Dear Poonia
Thanks for reminding about our past
We know and accept it
But what about our present
We should accept the realities
A sorry state of the affaires in our present realities.
You may give any figures of present scientists of working IN USA
But they are all slaves of ROSI AND ROTI
PAHALE APANA GHAR SUDHARO
PHER PADHOSI KAI GHAR ME IJJAT MIL SAKTI HAI
Thanks for reminding us that we were greats
We have got a mind
But not a will to know and do
We are a confused lot

With all good wishes,
Cordially,

Partap.

ya, very good,

but sahab, when all the scientists,
all the engineers,
all the doctors,
all the high qualified people wud go to USA or any other country then
wat wud remain in India,

why r we so proud of Indian, only by knowing our history, our ancestors, why dont we make proud of our next generation, by doing all progresses in our own country, by living in our own country,

i dont understand, our mentality..............we dont have any self-respect...we have brain, we have power to think, but we have lack of self-respect...........really sad,
good luck to all of u.

09. Algebra, trigonometry and calculus came from India. Quadratic equations were by Sridharacharya in the 11th Century; the largest numbers the Greeks and the Romans used were 106 whereas Indians used numbers as big as 1053......

Please note that Algebra is from Arabic world and not India..Its called Al-gebra..

Yes I agree with you about all the indian greatness no doubts about that...and I do not wish to underplay their achievemnets. however,

great are those who are great every where and not specific to any place or time..

great are those who do not need others to provide them the opportunity to prove their greatness..

great are those who provide the opportunity to others to show their greatness

Will any one of thse Indians measure up to MK Gandhi who went to South Africa and then came back to India and gave self respect to Indians ?

Will any of these Indians measure upto SN Bose who is the only Indian to have his name with Einstein?

Will any of these measure up to CV Raman who did all his work right here in India ?

High time we prove our greatness right here in India.. to me brain darin is like mining where all the ore is taken away and the debris is left behind....Will some one clean the debris..?

Topic is long , we can spend life time talking about this...but this is how I feel about it...Sorry if I hurt sentiments of those in west..

hi to every one .well what i have realised after reading all the replies that every person is happy about our great past we had but sad about our present n future.i would like to share my views about this.first thing the situation these days is like that every person wants to get best outcome for his hard work n wants to live a prosprous life .so in search of good life humans (not only indians) r migrating to different places so if u say that we should glued to our roots its not practical .its good to say i will do this n that for my country but no one does .n what i believe if u really wants to do something for ur country then distance doesnot matter.what matter is that u should reach at such a level in life so that u will be able to help ur country (in whichever manner).u should have the desire to help our people n make our people proud of us.n especially if u r a NRI then the chances to help ur country r more bright so inspite of cursing the situation n factors its better if we change our attitude.especially the NRI's r lucky one to be in such a position to do some thing .n why only NRI's ,each n every person of india should think that how can he make our country more progresive n better.its time to take responsibility n the day people started thinking about their responsibility then no wonder INDIA will again lead the world .if u want to change the world ,change urself n then feel the difference .its just a question of looking .u can sit in ur home n curse the situation n count the factors or u think how can u change the situation n do something ....something....when u say something it means alot to people so say india is great n see how the whole mob will sing the same song.its up to u what u see ..the glass is half filled or half empty....
take care

outside or inside India , it doesnt matter what matters is whether one is successful or not ...and a successful man will be apprecaited where ever he is .......
but I see these successes of these men as there personal successes and I wouldnt call them achievements of someone as an Indian I mean most of these people didnt venture into these achievements to make their country proud or help their countrymen....they rather did it for themselves like you and me ...thus they might come across as successful Indians but they didnt do so in order to be more Indian or out of patriotism .....and as far as history is concerned itis surely a thing to be proud of ....and hey how come there was no mention of the greatest Indian of all time ...MAHATMA GANDHI I mean if he isnt the biggest achievement of ours then please show me what is big achievement
