This is a true incident that happened with one of my Jat friends who was travelling to US on a plane for the first time. On his connecting flight, it was early morning and the air hostess came and asked him, Sir Would you like to have to tea or coffee. Jat ne phat te bolee tea. The air hostess brought over the tea along with the creamer and sugar. Mahre jat raam ne sochee ib to tu angrez pak raha se black tea penee padegi. Chai pee len ke bad main uska dhyan gaya creamer pe. Creamer ka dhakan taraya to dhekha dhoodh bada rajee hoya phat te charon creamer ke dhakan tare aur pee gaya. Jab yhade aaya tu maine bujhee kisa rahe safar bola yaar aur sab te theekh tha susraan ne chai te kalee paya dee aur dhoodh bhi ghana kum deve se peewan ne
Main bola re khasam tune te creamer ka milk shot bana rakha ta jib uske samajh aaye to bola tabhi main kahoon jahaj main barabar aala bhi aankh pad pad ke ne kyo dekha tha

I am no Jatins friend, but i still did it and still do it. Many of my non-jat frieds too did it.

Jats and jats and the incident shows the originality of the man. I wonder how many of you know that our own Ch. Devi Lal during a visit to China was staying in a five star hotel but would not take his bath unless a 'balti' and 'lota' were made available. Though a plastic bucket was no problem, it took more than an hour for the embassy to arrange a lota which had to be borrowed from some embassy staff who had brought it for the purpose of pooja.

Similarly, one of my friend's mother was travelling by air for the first time. When she arrived I asked her "Tai safar kaisa raha" and the tai replied with a gleam in her eyes "ai beta bhot badhiya, dikhe hallan tai katai na lagti." Similarly, I have also seen an educated baniya from Sonipat adding water to wine while travelling in a plane as he didn't know the difference between wine and whiskey and had demanded 'wine', in fact he meant whiskey.
