The idea of book of Jat Jokes another on poems

Hi all,
Workin' with Print publications is my passion. The ither day I was just contemplating this idea of having a book maybe on jat jokes/anecdotes. And another one where u all could contribute to make a beautiful and readable book of poems.
Well some of u might think that jatland is already providing a platform to share jokes/poems/anecdotes etc. I agree. But the print publications, books have their own charm and this way we can degin documenting some amazing stuff related to our community.
any ideas/opinions/suggestions???

This is a good idea. But i would like to add that the joke or poem should have only the Jaat character. am i right?

Dear Friends,

There are few books already existing on the subject of JAT Humor. One I can immediately recollect is 'Humor from Haryana'. Author is a dear friend and relative of mine, Mr Rajbir Deswal. He is an SSP in Haryana Police, presently on deputation with the Central Govt. He is authored others books as well and is a regular columnist in most english newspapers.

He had also created a very informative website about Haryana: www.hariana.com I think the right now it is under updation.

Well, Sir, Thanx for the info. that there exists a book entitled 'Humour in Haryana'-do let me know where I can get a copy of it. Have not come across it.
Also, I think we are a pretty large community- one book on humour is probably just one drop- we have yet to create an ocean of documented stuff on Jats. Other subjects like history, social scene, War Heroes-(I was lucky to get one copy on this subject from Uncle Dharampal Dudee) and some other sort of serious stuff have been touched upon. But I am trying to make an effort to make an effort in the more creative or artistic side.Wouldn't u all agree with me if I say we have talent and it is high time we exhibited the same to the world!
OK - SO - ATTENTION EVERYBODY-
I have in mind these two projects. I invite contributions from you all on humour and poetry. U can mail me the same on sabeenac@hotmail.com. I plan to have them fantastically illustrated and designed and very sophisticatedly printed.
Also to attach a noble cause to it - a part of the sale proceeds over the cost of production will be given to the recently conceived World Jat Foundation that will work for the benefit of our community at large.
I plan to take off this project asap- all those interested may please mail me their contributions. Also if somebody can provide me with some good pics. of our traditional way of life- pl. do pour in.
Any suggestions/ideas etc...post immediately.
