i have been having a look at the annual UPSC results for a few years now.unfortunately, i have been hard pressed to find jats in it. this is really a sorry situation........ for a community with such a vibrant history, we have not claimed our due place in governing India. we make pretty good politicians, why not civil servants? academic blues ? or the call of phoren lands ? the situation needs correction.it shall go a long way in improving our image and empowering our peasant brothers .

Hi Paramjit bhai,
There is simple reason because jat's are not helping each other. Also jats are more concentrated towards army services.
As we know all the 35 communities are against our community along with people in our community are against each other. They don't wanna that any other jat goes on higher post than them.
Also we have lack of communication skill and other good manners.
These are few reasons.

Paramjit Jee n Balraj Jee,
Thanks for your brainstorming. I would like to add here:
*Basically we, jats are physically oriented. We likes to visualise the results of our efforts in front of us. The farming, Armed forces, Games or any other fields that require physical activities attract us.
*Civil Services and other fields with more mental work and sedentary in nature do not appeal to us.
*The rock solid determination, Patience, and support of the family and friends are very crucial facts to compete with the pressure that comes to the prospect.
*In some conditions daily livelyhood chores left no time and energy behind though talent is there.
*We want immediate recognition and the recognition for an academician some times takes longer than life.
*The most important, the fear of judgement kills all the hopes.

Dear Dr. Narinder,
You are right upto some extent. But we must realize that majority of Jat population lives in rural areas and that talent is still unexplored. Those people do not have access to quality education and guidance as compared to people in urban areas. There are now quite a good number of jat families in Urban area too.
Proper guidance and proper education is a must for such endures like civil services and science. We do have a pretty good representation in all fields but not upto the mark.
It is not like that civil services and other mental ability challenges donot appeal us. Our people are not given opportunies or access to the required quality education and training (keeping the whole lot of our population in mind). It is not that these frontiers do not appeal challening to us. When ever a chance is given we do get through such challenges with a bang.
You are very much right, determination and support is a must for such long term endures.

Dear Mr. Sindhu,
I oversighted the gap b/w urban n rural setting.
Obviously we represent the rural one.
Thanks for correcting me.
