I liked iPod touch as it's the closest you get to the iPhone (without the phone), but it's expensive!
iPod classis has the highest storage space.

I had a similer doubt but i chose Apple IPhone over IPod or Video IPod as it gives me a phone as well without much of a difference.

Considering the price tag that Apple has in mind for the phone when they launch it in Sep this year(26000) it would make sense for you to buy it now from either some seller in your town or ebay as it is considerable very cheap and excellent in quality.

For me its battery stands apart, you cant even compare it to any phone in India.

It lasts good 2-3 days with high talk time/music being played. If i was to compare it to N95, then its battery is 10 times better

ppl hv dragged the topic to i-phone wch is all together a different gadget. so let me clarify 1st nd foremost tht i m talking abt i-pod nd i-pod only !!!

having clarified tht...nd before i carry on, please be apprised tht...
1. ppl still buy cameras despite of the fact tht u can take gud resolution pictures frm a decent phone.
2. ppl still buy music system despite of the fact tht u can always listen to music frm a decent phone.
3. ppl still buy DVD nd home theatre system despite of the fact tht u can hv them all at i-pod...hwever, accessories required.

so, when u talk abt i-pod...all u hv in mind is to listen songs, watch movies with some gud storage capacity and a gud battery life (...guess i'm right), i assume tht its obvious tht u r not goin' to make any phone calls from i-pod (wch ain't possible newayz):rock

i'm using i-pod classic, latset version with 80gb capacity...battery life is too gud, never ran out of it, hwever m not sure as to how long it lasts.

i wud rate this as the best option or else go for 160gb model (depends on yr budget)...but i guess i can store thousands of songs audio as well as video (u dont need more then that) lots of movies and my personal videos...chk specs on apple site abt exact details if u r interested. i hav everything stored in my i-pod tht i need and still have 50gb left...wat else do u need.

guess i've summarised tht, above, there is an accessory tht hooks i-pod to yr TV/home theatre system called audio/video jack...price shud range from 1000 to...? i dont know the upper limit, cos this accessory can have other features like remote, alarm, speakers etc etc:)
