The true history is buried deep into earth. Whatever we are being taught is not history, but a bundle of lies.
We may have some differences with Rajputs, but in my view it is not wise to spread hatred against them at this juncture.

You are right that in NCERT books we read what you said but that History is written/manipulated by the British only. Moughal and British did all the damage to our rich past ( read History ) by every means they were able to do that.
When British came to India, Ashoka were the greatest known King till time ...... so to neutralize Ashoka British thought of popularize a Muslim King ..... ...... famous divide and rule policy and Akbar was their best bet .... rest is History :)

These protestors are just making an issue to get popularity ( did they ever raised any voice against NCERT books ?? ... NEVER ) ....... the leading head of protestors in Rajasthan have relaesed a statement that they can stop protesting the movie only if the Director of the Movie come personally to Rajasthan and apologize to them ........ does that make any sense or can change the History ?

Let's not ALL become such 'conspiracy theorists' all of a sudden!
History may well be distorted in places and the authenticity of events for the simple reason that in those times it was rare to have kept any written records etc. (and even if they were- not have them be colored by the writer(s) who were usually the bards, poets etc. own viewpoints)
Now having said that; it is important to mention that Akbar's rule on the other hand has been surprisingly well documented (in the famous Akbarnama) but again, and just like I mentioned above- I agree that it may well be tainted and romanticized by the writers!
BUT is that the POINT here????
Because lastly, but not the least- on this whole Jodha controversy.... who cares what her name was, (and $c&ew those silly, stupid-minded, egostic small groups of Rajputs and others) the fact remains that history books, Akbar's and other records like Akbarnama etc. mention him wedding Rajput princess (es); and to my mind frankly that's all that matters!!!....
Political move or not, it was a wise move by a very wise man who knew that a country cannot be ruled by iron fist alone but an alliance with the powerful chiefs is a must and that's what he did... something of a valid lesson for the PRESENT generation and present world affairs to learn from and emulate!
(Not that we all Hindus should suddenly start marrying Muslim girls, or wise-versa) but that in these times there are great lessons to be learned about such peaceful co-existence and harmony, tolerance for the other's religion and embracing of common religious viewpoints; a point admirably demonstrated by Akbar!

I know Ashoka's and Akbar's time period respectively ...... but i will suggest you to read my post again :) ...... and understand the meaning of divide and rule policy ..... for example like why they appreciated the idea of Pakistan even when they already decided to quit India. 'Sun never sets in British Empire' ... then why they tried to divide India
To divide the huge mass in the name of religion ...... at both times ... and so many other times.
They were not afraid of Ashoka or any other but they just want to create difference between the religious ideology and reputation between two major religion of that time. i.e. Hindu and Muslim.
Did appreciating Zinha and idea of Pakistan didn't helped them to stay some more years in India ???

Good points indeed...
History is not the domain of a certain few to just come in and distort according to their whims and needs!
Sure, I mean we as Hindus may take a lot of pride in Hindu kings and their achievements; but that does not negate the successful domination of other greats like the Greeks (Alexander) and Mughals (Babur, Humanyu, Shah-Jahan, Akbar etc.) over these very lands...
This discussion also sorta follows my other pet peev about trying to distort history (in these very much present times, no less) by some idiotic few and trying to prove that maybe Taj-Mahal was not a Mughal Architectural wonder after all...

Exactly!
You know, on a personal view point about this Movie Jodha-Akbar (and not partly because I am such a huge movie buff) I whole heartedly welcome and in fact APPRECIATE such massive epics based on the Indian historical setups!...
THERE ARE JUST NOT ENOUGH SUCH movies, modern presentations and graphical representations of our very colorful history GOING AROUND!
I mean forget this present Indian generation alone (especially the ones that can be seen on TV just out of their diapers making a hue and cry about the movie), even this World needs to be hit on the head with the colors that this great land has had to offer!... Who cares about the Troys, Alexanders, Samurais, Benhurs, Romans and their emperors ('Gladiator' etc. etc), those Forbidden city's Chinese rulers, Ghengiz Khans .... and the Hollywood list goes on; the world needs such brave Indian filmakers that have the guts to maybe present characters like Rana Pratap, Ashoka, Shivaji, Rani of Jhansi, Prithviraj Chahuan etc. etc. (just to name a few; cause this here is probably an even longer list that can go on into the next thread) in all THEIR GLORY, colors, ambiance, architectural wonder AND amazing CHARACTER with the best visual technology the present times have to offer!!!
Bravo to the director (Ashutosh) and may there be others that can step forward and make such strong epic movies and similarily package them dubbed in English language to make the neccessary impact on the global audience still ignorant of such heroes/heroines!

Every person have his/her personal likes and dislikes and film makers are professionals ..... who not only want to bring forward some story but aspire to gain financial benefits too...
Let them make efforts and we can review their works after watching their creation .... a gud creation never get neglected while a bad interpretation never get any appreciation.
Do you remember that Ashoka was a Super Flop ............. WHY ??? Plz dig out the reason ( Hrithik/Aishwarya and SRK/Kareena are supestars if you want to blame on the star cast only )
If you don't like the subject or movie .... just don't watch it and don't comment ....... otherwise making an issue you are already making it controversial and worth to watch it ( means .... what is controversial in it ?? )

I mean, come on people! :o
Taj Mahal ( whatever its name was earlier ) is not an Moughal creation but yes a modified version of some old building.
Why Indian govt. is so reluctant to open the hidden rooms and the documents ?
Carbon Dating proved that Taj Mahal was standing tall even before the Moughal Emperor Shah Jahan took birth.
What about the documents in Indian Treasury where it shows that Shah Jahan bought that 'building' from Jai Singh ( King of Jaipur ) as that building belonged to Man Singh ( grandfather of Jai Singh ... and defence head of Akbar ) ?
Mumtaz died in 1631 and history says that it took 22 years to complete the Taj .... means 1653.
In 1652, Prince Aurangjeb admitted about Taj Mahal that 'so old' building needs a repair ( mentioned in 'Aadaab-e-alamgiri ', 'Yaadgaarnama' and the ' Muraaqqa-I-Akbarabadi' ........ 'Aadaab-e-alamgiri ' was an official press release from the Alamgir Aurangjeb )
Was Taj Mahal became so ancient even before it was completed ???

That's it, right there!!!...
The full Documentary touches on lot's of cool stuff... for example how Tipu Sultan's army had already perfected the 'missile' (sword blades and/or arrows imparted with a longer shooting range thru rocket technology...) before anyone else in the world and had thus made some telling blows on the British armies...
Or how the first invader Mongol/Mughal chieftean Babur at the battle of Panipat in the 1500's even though had a much smaller army, but just by the virtue of superior battle tactics (squeezed the enemy elephant riding troops between two sections, which created panic and ultimate trampling of their own soldiers) and good use of 'entrenchment' war-fare and critical placement of his archers defeated the much larger army of Ibrahim Lodi!...
Also one would see how the ultra lite but deadly Mughal bow (Mughal horse riding archers were supposed to be the best in the world; sending out non-stop arrows while in full gallop!) was created from scratch (with just raw materials) and without any use of sophisticated tools and how that same craftmanship is now but completely lost in the mist of times....
Or the cool Rajput Dagger (you people must have seen it in movies and paintings, tucked into the kamarbund of Kings etc. It is like a mini ladder like thing sticking out over the belt) which is to be used in a thrusting motion and has protection on both sides of the wrist and forearm of the user....etc. etc.
Note: it also shows the full spectrum of how Taj Mahal was built and the architecural technologies used etc. (and debunks the Black Taj-Mahal theory too, by showing how it was a pool built across the river to view the Taj in the moonlight and shimmering over the pool, creating a black mirror image of the Taj from the opposite end)...

Yuup...these are the same things I saw on You-tube. The way the videos were titled there gave the impression that they were from separate
sources. Looks like they were all part of the same documentary.
Some good stuff there.
I am still imagining the Battles of Panipat...the fact that all this was
happening right outside my doorstep only 200 years ago....
Abdalli's move to come around Bhagpat and back North to encircle the Marathas in the 3rd battle of Panipat...Kya scene rahe honge!
One thing that always amazes me is how these armies could get
recruits to go to battle with almost certainty of getting chopped.

It also happened in REVERSE...so many times...may be more than that...
...so these stories don't defame status of JATs
Only thing is they are more in numbers...nothing else...

....wat's this.... is History lost somewhere..... so much gaps.....
Asoka was emperor from 273 BC to 232 BC.
British came after 1600....
Akbar's life span was from 1542-1605.
In view of these facts.... its hard to understand how were british affected/threatened by ashoka....n how popularizing Akbar wud ve helped them.... Whtever abt the queens n et al... but rst of the facts about the works... cant be modified.... n changed.

How “great” was Akbar – he reportedly had hundreds of wives in his harem ! Read the following interesting article:

The true history is buried deep into earth. Whatever we are being taught is not history, but a bundle of lies.
We may have some differences with Rajputs, but in my view it is not wise to spread hatred against them at this juncture.

there is no word like rajput mentioned in baburnama, though babur mentions jats n gujjars. a class was created later by aqbar and his successors to create revenue for a foreighner at the cost of natives of hindustan. faiz n fazl never mentioned the word rajput in their poetry.

Presence of mind or absense of knowledge ?
Anybody knows the who ruled and when ???
NCERT books says that Aurangjeb was such a great secular King and Shivaji was just a fundamentalist.
Are they afraid of Shivaji ...... nowdays ?
Mayawati is calling Chander Shekhar Azad a terrorist .....
Is Azad's ghost haunting her still ?
Why don't any Indian government feel easy to unfold documents regarding Subhash Chandra Bose ............ Are they afraid of him yet ?

raja Man singh erstwhile ruler of jaipur married 36 afghan prioncesses why is n't there a film about that historical fact.
what would you say of jat rulers who take pride in telling the world that their daughters are married into rajput royalty.

It's our genuine personality that we are even talking about Prithviraj and/or about Pratap here ......... we have a glorious past and behave accordingly till date ...... Do i have to describe here how Rajputs Kings from Jaipur, Jodhpur used to lick the foots of mughals and even marrieds their daughters with them.

Now it is clear that he(Sanjay) is some what Rajput. It is also clear that he became member of this forum by concealing his idendity which proves that he is not even Rajput. If he had been a Rajput then I think he would not have written all these **** by using platform of JATLAND. I have doubt that he is real Rajput.
Any how, it is in hands all Jatlanders to find out his idendity and frame a charge of cyber crime against him and hand him over to the police for concealment of facts while acquiring membership of JATLAND and also for writing inferior comments on a community.
