Dear Friends,

For quite sometime I have been thinking as to how the gender ratio is affecting our community. As we most know, the ratio of girls to boys is amost 0.8 among Jats. This is leading to many social problems. Other day I was reading that many Jat boys who are unable to find brides from within community, are going all the way to tribal ares of MP and Bihar.. I do not know what will be the long term repurcussions of this in terms of gene bank of the community..Is it good or bad, I have no direct answer. Ofcourse the evil is there in our biased mentality towards male gender which is the root cause of this problem.

Biologically speaking I do not see anything wrong in our boys getting their brides from tribal areas as I very strongly beleive that in the history of migration of populations, its mainly the men who migerated many many times more than the women folk. The migrated men got married local women in most of the cases as local males were either killed in the conflict or they simply ran away out of fear. If I make a general statement that, " irrespective of who our fore-fathers were, our great great grand mothers were certainly local ladies (call them tribal or what ever). However, in modern tims this will have educational and social implications.. I am not sure how such Jat boys and their coming geration will integare into higher Jat families and many similar issues if they remain backward. So much about the problem (???) . What is the remedy? Is there anyway that majority of our Jat brothers can be persuaded to treat girls equally as boys ?
Are there any aletrnatives of getting the brides from some other sources? ( say Rusia, Eastern Europe....LOL).. I am sure if our boys are given incentive of filling up the deficiency with Rusian or similar brides, I am sure they will work harder to prove competent husbands and there might be a jat social revolution in making.....

I dont know about idea of marrying into europeans because I wonder how they find this idea(I am personally in not favor of it coz of very obvious reasons and dont have very good ideas about people from eastern europe).
But as far as marrying with girls from MP et al is concerned I wonder what it will do to our gene pool(god I dont want to sound as some kindda race supremacist or whateva) .
I think this is result of sins which are being commited on the name of having a "son".
Rather than bringing brides from other communities or countries it would be better if acceptance of girl child (specially in villages) is increased,no point in shying away from fact that it is abyssmally low, which in turn can be achieved from increasing level of education in boys in rural areas.
As I always maintain crisis jats r facing is "do bheege khud" that they have....every boy in village thinks he is a zameedar and shuns education.
more thoughts r welcome.

ps:based on past experience on this board..apologies in advance if someone´s sensibilties are hurt...that was not my aim in this post.it is MY personal view and I believe I am entitled to have it :)

dear all

education is the solution for most problems of the jats. plz don't mind i am afraid to say jats are educationally very backward.we are still living with tribal mentality.we are killing our daughters and sons if they marry in other community.students from faraway places like eastern UP, bihar and bengal are coming to delhi getting jobs meant for delhi pepoles.it is very unfortunate that our students of our community are not taking the benefits of proximity to delhi.
our community members flaunts thier wealth in very crude manner. spending lavishly on occasion like marriage.on other hand recently marwari association of calcutta has decided to slash their marriage expenditure by 75%.

EDUCATION MUST BE VERY HIGH IN PRIROTY FOR JATS.
AND THOSE PERSONS WHO KILL THIER DAUGHTERS FOR THE MALE CHILD MUST BE BOYCOTTED FROM JAT COMMUNITY.
