Remove private messages in CHAUPAL

Hello administrator,

As in jatland a private message facility is already given, so i request you to remove this facility in CHAUPAL chat...iBy using PM in CHAUPAL ,uska ka real meaning khatam ho raha hain..aisa lagta hain sab alag alag neem,bargad ke ped(tree) ke neeche baithker baat ker rahe hain...

I request all members who used to come in chaupal, please vote and write your view about this

Well,

I don't see any harm to PM in chaupal as long as the recieving member don't have any objections.

As you are a new member and don't know the actual procedings here and hence thats neutralize ur point of view here...... as there is lot of difference between a PM in Chaupal, Pager at Jatland and PM at Jatland.

This PM facility has been extremely useful and Narender you don't realize as it hasn't benefited you as yet. We old members know how many affairs have been started;) and how many got married. It's actually more used than the Matrimony section on JL:)

You felt bad as old members won't be chatting to you because they chat in PM n you're left alone. Though it used to irritate me as i always hate to chat in private thinking Why should i refrain just to one person or 2-3 when i can have better discussion with all members in Chaupal? Everyone has their choice, you might also start to like it when you make more friends:)

I agree with u vijay singh and sunita ji..but than it should be not named as chaupal...meaning of chaupal is finished..they can chat on yahoo or gtalk also which provide private chat..and vijay ji its not about new member and old member, its just a idea..i am not here for a politics as i m new i can not give better ideas..

I would say removing this facility won't serve any purpose. People come to chaupal to discuss the issues, but what is the harm in getting more personal with a person who he/she thinks is worth chatting more with. Only thing that should be kept in mind is, it should not disturb the integrity of the other person.

Narendra, I agree that there are several other tools like yahoo, google, aol where they can chat, but this personal space has to be created initially and I believe it is the best feature to start with. So, I am totally against removing PMessaging.

I Second with ur views Sunita Di ...:) Private messaging is extremely useful thing as per my views. Its totally ones choice whether to use it or not. If someone feels it irritating or interesting then thats exclusively their point of view. So i think Narendar you will get used to it once you make more friends.

First of all that is not Chaupal ... that is one of the chat room. Chaupal is the very famous chat room. If u want u can create a new char room also and name it whatever u want. Secondly, if PMs and pagers are available are there then why PMs in chat room.... gud ... juss tell me ... if emails are available then why communicators and chat room ? I feel its a gud analogy. PMs and pagers are kinda emails only. Suppose i am discussion something personally, say my salary my affairs about my family and i dont want to reveal this to others then shall i talk this on common chat or through PMs outside or pagers or PMs thru chaupal???

Now juss tell me one thing now, how did it harm u ??? Was ur computer effected coz of PMs or wot ???
If somebody, say i, i don want to talk to someone so can that guy force me to talk, no , never. If others are not talking then u cant make them talk after removing PMs too.

We use yahoo/gtalk also to talk personally but none of them is such a good common platform for all the jats and so popular.
