my mother keeps telling me an interesting kahni & i thought let me share it with u all, but i am really confused that where shall i post this , humour section or general talk . but finally after much thinking i decided that since humour is more close to the shiv& parvati( to whom this incidence belongs to ),this story of HIS shall go to the humour section . so without wasting much time here it goes ;
ek be shivji arr parvati bani (jungle) mein udtte jaave thea( jukar ramayan arr mahabharat mein dikha kare), te ke dekha se ke ek log arr lugai kati pathe-hall , lattee paat re , bhukhe -nange, chayle jaan lage re se.
te bhayio parvati ne un pe daya aa gi , arr shivji te ke khen laagi" maharaj in ka kuch bhala karo , aap to bhagwan so"
shiv ji bole" ri inka koi kuch na kar sakta , in ke karam maadde se"
parvati boli" aap te bhagwan so , kuch te karana e padega, dekho ne kissa tota aaya re in ke"
shiv ji ne nu sun ke arr nu kara ke ,weh donu jis raaste pe aawe te ,us pe ek notaa(currency) ki gatdi ger di,un ki thaan khatir. nu kar arr shiv-parvati dekhan laage.
itne mein ke hua wah lugaee apne log te boli" suno so ji yeh aandhe kukar chalya kare. aaawae ne aandhe ban ke chaala"
nu keh ke arr donu aandhe ban ke chalan laage, arr jib wah gathdi aayi jib upar ke paa dhar ke likad ge.
nu dekh ke shiv ji parvati te keh se " dekhya mane kahyee na thi inke karam made se , jinke karam maade ho unki te bhagwan bhi na paar laga sakta"

Good posting for the humour section and very funny. Hope no one uses it as an excuse to blame his Karm for laziness. Good joke.

dear all
thanx for apreciating the story , a point or too for clarification
1) in haryanvi generally karam refers to destiny , fate & actual karam , so its difficult to seprate these from the actual meaning of karam , any way the 2nd point drawn home is the moral of the story
i.e
2) moral of the story:----
even god can not help those whocannot help themselves

You are right in a way " God helps those who help themselves" But the joke could also be contrued to mean whatever any one does if you destined to be poor you will remain poor.

Any way to differentiate between the Karm what we call destiny or taqdeer(naseeb) with Karm (action). Infact our ancestors believed that they are one and the same thing from our actions we make our own destiny. Those who do nothing are called Karmheen or Nikkmaa and by using above analogy are responsible for their own destiny. That is why people say that we come to this world with closed fist and go from here with open palms. In between we use our hands and brains to make the best use of time we have got here.
