Hi All,
I have an avid interest in paranormal stuff and just wanted to know from fellow members if anybody has tried to contact the spirits/ ghosts through any medium. I came to Pune recently and one of my colleague showed me how to talk to spirits using planchette (also called Ouija Board). I have experienced this myself. We took a chart paper and wrote the letters from A-Z and the numbers. There is also a virtual Home on chart and Yes/ No options. Then we keep our fingers on glass lightly and ask for any holy spirit. After some time, the glass (steel glass, big enough to be mischivously controlled by single person) starts moving and whatever questions we ask, it answers them moving from letter to letter. This was a first time experience for me and after that have done it myself at with my family and believe it or not, the glass actually moves. And some of the answers I was given have come true.
What is your opinion on this phenomenon? Is it really spirits or our sub-conscious or our mental power moving the glass. Has anybody done this thing and how true it seems? Even though the answers have amazed me (as atleast some of them if not all came true). But I am still skeptical a bit.

Dear All,
In the early seventies there was a rumor that a 'Stove' answers questions. I remember that in Sonepat it became a craze and in every house you had stoves moving. Well the 'Punjabi's - JAI MATA DI types' had started this.
But in a country when 'Ganesh' can drink milk (I know of osmosis theory), anything and everything is believeable. It is a matter of faith. But JATS generally don't believe in all these things. Maybe.

dear all,
there is only one remedy for this diease.and we jats have been very good at it.just do not look for any reasoning and do not allow such things to be discussed.reject such things in toto in the beginning only.
ek bar do jat bhai bhutaon ke bare mein baat karne laag rehe the.ek bola ki falan ki bhahu ben bhutani badgi.eya sari baat sunda bhi sun raha tha.sunda bhechara chada malang tha.sunda sari bat sun ke bola...tum jhut bol rahe so...agr ye bhutani hoti to ek adhi mere mein bhi aya jati aur mera bhi ghar bas jata.

Hi Hamendra,
good to hear from you..still in IIT? mail me at pnauhwar@cisco.com for further communication..
Aur jahan tak bhooton ki baat hai pata nahi log itna tension kyon lete hain...Arre bhoot hain ya nahi but topic is interesting...And for this planchette stuff I have mentioned I am skeptical too but was expecting some answers from ppl. with scientific mind...ek bhai ne bola ki hamari ungli ghumati hai glass but dear have u done it urself ever? Even I did not believe it earlier but hve experienced it myself and i know i was not moving the glass with my fingers (FYI..I am an educated person with a scientific mind and look for reasons on every phenomenon) and this is the reason I posted this stuff...Rather than bluntly ignoring this, lets have a good discussion..
Almost 80% ppl..all over world believe in God though no one has seen him then wat makes u believe him or say prayers to him..If God exists, spirits or ghosts too can..For me they are just different entities living in a parallel world in a different dimension. Even science believes the existence of parallel worlds. I think atleast some ppl. must have heard of words like ESP (Extra Censory Powers), OBE (Out of Body Experience), Auras, etc..there have been so many examples for these phenomenons so its not that watever we can see or sense only exists..there are lot of things to explore yet...
Hoping for an interesting discussion on this now..and for those who dont believe at all dont just write negative comments..prove ur point..thats the essence of discussion
Bhool-chook leni deni...bura laga ho to maaf karna (nahin bhi karoge to koi baat nahin :)

Dear All,
Let me give you a very personal experience. Nearly 23 years have passed but I haven't been able to fathom whether it was some spirit or illusion.
As a young Lieutanant of Infantry I was posted in NEFA (Arunanchal Pradesh). It was routine to go for LRPs (Long Range Patrols) up to the China Border. And being the junior most officer for about 18 months in the unit (Paltan) it was my honor to go for maximum LRPs. And it was fun. As a young officer one was treated like God, whereever one went. And the areas that I visited were and still are perhaps the remotest and most beautiful.
Well it was Dec 1981 and I was to Patrol three mountain passes, on either side of Siang River (Tsang Po - Siang - Bhramputra). It was normal practice to stay in the Village 'Naam Ghar' (Chupaad) or tuck in with a military or para military outpost. Since I was out on a 30 day LRP, we were to be replenished at TUTING (a small little hamlet with an airstrip on the banks of Siang). The CRPF HQ at Tuting was under command of DSP Mishra. I couldn't meet him as he had gone to his HQ at Pasighat. He was to return in a weeks time. We got replenished and procceded to our base camp (A section of CRPF, 10 men, was located at a place called Bishing Basti) about two days walk from Tuting. We were welcomed by the senior most CRPF person, a Havaldar (Sargent). They too look forward for the Army Partols so that they can interact as also have a good round of Rum. As we were getting ready to settle down for the night the Havaldar came and told me "Sahib, kuchh khane peene se pahle hamare ustad ke yahan prasad chadha do". (Very briefly: One Hukum Chand, a CRPF Jawan, had died in 1975 at this post. The place of cremation has been converted into a small shrine where all must pay respect). We too did so. Later we sat down for the evening 'bonfire' with Old Monk Rum and Deer Bar-be-que. Oh, those were the days!!!
I asked one Jawan of the CRPF, Nair, as to what is this 'Chakkar' of Hukam Chand. Nair told me that Hukum Chand is like a 'Guardian Angle' of this post and if a sentry sleeps on duty, Hukum Chand slaps him. (This is a very common story all along the mountain posts). Also if 'Prasad' is not offered to him he goes and reports the matter to the DSP at the HQ. He gave an example of 1980 Diwali when they had forgotten to offer 'Prasad', Hukum Chand had gone and reported to DSP Mishra at Tuting. I didn't believe it and after a lot of song and dance we slept off. After visiting all the three locations we movbed back to Tuting (where we were again replenished for the remaining part of the task). By now DSP Mishra had returned from the HQ. I asked him about the 'Ustaad' at the CRPF post at Bishing. Mishra confirmed that last Diwali Hukum Chand came and told him on Diwali night "Sahib, sab log kha pee ker mast hain or mujhko poocha nahin". Mishra told me that he contacted the post the next day on HF Radio (those days two way conversation was not the in thing and all messages were passed and received at at pre decided times by Radio Telegraphy). The post commander at the post told Mishra that they had forgotten to offer 'Prasad' to 'Ustaad'.
Believe it or not!!!!

Prashant,
I did that in the past. but the approach was different somewhat. We used a chart or something like that. Draw a cirlcle having all the alphabets and an inner circle having 0 to 9 numerics and yes and no options. The only difference was that two persons can do that not a single. we used to place any coin or a small bowl made of iron or steel in the middle and two persons puts their fingers on that and pray for the spirit to come. when the spirit came the coin or bowl automatically start to move towads 'yes'. And after that we used to ask questiond about future and believe me most of the answers comes true later.
I still can do that.

Hey Vijay, next time you do it with your friend, keep your eyes closed and then ask questions related to you..most probably the answers would be wrong..try it and inform..this happened to me

No, Strangely.... they are right. The basic thing behind is that the spirit don't have any communication medium and he/she is contacting with us through me and my friend and he/she knows eveything that what me and my friend have in our minds at that time. So we used to ask about other questions which me and my friends don't know ......
It's not fortune teller but more than 70% what the spirit told us was right.....

Ok..do this next time...as soon as the spirit comes, ask questions for which you know the answer but your friend doesnt (so it should not be about ur future but questions viz. ur mama's car no. or anything which ur friend doesnt know)..u may get the right answer...now repeat the same question with your eyes closed and then ask your friend what answers the sprit is giving..this time it shud be wrong..do let me know the result..Reason ? I think its our sub-consious which knows most of the answers and when it gives answers for our future, its just that we try for the same thing later and cause that event to happen..what say?

With all my skepticisms aside, I still believe that spirits or so called ghosts do exist and there are ways to communicate with them.. If possible try to read the book 'Ghost of flight 401' by John G. Fuller. Its a true story about a plane which had crashed and the spirits of its flight crew were seen in many planes where the deceased plane's parts were put. It also talks about communication with those spirits.

Funny thing is just an hour back or so I was talking about some experiences, dont wann blow it up here but I totally agree with their existence, so much so that I dont consider them paranormal. Rather a part life which could happen to anyone, somehow I just feel fortunate.

Respected Sir,
I had read many stories about the army engineer who designed and constructed a road in border area ( i forget the place ) and when the read was completed his senior took credit for that and that army engineer got frustrated and committed suicide by throwing himself from that road on a dangerous curve on the road into the valley and died. After his death there happened so many accidents on that place and people's belief is that that his soul is still patrolling there. If someone passing through that place and doesn't remember him they suffers.
I hope you know that place and the incident.
Regards
Vijay

Ya you maybe true as our sub-consious mind is the key to all the answers of this universe. You approach is right and i will try that if i again try that thing as i don't do this practice these days. But your point seems valid and i will try whenever i get a chance.
Our will power cause happen everything what we desire but it is matter of fact that how strong our will power is.
