Dear friends,

maybe people are already aware that there are lots of haryana/delhi wale jats in chhatisgarh esp durg/bhilai/raipur area......recently when i was in india i had a chance to go there and visit some farms of our jat bhais.
people who had bought land there 7-8 years ago are doing really well... e.g a kissan having 100 acre farm is able to earn a profit of approx 30 to 35 lakhs per year....... plus price has escalated ++++ and beautiful farmhouses there.
the land at that time was 15 to 20 thousand rupees per acre but now is 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees per acre.
I am aware that people from haryana/delhi are buying into states like rajasthan at much higher costs with no good water supplies.

if you know of friends who are thinking of buying land for agriculture purpose then that is certainly an area to look at..........STILL A GOOD BARGAIN!

Dear Mr Dabas,

I am not sure about driving by car but its an overnight train journey from delhi......5pm from delhi and next morning u are in raipur.

personally i think there are still good oppurtunitiesfor people into farming..........farmers are harvesting tomato crops of approx 2lakh rupees per acre/banana plantations are also there/vegetavble farming has begun as well.

I wants to share my experience with people on jatland as many of our friends and relatives are selling land in haryana/delhi and buying agricultural land elswhere now or in near future.

I think that there are good options there....black soil, plain land, no pathar(stone),peaceful area, plenty of water, cheap land.
