Once in the ghats of Chambal there were 5 dacoits(say A,B,C,D,E) (Assume you are their head and you are A). Once the five theives plunder 1000 bucks and then u sit down to split it.

Now any proposed split will only happen if it is agreed by the majority otherwise the one who proposed shall be killed and the next dacoit will propose (if at any time there are equal no. of votes opposing or supporting the proposal then the proposal is kept and the split takes place).

Now since you are the head you give your proposal first and if it fails then B, then C and so on.

So now the problem is to give the proposal in which u have the maximum profit( ofcourse u have to live).

Come on you are the head of dacoits and not thieves and dacoits not not steal or divide they just rob. SO just rob 1000 bucks and forget thieves
