humble and tolerant.

We should not blame other person or system as both of you (Baba Ramdev ji and Sir Rejendar ji ) are serving mankind in their own way. Most of us are getting help from both systems. Each system may have its own merits and demerits. But definitely allopathic has its more demerits than Yoga. Yoga may not cure cancer and nor either allopathic but Yoga cures lot more problems/diseases including mental/psychic/physical. Please do not use this forum to challenge the other system.

I agree. cancer is not curable even by allopathy. Despite of that there are so many cancer institutes all over the India. If Baba claims to cure cancer like many of these so called cancer institutes, then what is the problem. Anyway most of the population in india is still poor and can not afford high cost allopathic treatment specially for diseases like cancer. Atleast baba has given them a hope and a reason to live whatever time left with that hope. Anyone who can afford alklopathic treatment will surely go for that (may be along with yoga). Moreover, Baba always says that for emergency situations, allopathy is a better option. Allopathy cures and Yoga prevents. That is what he teaches in between the lines.

Now a days even allopathic doctors do yoga. they have acepted that Yoga is more beneficial for diseases like diabetes, and BP. I am surprised that there is no permanent cure for BP in Allopathy so far?
