Recently came to know of a news some 20 People of Haryana (mostly JATs) were boarded on a flight from Mumbai to Delhi. They were of age group 40-50-55 & were returning after attending a party in Mumbai. Few of them were Drunk. They allegedly molested few female flying crew & misbehaved with them. I read it in newspaper & shoked to see such very senior JAT people behaving that way although drunk but even then such pathetic behaviour. JATs are already facing so many social charges against them.
They were then detained at Delhi Airport.
-What do you have to say on it..?..why not we try to be social..!!!
on the other hand on 26JAN few JATs have got Honoured by so many prestigious awards like Kirti Chakra. Padam Bhushan & Shorya Chakra etc...as far I know

Presumably, all of them may be neo-riches after sale of their lands. What to do with all that surplus money - so, travel by air, eat-drink-and be merry ! Alright, waste your money - but why to misbehave with stewardesses and other air crew? Such guys bring a bad name to the whole community.

Misconduct is always bad be it a jat group or any other community. This is one of very negative point. It Needs to be eliminated.
This time we have not brought on Jatland the Jats who received honours on republic day. Can they be enlisted by somebody ?

Dear All,
Thoughts expressed by members are true and it is a matter of shame that some people from our own community behave in a manner that is so very against for what our forefathers stood for. Having lived away from the real Jatland for nearly three and a half decades, one returned with a thought that because of education we would have overcome some of our weaknesses but unfortunately we have started behaving even more crudely. After having seen rural & urban part of the Jatland since Jun 2006, I am convinced that we are one of the most detested people when it comes to behavior in public places. Travel in any bus, especially one that carries school children. Seeing the behaviour of boys, with girl students in particular, one feels like taking out a pistol and letting go. Earlier people had the courage to tick off such students but now people look the other way cowardly. Travel in any train that carries the daily passengers to and from Delhi and our worst behavior is on display, day after day.
Some of the mannerisms that stand out are: talking extremely loudly, coughing or clearing their throats in a manner that is so repulsive to others, no dress sense whatsoever, scratching all over in full public view and poor personal hygiene. I mean some of them feel extremely proud to be doing so and have no sense of shame. And if someone gathers the courage to tick them off, they would react violently.
My conclusion is that it is very difficult to do anything about it. In a democracy one can as it is do nothing. Even though we have some of the finest qualities in our DNA but..... I wish God had taught us how to speak, we would have been world beaters. With lands being sold and availability of easy cash, the end is near.
Warm regards,
JS Malik

Hummm...Question is nt about Richness, but about Easy money which Jats are getting by selling their lands to builders!! And I firmly believe Easy money is always dangerous & self-destructing...
I second Jaggu uncle's thought here - 'With lands being sold and availability of easy cash, the end is near.'

But this doesn't mean at all that we start disdainig our elders...
...we are so proud of our elders, seniors & very seniors who have proved their calibre, hegemony, intelligence, courage, martyrdom, nationhood & panache time to time.
10/12 out of 1000's may come out to be such culprits (intentionally or unintentionally) but not all.
Once someone is drunk he forget to distinguish between right & wrong.
Motto was to pass the message that ......those who find themselve educated enough so as to make their elders aware "How to behave in society while interacting with outer world..."
Like in Social Functions, Travelling by Air or may be while Visiting/On journey Overseas.
World is changing very rapidly...so make them compatible to cop up with the cruising mainstream so as to move along parallely.
"Never encourage shameful acts just to show your power & wealth..."
Be gentle by nature...& try to direct elder's charismatic personility (which we do have) to influence rest of the world that this name "JAT" is not just three alphabets...& it has some meaning.
Thanx..!!
e.g. I always think of some perfect suiting shirting for my father...my father is a Gentleman...however not much educated...(ASI in Delhi Police)...honest (sounds funny but TRUE)...but...very smart...& has a good personality...I always try to make him aware about current trends in the society...
I know it sounds very nice to make our elders smarter because we know they are & they can
So please start from today itself......
...education doesn't mean of only getting a well paid job...but it meant to carry out positive changes in the society...

Hi All,
I guess we are assuming too much. Also I see some people are stereotype ( I do not want to say who)
here is my question:
How you know that they were JATs. ( Jat population in harayna is 27% therefore majority of the people are non JATs) therefore probablity that these people are JAT is only 27% ( thats less than 50%)...you can do maths.
sure it was not good.
Cheers

Thamm tai yaar be faltu ka rola macha rhe so !
Thodi umar jada hone se kya sari society ki izzat ka theka apna ho jata hai!
Hamare log aaj tak gaon me fase rahe,,ab unhe duniya dekhne ka moka mila hai...dekhne do..maje lene do!
...our people are really excited and energetic to come out of their boundaries and see this new world!
let them enjoy their money ,,their freedom because this is their first time.
Let our people fly like a free bird in the sky !
Dont hate them...they will learn from mistakes..atleast they are getting a chance to commit a mistake after spending thousands of years in the farms.
We have been feeding this whole society for years and years !
They built up cities on our land and became rich..we fed them and they paid us s.hit money...now its our time we will fly!
Punjabi bhudde mach ja tai koi dikkat nahi...mhare bhudde maach ja tai bejatti...We are fine!

they were a little drunk.
i dont think airlines shud have offered them daaru onboard :D
or shud hav let em onboard drunk.
daaru makes you lose control of yourself, so i wont blame our elders for this behaviour but id be highly critical of their drinking habits:mad:. daaru is bad anyways

Friends,
It's a very common behaviour of people around in Haryana. They always try to indulge in one or the other issue, no matter if it is affecting them or not. Always ready to curse each other, speaks lingo that is full of abuses. Seems that education is not changin them.

just couldn't stop laughing at the foolishness of this thought...
providing alcohol doesn't mean that they are equipping them to misbehave...all the females have necessary equipment to become prostitute, but do they?

The comparison of alcohol and prostitution drawn here is, in my words, absolutely absurd. Alcohol affects and the effect of that 'affect' is not a pretence. Period.
Thanks,
Sumit

Let me put it in other words....If somebody is having an ARMS LICENSE it doesn't authorise that person to kill anyone for FUN n FROLIC;) so if liquor is served it doesn't mean you have to BEHAVE IDIOTICALLY.As you must have heard in Shraabi film's song NASHA SHRAAB MEIN HOTA TO NAACHTI BOTTLE:p issi tarah gandgi deemag mein hoti hai shraab mein nahi:) people want to save their skin just by blaming it on to liquor after venting their frustration out:(just couldn't stop laughing at the foolishness of this thought...

I would like to clarify few things here
-There is no Airline operator in this world who offers seductive drugs like alcohol on board because of some norms by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation)
-Even if someone has taken any seductive drug (may be some mental patient or so) in last 12 hours of start of journey he has to be accompanied with one attendent who has not taken any such drug to keep the person under seduction & control.
So being drunk & borad the flight is an offence in itself.
However alcohol has become a status symbol now a days. So those who have to deal with high profile parties or some fuctions, alcoholic drinks became a part of lifestyle...but remember top priority is to maintain that status for what that drink being offered to attendents.
For non drinkers & non smokers it has become difficult to deal with organisational gatherings & functions...but it's all up to you how far you compromise...some do some don't........at least at last I can say I never compromise to be fond of alcoholic drugs & I know most of us know well to deal with it.

This is the gross exaggeration of facts as indicated in the news link given by Bhai Rahul himself. Only one person and one crew was involved. The title of the thread is also misleading. You must check the facts before posting on a forum like this.
Secondly, I don't believe that the quantity of liquor supplied on board any flight can make a person insane to that level, that too on a domestic carrier.
Bhai Chhillar your generalization of the behavior of the people of haryana was in poor taste. You shouldn,t run your imagination eratically like your Enfield.
Most probably, the person involved was a local politician and not a farmer.
Cheers!

I think we should delete this thread now if possible.
Even I am feeling bad of seeing the title of the thread.
or change the title whatever you feel right.
