How do we define Success ???

Well is it the fat pay checques.. is it being at a position where you have lots of ppl working under you.. is it being able to sit at home with lots of money in your account not needing to do anything....


Well everyone here will probably have a different definition for it...

I would like to know what we ppl think success means to us....
So many times we run after something thinking that if I achieve this I will be successful.. but once you are there you realize that even this dint make you happy .. then you look for bigger goals..this never comes to an end...

So what actually is success.. ????

Because I am sure all of us want to be successful .. but not knowing where to go we probably might be heading in the wrong direction..
I would like ot know how you ppl feel abt it.

I feel sucess is nothing. It is something which can never be achieved..
First of all why do we want to be successful.. ppl will say to be happy !!!

But then why put a condition on our Happiness.. we can be happy all the time irrespective of our environment.. Happiness i think is a state of mind... Now if I can be happy all the time there is no need for success..

Also I think its the journey towards your goal which you should enjoy and which enriches you and not the end result... So even fi we fail to reach our goal we can be successful if we learnt and enjoyed while we tried to achieve our goal.

I think sucess has no defination. Its a relative term.

But above all if you have money/power then you will be sucessfull man..........

And this is a hard core truth ...........

This is what I got in an email recently:


At age 4 - success is not peeing in pants.
At age 16 - success is having a driver's licence.
At age 20 - success is having sex.
At age 35 - success is having a good job.
At age 55 - success is holding on to good job.
At age 70 - success is having sex.
At age 80 - success is having a driver's licence.
At age 90 - success is not peeing in pants.


So, life goes through a full circle!

Well I agree that its kind of relative term.. i think we feel successfull when we are the best.. in something which we are trying to achieve..and the definition of the Best is relative and keeps changing..

Also our goals and aspirations keep changing as we grow and become more mature...

Lets see if we more ppl have some views to share on this ...
