Glad to see this post of yours, Dudi ji. Your efforts are commendable. I also visited Gurukul Jhajjar in early March and some photos of that place snapped by me are now available on "Jhajjar" page of Wiki section. Unfortunately, this institution is not in so good shape now-a-days, mainly because of lack of funds and administrative shortcomings and mismanagement. Museum there is in a pitiable condition and some items seem to have been stolen over time. Printing of books on literature and history is almost standstill. I bought the book Veerbhoomi Haryana (http://www.jatland.com/home/Veerbhoomi_Haryana) by Swami Omanand, devoted some time in digitilising it and have put it on Wiki Section. There is need to print the second edition of this book and popularising it.
We need to make more concerted efforts to promote Jat history. Gifting a few history books to a select group of people will not make much impact. In one thread (on topic "Veerbhoomi Haryana) in this very section, Ravi ji has highlighted the need for digitilisation of more history books and uploading, for the benefit of all. It would be great if you get some books digitilised and uploaded.
Please keep on informing about your future ventures.

ONE DAY IN SEARCH OF JAT HISTORY
One fine day in Febuary 2005.I with my wife Rajwanti and my brother
started from Bhiwani early morning. We visited Shaheed Rajbir Singh
Sheoran petrol pump near Bamla village close to old historical site of
Aurangabad. Passes IIT college. Kalanaur Gurukul and college.
Kalanaur is birth place of Jamadar Abdul Hafij VC Jat Regiment second
world war. We also passed new cricket stadium near Lahli.
We visited Subedar Randhir Singh Vir chakra service station near old
Historical site Khokara Kot in Rohtak.
After going through Historical city Rohtak and Asthal Bohar . We
visited Ch Chhotu Ram memorial & museum at Garhi Sapla village and
took some photograph of the statue and museum. One guard tried to stop
us, no photo no camera. We told him how can you stop a jat to take
photo of a Great leader in home village of Ch Chhoturam and jat
homelald. There was a big drama in Haryanvi.
We met Rampal ji at Jakoda mod and proceed to see Nihal singh Arya our
hero of the story in Desor Kheri village. He is nice person ,told us
story of his exp and how 5 students got their Phd from his help. He
presented me with a copy of his book. Sarvkhap ka Parachin Itihash.
We visited Kargil martyr Lilaram Memorial in Khunghai village.
All of sudden we came face to face with Fauji poet Jat Mehar singh
Memorial at Barona village and paid our tribute.
We visited Bhim Singh Dahiya family at sonipat. we presented our
books, paid our tribute and bought all books written by him.
We visited Harsana, Sisana the village of Col Hoshiar Singh PVC.
We passed through Bhalot , village of Ch Lalchand ex-PM of Bharatpur
state.
We came to Rohtak to visit Capt Dalip Singh family for short time and
made further appointment for another visit.
We droped Rampal ji at Sidhanti Bhawan - Dayanand Math Rohtak and
reached Bhiwani at 10 PM.
more next time

Dear Dayanand Deswal Ji
I fully agree with you. Aapne to mere Dil ki bat kah di.
Whatever efforts you, Laxman BurdakJi,Ravi ji and others doing on net Jatlandwiki and yahoo jathistory group is commandable. But we need more printed history books and Ebooks. Our masses are not connected to internet. We need collective positive efforts and team work. I visited Gurukul Jhajjar few time in the past. I requested to them to publish Swami Omanand ji left over material or give it to me so that we can finish his dream work. nothing done so far. They published some of swami is old letters in saravhitkari that include his visit to UK-USA and World tour. We can collect them and publish in a book as a tribute to swami ji.
Some friends asked me in the past to collect unpublished material from jat historiansand promise to sponser this venture. I visited them and got permission to reprint their books and put on internet as a E-books. We asked some to reprint, translate, put on CD as a E-book.Now so far no fund coming through this is the main problem.
Jat ki karni aur kathni mae farak aagaya hae.
Jhajjar Gurukul aur museum ko fund nahi mil raha
Jabki CM aur MP Local han.
7 generations sy Aryasamaji hone ka dham bharte han
Bat to yahan tak ho rahi han ki Gurukul jhajjar museum
ko KU Darohar museum ko transfer kardo.

Deswal Sir is absolutely right. Jhajjar Gurukul has deteriorated to quite a significant extent ever since Omanandaji passed away. I had been there in January and could feel it. Even my grandfather was very disappointed. There had been a mismanagement of funds in the Accounts and Finance department and the concerned person had resigned. We even visited his place to inquire about the proceedings. He himself was very unhappy with the treatment he got from Gurukul primes. According to him he had been made a scapegoat. I cannot really comment who was right and who was wrong but off-late there have been quite substantial ego-clashes in Jhajjar gurukul.
From my personal experience I was not happy to see the library condition and had a sneaky feeling it was opened after many months. Also five of the seven Chamanprash dabbas I had brought from there turned out to be spoilt when opened back home. This happened to me for the first time in about 6-7 years. Couldn't visit again the museum as someone had lost its keys.
I am too eagerly waiting for the e-Books. My special thanks to Deswal sir for putting Omanandaji's work here on Jatland.
Thanks,
Sumit

Jatsamajs and jats are not united. They are talking different things.
We have long debate on jatland and still talking.
No action- No positive result.
Jats are fighting with each other not the problems.
This is the main problem.

reservation is going to stay for long time. weather we like it or not, for or against. All jats must get it to survive, no other way
Dear friends this was my Q on 22 March 2002 and I am repeating thia again. This is my view now and also on that day.
There are 7 pages of 300 threads on this subject on this site.
this will not be last- Good for time pass.
Jat ko Samjhana bhagwan ky kahbu sy bhi bahar hae.
I was part of the DR Gayanparkash Pilaniya team in Rajsthan resevation movement. I was invited by Dr GhasiRam Verma and his team to Sanghariya to help in this movement. We made a solid plan for a peaceful movement.
Unity on ground level and on public platform.
We used mass media and pressure from all over world. We got resevation by very peaceful- Democartic way.
Why we can not do in Haryana now.
We asked every CM from Haryana. We asked on 13 March 2005 to CM Haryana Hooda Sahib
in International Jat Conference inNew Delhi.
Hooda Sahib ny Kahan koe mujh ko Iska fayda batlade- Samjha dae to Bat karengy.
Hamne kaha Jab Rajsthan-UP- MP- Delhi ky Jatoo ko benefit mil raha tao
Haryana ko Perhej kuon hae. Yah DR Pilanaya sahib Benefit Samjha dengy.
Aur kase milega Yah bhi Samjha dengy- aur AP 5 Yrs CM bhi aram se Bane rahogy/
har Jagah Politics chalti hae-
Jab Hooda sahib opposition thae 1999- Khud resevation support kar han.
Depender Ky liye Aur uske Father ky liye Ak to yahi Kam hae
unka statement yad dela raha hun
Jats in Haryana OBC status, says Hooda

Give Jats in Haryana OBC status, says Hooda
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, Oct 22: Haryana Congress president Bhupinder Singh Hooda today demanded OBC status for Jats, Jat Sikhs, Bishnois, Tyagis and Rors.
In a statement here, Hooda said there should be no discrimination against Jats in Haryana when they had been accorded the OBC status in Rajasthan and Delhi.
He added that the Gurnam Singh Commission had recommended inclusion of Jats, Jat Sikhs, Bishnois and Rors in the list of OBC. The HPCC president asked Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chatuala to clarify his stand on the recommendations of the commission.
"Chautala must inform whether he will accord the OBC status to these communities," he said.
He also congratulated Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Delhi Chief Minister for taking positive steps by conferring OBC status on Jats in their states.

Very true Sir,
When others are availing of the benefits of reservation, we have to be realistic and practical. No doubt due to the dirty political system in India, reservation plank would be used by all the political parties for their petty gains and hence, reservation is bound to stay on in this county for a long long time.
In spite of being rigid, our community needs to be practical and avail of the benefits of reservation which would further help our community to progress. No doubt as you rightly said, we need to have a transparent system of governance, good education system and an accountable government.
As again rightly pointed out by you, its the characteristic trademark of the politicians to easily and conveniently forget their earlier promises as soon as they come to power and I am sure Mr. Hooda is no different. He will remember his promise but that would be just a few months prior to the forthcoming assembly elections.
When UP and Bihar at one point in time a few years back had Yadav CMs and still the Yadavs were accorded OBC status why can't the same be true for Haryana. Why can't the Jat community seek the benefits of reservation.
We need to really ask some tough questions from our politicians who are busy minting money by selling the land of our state to outsiders. It will soon be a question of now or never as time is fast running out for the community.

resp.Dudy uncle, jumewari ka kaam to bhaut sain . itihaas ke elawa hame aage aane wali piddi ke liye kuch karna chahiye, jaise ' jat ko reservation' ke baare me . jatto ka loggo ne batwara kar diya delhi, rajasthan me reservation haryana ,punjab ,j&k ,himachal etc me nahi aur to aur rajasthan me bi batwara baratpur ke jatto ko reservation nahi .sir appka reservation ke baare me kya khyal hain, sir history par books likhna anchi baat hai hamari nayi piddi ko apne purwajo ki gathao ka pata chalta hain, par sir annewali piddi ke baare me bi sochiye , innke liye bi kuch kijiye.humme centre me reservation chhahiye iske liye jabtak aap jaise bade bujarg , educated jat aage nahi aaenge to hum kamyab kaise honge.gaon me jatto ka bura haal hain, politician [hamare hi log]inka shoshan kar rahe hain.naukriyo me quota ho gaya jammin rhai nahi kaha jaainge ye log.so sir plz do something for our poor coomunity.
Saangwan Saab and fellow respected members, I do want to ask few questions and concern here--> (Feel free not to answer them..)
Do we really need the 'Baisakhi' of reservation?
Would it be going up or downhill?
Havnt our ancestors given us the apt genes to develop skills of conquering the situations?
Is it not shameful in making a plea or cry for reservation to 'poor jat community'? Poverty in the sense of...........?
Do warrior race will feed its coming generation with the spoon of reservation?
I would love to be the poorest of poor or will polish the shoes but will never take the reservation.Self esteem is much higher than any materialstic gain in terms of career and other worldly pursuits.Good deeds kisi reservations ke mohtaj nahin hai..History ne yahi sikhaya hai na...:)
Thanks.

Yes..... History....and I am sure we should be proud of it.
Recently I heard something which made me think.....yes by being educated we can progress.
I was talking to a family member and got to know about the wedding of a relative she have recently attended. I was happy to learn that the guy was so educated and is teaching in one of the most reputed institutes of our country. The next sentence I learned was the money spent in terms of coated dowry......around 20 lakh and that to in a middle class family.....wow. All my respect and appreciation for such educated people was shattered in no time.....
Yes, progress means lots of money in terms of dowry....and why not.... you have earned a price tag by studing so hard.
No wonder, educated girls would not prefer being part of a community of double standard (I know there would be lot many to object). And I am not surprised by my reaction when I now look at the list of high degree holders.....it means nothing more than a price tag carrying human beings.
Each one of us can preach as loudly as one can against this topic, but their is hardly anyone who is clean enough to speak on this. So no point.....may be very much like others I have poured some more frustration here....thats it.
But it really hurt to see where we are heading.
Yes, we should be proud of our educated lot.

Gujjars soften stand, ready to talk
Karawadi, Bharatpur, May 29
Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla said he could consider talking to the Rajasthan government provided it made a “proper proposal”. “We are willing to talk through our representatives with the state government, if the government makes a proper proposal,” Bhainsla said without specifying what he meant by “proper proposal”.
“However, we will not settle for anything less than ST status and we will not move from here till we have the recommendation letter from the state government," he said.
Seventy-year-old Bainsla earlier addressed a rally to observe “martyrs” day’ in memory of those killed in the agitation since 2007.
Jaipur: The Vasundhara Raje government is ready to hold fresh talks with Col Bainsla to resolve the crisis, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde said here. “We want to hold talks with the Gujjar leaders by any means”, state BJP in-charge Munde told reporters after coming out of a meeting between party and state government functionaries chaired by the CM
An invitation for talks will be extended to the protesters led by Bainsla in Pilupura, he said. — PTI
Gujjars block roads in Delhi
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, May 29
Normal life in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and adjoining areas was disrupted today as scores of agitating Gujjars blocked roads and threw stones at vehicles and the police during the one-day bandh called by the All-India Gujjar Mahasabha. The Gujjars are demanding ST status for the community.
According to the police, over 120 protesters were detained in various areas of the capital. Protesters clashed with police at Aya Nagar and Mehrauli in South Delhi. Some cases of arson were also reported.
The worst affected areas were the borders of the Capital including Ghazipur, Loni, Badarpur and Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road where thousands of commuters were stranded for hours because of blockades.
Trains including Gujarat Sampark Kranti Express (Nizamuddin-Ahmedabad) and Maharashtra Sampark Kranti Express (Bandra-Hazrat Nizamuddin) were cancelled and many routes were diverted, the Northern Railway said. The agitation also spilled over into some Gujjar-dominated areas in East, South and West Delhi, where small groups of agitators blocked roads an forced shops to close.
The police and paramilitary forces were seen controlling the situation throughout the day. The police said most markets remained opened.
Because of road blockades in some areas, many people were unable to reach their offices in time. Even some government offices reported thin attendance, as many opted to stay away fearing violence.
The Union Home Ministry had put the National Capital Region on high alert two days ago following the call given by agitators and issued advisories to Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments asking them to maintain peace. The protesters were observing the day as 'Martyrs Day' to mark the first anniversary of their agitation, in which people had died. Local policemen and paramilitary personnel were also deployed in adjoining Faridabad, Gurgaon (both in Haryana), Noida and Ghaziabad (both in Uttar Pradesh).
Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi stranded for three hrs
Tripti Nath
Tribune News Service
New Delhi, May 29
Passengers, aboard the Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express, were stranded for three hours today at Dankaur near Ghaziabad as Gujjars held a dharna on the tracks.
Sources said the train resumed its journey following the intervention of the director- general of police, Uttar Pradesh.
They said the passengers and railway property were protected during the protest.
The railways said the Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi was the lone train that encountered the trouble.
Sources said the deployment of seven companies of railway protection special force in the National Capital Region prevented any harm to the train passengers or damage to railway property.
Eighteen trains, including nine local trains, were cancelled due to the protest by the Gujjar Samaj Mahapanchayat.
A Press release issued by the northern railway said the cancelled trains included the premier 2954 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Mumbai Central /August Kranti Express, besides the 9020 Dehradun-Bandra Terminus-Dehradun Express and the 9024 Firozpur-Mumbai Central-Firozpur Janta Express. The local trains cancelled today were the Aligarh-Delhi EMU, Khurja-Meerut passenger train and Ghaziabad-Delhi junction EMU.
Another eight trains were diverted, including the 2952 New Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express, the 2926 Amritsar-Bandra Terminus Paschim Express, the 2904 Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail and the 2312 Delhi-Howrah Kalka Mail.
Meanwhile, the ministry of home affairs that had its security arrangements in Gujjar agitation affected states plans to continue vigil on vulnerable areas.
Special secretary, internal security, M. Kumawat said here today they were monitoring the situation and had provided 21 companies of central para military forces to Rajasthan and four to Haryana.
He said Delhi had no dearth of forces and no major incident was reported during the ‘NCR (National Capital Region) roko’ bandh’ announced by the Gujjars.
“There were some traffic jams and some minor incidents of tyre burning. Some trains were detained.
We have sent advisories to governments of Gujjar affected states and are also in touch with the director- general of the railway protection force,’’ Kumawat said.
Gujjars Protest
BJP MP offers to mediate
Chitleen K Sethi
Tribune News Service
Jaipur, May 29
Even as the Gujjar protest spread across the country today, the Rajasthan government kept a tight check on the agitators within the state. The “Shahidi Divas” programmes in Sikandra in Dausa district and Pilupura in Bharatpur during which Gujjar protestors offered floral tributes and observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to memory of those killed in police since last year passed off peacefully.
The state government today also decided to conduct the post-mortem of 14 victims of Sikandara police firing whose bodies have been lying at the mortuary of the SMS Hospital here since May 24.
Sitting BJP MP from Bharatpur, Vishwendra Singh has offered to help resolve the Gujjar reservation issue and met the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje at her official residence here this morning. Later, he proceeded to Bharatpur via Delhi.
The MP is likely to mediate with the state government to bring Gujjar leaders to the table to resume talks. Gujjars at Bharatpur have a high regard for Singh, who is from the Bharatpur Royal family.
Congress leaders were stopped from going to the sit-in protest site. Uma Bharti too was refused entry by the state government.
Addressing medipersons after a meeting with the Chief Minister at her residence this afternoon, BJP spokesman, Prakash Javadekar said the government was ready for fresh talks with the protestors. “The government cannot meet thousands of protestors at the site. A common meeting point has to be decided,” he said.
He added that the bodies would be handed over to the kin of the victims for cremation. The deadlock over post-mortem of victims whose bodies were lying at dharna sites in Pillukapura-Karvari and Sikandra was still unresolved and efforts to resolve it were on, Javadekar said.
Mann arrives in Bharatpur
Jaipur, May 29
Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann landed in Bharatpur today morning “to mediate peace” between the protesting Gujjars. Mann managed to come from Punjab via Uttar Pradesh, but was, however, stopped at the Bharatpur district. He was not allowed to move towards Pilu Pura, where the Gujjars were squatting with the bodies of their supporters.
Addressing a press conference at the Bharatpur Circuit House, Mann said he had come for the sake of peace and was aware of the problem. He demanded that since the Gujjars had no faith in the state government, the post-mortem of the bodies of the slain protestors should be conducted outside the state. — TNS

and positive thinking
army type trained people like
Gujar leader Kirori Singh Bhansla
Respected Dudee Ji,
I dnt know and understand what made you to project Bhainsla as reedemer and icon as an inspiration for neo-jat-leadership. Enlighten us about the splendid 'positive aura and energy' he has thrown at masses, if you dnt mind? Does he possess any sense of resposibility in the terms of civic discipline and moral duty being an ex-army man or you are just taken away with simple blocking of roads n killing innocent people? He has given a pathetic example of leadership to the country. I wish him and people like him the worst hell.
Thanks :)

Very true Sir,
Majority Jats know, it is need of the hour for our community.
Again Jatland being an online community you can't rule out doubtful ids posing as Jats and working against jats interests.
Thats a classical example of whinning about unneccassry things like fake ids as aliens will crash the earth.
Again, can you rule up the 'real ones' sir, for 'real interests'? and How?

Ha ...Ha ...ha.
Yeah it is a problem .
Choudhary Hawa Singh Sangwan is doing a wonderful job for community and we need many more like him.
BJP walas planned a rally on the same day and all the fuss was for the same reason.
You may be surprised to know that one of organiser Virender Sindhu was implicated under anti national activities for insisting on holding a rally .

There are positive moves regarding that.
Yesterday we had a meeting at Sonepat and representative of all Jat organisation had a unanimous resolution regarding inclusion of Jats in OBC at centre and state levels.A committee was constituted under leadership of Retired Chief Justice DS Tewatia .Jats are certainly moving towards their goal and efforts of sincere people for Jat community are showing its results.

Do not forget Sikar mahayagya - Jats Rajputs
Movement and Jat kisan Sanghrash and history.
Let we Jats learn from Gujars and from other people.
The Rajasthan Gujjars’ demand for inclusion in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category has turned violent in the past year, as the community feels squeezed out of OBC quota benefits. Sources say that the demand — first put forth in 1961-62 — has to be seen in relation to the inclusion of Jats in the Rajasthan OBC list in 1999.
In recent years, OBC cut-offs in the state have sometimes crossed the general category cut-off. In this year’s RPSC civil services (preliminary) examination, the general category cut-off, 193.14, was 13 marks below the OBC cut-off. The difference between the OBC and ST cut-offs, however, was 41 marks.
In the 2006 Rajasthan PMT examination, the OBC cut-off was 770, while the general cut-off was 737, at the pre-counselling stage. This was because the RPMT results at the pre-counselling stage make separate lists according to the category the candidate chooses, while the final list is adjusted by considering the top 50 per cent candidates as general category and then filling up the mandated quotas. The state civil services result, however, considers all OBCs as reserved on the grounds that reserved candidates get preferential service allotment.
Political observers feel that the competition in Rajasthan’s OBC category has become acute after Jats were included by the Vajpayee government in 1999. This also helped the BJP win support from the traditionally pro-Congress Jats in the 2003 assembly polls, they say. “After 1999, OBC groups like Gujjars, Malis and Ahirs find it impossible to compete with the economically well-off Jat candidates,” says a former bureaucrat. Gujjar leader Bhim Singh says, “The living standard of Gujjars is quite poor. Meenas have more land than us. We want parity with them through inclusion in the ST quota. With new castes getting added, the Gujjars are not able to benefit from the OBC quota.”
Jats constitute 10-11 per cent of Rajasthan’s population. With a significant presence in about 100 assembly constituencies, and 36 MLAs in the state, Jats are politically and educationally more powerful than Gujjars — who make up about 5 per cent of the population — and other OBC castes.
Consequently, Gujjars want inclusion in the ST quota, where Meenas are practically the sole beneficiaries. Out of Rajasthan’s ST population — 12.6 per cent of the total — Meenas constitute 53 per cent and Bhils almost 40 per cent. The Meenas are dead-against the Gujjars’ demand, which lead to violent Gujjar-Meena clashes last year.

Deepender hits out at Raje
Tribune News Service
Chandigarh, June 1
The BJP government in Rajasthan will have to pay a heavy price in the next assembly elections as it has done no good to any section of society during its four-and-a-half-year rule in the state. The Congress will be voted to power in the next assembly elections in the desert state.
This was claimed by Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda, who is the Congress election in charge of Hanumangarh district, in a statement issued here today. Earlier in the day, he addressed a “Sadbhawna Sankalp Sammelan” organised by the Congress in Amarpurajalu Khat village in the Sangriya assembly constituency. He also addressed public meetings in Pilibanga, Nathwana and Shahapini villages.
Deepender said the people of Rajasthan were disappointed with the state government as it had indulged in firing on them and had not fulfilled its election promises. He accused the Rajasthan government of functioning in an aristocratic manner which had triggered grate resentment among the masses. On the contrary, the previous Congress governments in the state always worked for the welfare of the poor and the farming community.
He said in Haryana, the Congress, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had taken a number of historic decisions for the benefit of all sections of society.
Coming down heavily on the Indian National Lok Dal, which plans to contest the Rajasthan assembly elections, Deepender said in Haryana the party faced the anger of the people in the assembly elections in 2005 for committing several atrocities on farmers. The people’s anger against the INLD was so intense that its supremo Om Prakash Chautala could not even become the leader of the opposition in the Vidhan Sabha. The BJP in Rajasthan would meet the same fate as the INLD had met in Haryana.
Lashing out at Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Deepender said the people living in palaces could not think of the welfare of farmers and the poor. Only those people who had worked with them could think of their welfare and take decisions for
their uplift.
Assault on Vice-President of Union
Auto-rickshaw drivers go on strike
Tribune News Service
Yamunanagar, June 1
Residents of the district had to face inconvenience today as more than 3,000 auto-rickshaw drivers went on strike in protest against the alleged beating up of the vice-president of the Jagadhri-Yamunanagar Auto Union. Auto-rickshaws are the main mode of transportation in the district.
Ramesh Kumar, vice-president of the union, was allegedly beaten up by a group of persons lead by Guchha last evening.
Incidentally, the entrance examination for admission to polytechnic courses was held today and hundreds of students who came to the district for appearing in the examination had to look for alternative modes of transportation to reach to their centres. Meanwhile, on a complaint of Ramesh Kumar, the police has booked Guchha and 25 others for assaulting him.
On April 4 also, the auto-rickshaw drivers had observed a strike alleging that the police was unnecessarily challaning their vehicles.
Gujjars to gherao Parliament

Rewari, June 1
Members of the Gujjar community from Rewari, Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, Faridabad and other districts of Haryana will stage a demonstration at Jantar Mantar and will also gherao Parliament in New Delhi on June 5 in protest against the alleged brutalities on Gujjars by the Rajasthan government as well as in support of the community’s demand for ST status.
A decision in this regard was taken at a mahapanchayat of Gujjars of Rewari, Mahendragarh, Gurgaon and Faridabad districts held under the chairmanship of Kalu Ram Nambardar (Bawal) at the Jaisinghpur Khera barrier, 25 km from here, today.
Expressing solidarity with their community members fighting for ST status in Rajasthan, leaders reiterated their demands for a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the dependants of those killed in police firing and Rs 5 lakh each to those injured, unconditional withdrawal of cases registered against Kirori Singh Bainsla and other Gujjar leaders of Rajasthan and a judicial inquiry into the alleged atrocities on Gujjars in Rajasthan.
Capt B.R. Mahlawat, district president of the Jat Mahasabha Haryana, Thakur Abhey Singh, district president of the Rajput Mahasabha, Haryana, Prem Singh of the All-India Brahmin Sabha and Shyam Singh Thakur, chairman of a cluster of 360 villages of Gurgaon district, extended support to the agitation while addressing the mahapanchayat.
Quota: Jats form panel
Our Correspondent
Sonepat, June 1
Representatives of 27 Jat organisations and pradhans of various khaps of Jats today formed a six-member committee to constitute a 15-member Jat arakshan sangharsh samiti to launch a campaign in support of their demand of reservation for Jats in OBCs.
The six-member committee will be headed by former Chief Justice D.S. Tewatia.
The other members of the committee are Kanwal Singh Pradhan, Col Maher Singh Dahiya (retd), Mangeram Sangwan, Ranbir Singh Malik and Udey Singh Dalal, former MLA.
After the meeting here in Chhoturam Dharamshala, which was jointly organised by the World Jat Aryans Foundation, New Delhi, and the Rastriya Surveer Jat Akta Aour Samjhota Manch, Haryana, the working president of the foundation Col O.P. Sindhu (retd) said the committee would hold a meeting on June 3 to finalise the names of the sangharsh samiti.
The samiti members, including members from Delhi Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, would go to villages in Haryana to seek public support and create awareness among the Jats about their demand, he added.
Tewatia said the demand for reservation for Jats in OBCs justified on the pattern of other castes like Gujjars and Ahirs as the Jats were socially backward in comparison to other upper castes.

Dear members,
Reservation for jats in Haryana is a current topic which is there because of obvious reasons like our community in UP, Rajasthan and Delhi is already there in this quota scheme. Now Gujjars are there to raise the issue and sentiments. Why not if they have got it and Gujjars are fighting for it. So its our turn. But is it really a big gain or falling prey to politicians. It really needs to be looked at.
Now there are calls for embibing the Gujjars, the Bainsla...I personally feel its degrading for me and my community,If you have to take Gujjars as leaders and follow them for our struggle for anything, whatever it is. I have got "n" number of great achievers and fighters in my own community. This cheap and ugly work of Gujjars can never match them in any way. The list is very long but to name a few....Ch Gokul, Ch Churamal, Raja Badan Singh, Maharaja Surajmal, Maharaja Jawahar Singh, Raja Mahender Pratap, Baba Teja, Ch Charan Singh, Ch Devi Lal, Mirdha's. I just named a few happened to follow the same religion which i do and there are great names like Maharaja Ranjit Singh types with whom i can connect with the Jat blood and we all should be proud, he is the only name who conquered Kabul and the muslim jats are doing extremely well in Pakistan also. When Pakistan came into being, Jats were in very bad state but recently, they are a force to reckon with. President Tarar, Pervez Illahi, Sujjat Hussain are the few names which we are familiar with. And, Gujjars have got none and they stand true to their reputation as on date also. so, lets change the model, we really cant afford to follow them. When we roam around in the Indian society the tag itself is not suitable to our reputation. How many of us have close friends with such reputation.
Now if we are really thinking about the reservation then lets go for some rough statistics.
1) Whats the total population of jat in Haryana as on date.
2) Whats the total %age of Jats in Haryana as on date.
3) As per reservation quota what catagory do we expect to fall.
4) What will be the total %age reservation for us as reserva catagory in all catagories. For ex; Class A,B,C,D.
5)Total no. of jobs as per its catagory, rough idea.
6) Total no. of reservation for all kinds of educational institutes.
I request if any of us has got that idea, it should be shared with all before we talk about the reservation.
Now if you talk of castes which are already reserved for the quotas. I doubt if their financial and social portions have improved as a whole. We have got examples in front of us like SC's of Haryana. there are very few families who have been enjoying this status and majority of them are still in the same rut. And this previlidged class amongst them has distanced from them. Hope we dont create such a class among us.
This is the time for jobs and opportunities in private sector and we should train ourself for that. I personally feel, asking for such a segregation from the main stream will put us to a great disadvantage as any such categorisation will be taken as a step which will put us in line of less deserving and opportunists. The mainstream will not give us a due chance and the most coverted characteristic that is self-respect because as we might have already bargained it. Kindly look at all these things.

I mostly agree on what you have written but still have some apprehension about those left out candidates and families who couldn't make it in the General list and their condition is worse than BC's in many cases.
Although I am not fully aware of the reservation mechanism but think that participants compete for dual category. I mean BC's, who gained seat in General quota wouldn't be counted in as BC for this purpose and these are the additional seats go to BC's. Therefore General category candidates are at disadvantage. I don't know, I may be wrong but can't stop thinking of those very very economically and socially backward Jats

The main problem with Jatland is that the old threads with good discussions are earthened after some time. New members come and start afresh discussions. Devender has asked some times back that there should be one thread of similar kind of things. I was not happy with it for humour but except that this would be beneficial. No member got time or those mindset again and other members also sometimes dont find answers to their queries.
Rajender ji, please have a look at the following reply of mine last year to similar kind of discussion. Shahpurush banne mein kuch na hai ... apne itihas ki duhai dete dete hum kab tak aage badh panege ... jo badh gae hein wo theek hai aur jo jat peechein hein unki mati-paleet hai aaj ke time pe. Kiss terah se mehanat karne wale bacche rahe jate hein iska ek example hai niche wale thread mein. I did analysis of last PMT rohtak results and please read the stunning benefit that YADAVs got. You have said that you didnt find any difference in SC status in Haryana .,.... dear sir .... Yadavs got kingdom like we people in history ... they are landlords .. they are decendents of Bhagwan ... they are in BC .... WHY??
Had there was such a big churn in thoughts like we JATs are doing .... they were all of one MAT on that ... as they see benefit of fellow yadavs and also of the well status ones. Looking at this post we can find out that
"Total Number Of seats
MBBS 200
BDS 60
BC-B Number of Seats
11%
MBBS 22
BDS 6.6
Kindly see the attachment for the details along with the ranks and numbers ... for what and how the benefit comes to Yadavs
Benefits (Due to being in BC-B and else they would not have got)
12 Doctors (8 MBBS, 7 BDS)
3 MBBS else they would be BDS
6 Will get the college of choice
750 Rs per candidate on fees
May be some advantage in fees also during the course
Let suppose 10-20% of my analysis is wrong,
even then will it be a benefit to the community or a dent on our image?"

Its quite ironical for me to think this way but here it is which is evident and factual ,' Learned Jat Historians are incapable of envisioning the future of the race except blindly following reservation in Haryana[Nearby states as well] as a redeem for unity and well being.'
Irnoy is that they are very good about past still unlearned abt future. But I'm dangerouly optimistic.

Bandh in support of Gujjars
Hisar, June 5
Shops and other business establishments remained closed today in response to a bandh call given by various Gujjar organisations to express solidarity with the agitating Gujjars of Rajasthan.
Teams of youths on motor cycles went around the main markets early in the morning to enforce the bandh call. They forced shopkeepers in streets also to put up the shutters.
Government offices, banks and other such establishments, however, functioned normally. There was no disruption of traffic anywhere in the town. However, the call evoked no response in Hansi, a subdivisional town 25 km from here. No untoward incident was reported.
Panipat: Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday visited family members of the two persons who were killed in the recent police firing in Pattikalyana village during the Gujjar protest.
Expressing his condolences, the Chief Minister said he had sympathies with the families of Kuldip and Papan, who were killed on May 29.
He said the firing incident was unfortunate. He said the probe ordered into the circumstances that led to the incident was likely to be completed soon and appropriate action would be taken against those found guilty.
He made an appeal for peace.
Some villagers demanded that the state government should support the cause of the Gujjars. The Chief Minister said he had always backed the Gujjar community and would continue to do so in future. He said if the BJP government in Rajasthan had promised reservation for the state’s Gujjar community, it should fulfil its promise.

Things are moving at a rapid pace at the ground level now.
A second meting of representative of all Jat organisation was held in Gurgaon at the residence of Retired Chief Justice DS Tewatia.
A decision to submit the memorandum by 13 of June was taken in this regard.
A unanimous decision by all Jat organisation was taken that we will support only that political party who will get us reservation .Since Congress is already in power a delegation will meet CM Saheb and put its demand in front of him.Jats expressed hope that Hudda Saheb might not have forgotten his own demand raised earlier for reservation of Jats under OBC category.
A detailed programme of meeting at District and Khap level was chalked out to create people awareness regarding their demands.
A Special emphasis was given to keep movement peaceful and strictly as per constitutional norms.
Out of a committee of 51 members selected all over India three members are active members of Jatland site (including one of its moderator).
So Jatland is having its impact on ground level politics now .
Dudee Saheb
A spark which you ignited at Bhadurgarh rally is turning out to be a big fire slowly .
