IDEA !!

I and my friend have an idea, but we had not planned to commercialize it. My idea is kinda wierd but with my experience, I am sure it will work out well. I was planning to open up an astrology portal but of a different kind. Most of the dating portals match people on the basis of age and interests. I was planning to match it on the basis of horoscopes of individuals. I am not sure of how and why to commercialize it. But by advertizing etc, we can get some bucks. If somebody has something to say or guide or add, u r most welcome.

While there is no harm in making money off
of the ignorance and superstitious beliefs
of the gullible, we Jats have always taken pride
in being free of these Brahmanical Jadu-Tonnas, of which astrology is just another extension.

I wouldn't be happy to see a fellow Jat
propagate such beliefs, even on the pretext of making money. By doing so we'll be giving credance to such superstitions.

I do not know how much u know about astrology, I do not want to prove my self, but I have spent years in research in this field and it has more substance in it than what people think. It is not superstition - it is a science- and I don't want money by astrology. I wanted money by advertising on a dating portal, helped by astrology. it won't be an astrology portal but a dating site.
I respect ur views, but it seems most of the people still think astrology as a superstition rather than science.

Don't believe the "science" argument here,
but that is a long issue of discussion. So
no point getting into that here. I've
read a fair amount on that and still not
convinced.

But good luck if you do start off in that
direction.

If there can be a hindu/muslim/christian/sikh/jat/brahmin/manglik in dating/matrimonial equation, its OK to have based on astrology. Its a Q of beleif, if someone beleives in it, good for divya, if not they can use other sites. Good luck to Divya!
