Now, the point I want to press is that I have really seen girls struggling to get their due, only because such acts (as Mallika's) are still considered against their culture and parents fear that even their girls may bring disrepute to their families.
Dear Jitender Singh Jee,
Isn't your statement for parents discriminating girls? Do boys (so called kul deepak) never bring the same to the family? Why are they immune? We use this kind of statement for execuse. I will call it selective deafness/blindness.
I agree the society is not rational and it will not be atleast during the days of our lives. We can not change people's mentality. Not to promote such a discriminating behaviour when it come to us is with in our reach and exactly that I am doing here.
Thanks,
jitendersingh

Dear Dr. Dudee,
I wish it were my statement.
But sorry, it is a damn truth. It is as real as me and you.
Probably that is the only reason that this discussion is going on.
Again, had it been only my statement. It would have been so nice for society (as well as girls). But it is parents and not me who are discriminating amongst the boys and girls.
Hope you see the things of your vision in your this life......

i read many messages of so many jat people.well........i guess those people who feel proud to see mallika in a lead role haven't seen the promos of the movie.i have seen and MALLIKA is looking damn weird.wot i can say all is that......HEIGHTS.........the way she has dressed up and given weird shots one shudn't do it that way.as such i have nothing against her.
Trust me I am normal enough to lech at her and at the same time not feel proud of her .
I mean why should I feel proud of her or anybody else whom I dont even know , someone to whom I am not even a baby bit attached , someone whose presence or absence in the world makes not an iota of a difference to me .
Or should I feel proud / ashamed of her just because this stupid society which surrounds me has branded / labelled me and her as a Jat .Thats absolute bull , I never judge a person by his / her caste / religion / creeds et al.If I ever do that I 'll surely feel ashamed of myself and wud really hate my self instead of feeling proud or ashamed of Mallika ( Reema Lamba)
Well about this movie khwaaish - I just loved watching it .Not not because of Aunty Lamba's big bosom heaving at 10.9 on the ricter scale but because this flick was shooted in PUne and I was in Pune only that time and secondly was going around with a gal those days and the story ie the initial courting and wooing had a tremendouis similarity with yours unruly's amorous life .
There were scenes in this flick which on seeing she and me bot use to say - Aray same humhaare saath bhee aisaa hee huaa thaa . We use to just burst into a wild laughter on seeing that movie .HAve seen it umteen times and can always enjoy watching it as it makes me nostalgic and reminds me of that someone special in my life once who today due to a cruel blow of destiny is no more alive and that was the only reason I had to say my final goodbyes to PUne .Didnt wanted to be haunted by her memories anymore and wanted to start everything right from the scratch from some new place , some new work in total solitude.

Didn't feel a thing. Nothing! Zilch !
I mean why should we have ?
She wasn't pretty enough to make me jealous.
Her acting and everything else was so so. No real issues there.
I did get turned off by some of her interviews, where she was portraying herself as some sort of new spark for the new bolder, more confident woman. I almost puked at her school girl outlook.
She talked about sex and all. Seemed to me she hadn't even kissed in real life.
(Sorry, didn't read all the other responses. Soccha yun heen phenk doon main bhi apnee. :-)

Sorry to learn about the loss of someone close to heart. Can't say that I can fully understand/imagine it but it must be real hard. Life is a complicated process and at times it reminds us that there are many things which are just beyond our control.

Hi,
Malika sehrawat should be proud or ashamed. Why you guys are bothered. You can watch Bipasha or neha dupia exposing but cannot tolerate malika. First of all there should not be double standards in life. Who are we to set standards in life. You guys are trying to chaudhry of the jat community, then do one thing feed all the starving jats, then stop dowry, help the mandeep who lost his father recently. Come and follow Chotu ram. Malika is bad right and you are not ashamed of your jat brothers who burn down their wives for dowry. You have the right to frame the rules in the society, when you have served your own society. First help then become chaudhry. Praveen dabas smooched in monsoon wedding, you are not ashamed because he is male. Donot be hypocrite. If you are not ashamed of praveen dabas then you should not be ashamed of malika sehrawat. Go to village and you will found jat bhai desi daru drink kar bahu ne pitay us me sharam kone. Today 9 out of 10 people are selfish. Our NRI jats, do they contribute funds for education of the poor jat brothers.

Amit: I agree with you on this one that since this was done by a female thats why the entire community is going gaga over it but had it been a male nobody would have even uttered a word. I havent seen the movie yet so dont know if they really measure 10.9 on the Richter scale as bro Davy mentioned earlier. I dont know how he came up with this number though because richter scale has rating from 1-9. isse kehten hain daton tale ugli daba lena.....Anyways, its her life and she has right to chose as to how much she wants to expose. I think "IF YOU GOT IT, FLAUNT IT!"

hmm the 10.9 thingy is more accurate for the murder movie and is worth watching if not for the 10.9 thingy ( I watched it for that only ) then for the songs , some of them are really awesome , specially -
Dil ko hazaar baar roka roka roka ,
dil hai hawaaon kaa jhonka jhonka jhonka
dil ko samjhana , dokha mut khana
dokha hai pyraa , yaar pyaar hai dhokha
BHeege honth also is worth lending ears too .
And Aunty Lamba aka Mallika - 01.9 is just not enough - Yeh dil maage more .

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan you guys have talked TOO much on this issue.
I read the first 4 pages (plus this 1) and then gave up and couldnt be bothered.
The topic is "ASHAMED OR PROUD" ... ok, lets put it into perspective.
Take Sehwag. Simple Jat guy from Delhi. Spanks 309 vs Pakistan; India wins the match.
I AM PROUD.
Take Mallika, on the other hand. Kisses what? something like 20-odd times during Khwaish, and does a few raunchy (by india standards) acts in Murder.
BY AND LARGE - these films were both piss poor and the acting was ****. She is a **** actress.
OK, fair enough - if the scene[s] required kissing/nudity - then fair play. I mean in Bandit Queen, the nudity really fired it home. The kissing/raunchiness is not really required in Murder (which is a bollywood copy of "Unfaithful" - story about a bored housewife embarking on a fling with a young artist).
BOTTOM LINE: She is a **** actress and will do anything for money (ie, getting her kapre off).
VERDICT: AM I PROUD OF HER? HELL NOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Watch WITNESS if you get a chance. Pretty good performances. And the bristling sexual chemisty that has been depicted between Ford and Kelly McGillis is guaranteed to keep you aroused for a long long while. It's one of it's kind

seen it!
if its sexual chemistry you're after - then I recommend Monster's Ball starring Halle Berry & Billy Bob Thornton.

its not about what bollywood movies are good and what aren't.
there plenty!! thats not up for discussion.
what's up for discussion is this whole "kissing/raunchiness" etc in bollywood films.
I think it is a little bit of a sad state of affairs that leading hollywood ladies like Julia Roberts, Jennifer Anniston, Brittany Murphy, Kirsten Dunst etc all say "NO" to nudity in films ...
Then take our Bollywood 'madams'. When the makers of 007 were looking for an indian girl to play a heroine & 'Aishwarya rai as the next bond girl' saga was going on... it emerged that she would not do it b'cause it would require "kissing/raunchiness". fair play to Ash!
But then come the besharam rundiaa of bollywood eg Priyanka chopra,Lara Dutta,Mallika Sherawat (notice how none of them have even 1 hit or award to their name) explaining to the curious western media "main kapre uthar doongi", "main kapre uthar doongi".
I say screw it. If Mallika Sherawat logged on to the net and read 14 pages dedicated to her (and thats more than 14 pages of glossy photographs on santabanta.com ) she would get very boosted indeed.
Why?
She's a **** actress. A 1/2 decent face (Aishwarya,Preity,Mahima,Amisha are all better) and a nice body which she'll show off at the drop of a hat.
Nothing to be proud of. though on embarrassment - ummm, I wouldnt say so. Its not like Marathis,Gujaratis,Bengalis etc don't produce any cheap women.
Bad apples in every barrel.

Hey guys n ladies,
Well I just came here after many weeks and well we still are discussing wheather we r ashamed or proud of Malika. Well I had written a note quite long time back and I repeat again. WHO THE HELL ARE WE TO DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR HER? Come on folks its her life. Every one has to pay the price in life to achieve some thing and she is doing what she feel is best for her. I am sure if given a chance any one would like to get fame and wealth. Is there any thing wrong kissing 20 times and wearing exposing dresses. Hell no its not wrong. We all feel wrong because we r brought up like that. We are talking about her and not about the mens from jat community. SOme of our leaders have married twice and have misters do we talk about them or are we ashamed about them? Why don't we discuss about them too. This way we should be ashamed of many folks. Lets not talk about some one's character and or what he or she is doing. I think I would say I am proud of her as she had the guts to go to the industry and atleast give a try. Trust me every one here in this forumn would do anything to get fame and wealth and when we dont have guts to do or don't achieve we start talking about embrassement. Lets stop this discussion folks its not taking us anywhere. If I have annoyed any one I am sorry as my intentions are not to annoy any one but put through my views. Have a great day......

A big NO. Respect the women dude. We have no authority to say this. What ever she did to go there she made it.
If we can not help then we can not also comments bad aganist any person. Lets just leave this and her to herself. Let discuss more constructive. There are so many issue we Jats have to discuss so lets see what we can do.

OK ... last three good hindi films I saw were:
1. hum tum
2. LoC
3. kal ho naa ho
of those 3, films rani mukherjee has been in two. preity zinta in the other.
noooo way, does mallika have anywhere near the same talent as those two.
". ... her acting is ****. FACT. -> all new commers are like that"
... Both Rani and Preity had hits within 1 year. (without kissing or removing clothes).
"agar koi aur kapde uthar raha ho tho moo aur jeeb nikal jati hai .... arre yaar why r we bothered about it. Just see the movie and come back. Dont look at her as a jatni but as a character PERIOD."
... but that seems to be the hallmark of every film of hers.
". she had no contacts in bollywood when leaving haryana/delhi - therefore must've screwed her way to the top.FACT -> Do you know it? or is it juts heard from a thrid person ? or are we to judge on her character ? ... kya yaar, itna bhi namuna naa bano.
in a nation that produces the most miss worlds, miss universes etc, where there's no dearth in beauty - CONTACTS are everything. either u must be a miss india or a supermodel yaa kisi actor ki beti (eg Kareena).
Mallika darling has none of those. She comes from a humble background from north india with no contacts down south. She herself has admitted she went through hell to break into acting. Ab itna bhi "naive" naa ho.
You fill in the gaps.
No offence intended.

maalika sherawat is a HUGE dissapointment. she's an embarrassment to her family, jats and india. most actresses act "ho-ish" off-screen, but she does it when the camera is rollling.
IMO opinon, preity zinta is the classiest actress in the industry right now. i think shes the only 1st class indian actress not to do a kissing/bold scene. much love and best of luck to this talented, humble, bubbly and sweet rajputni.

Instead of appreciating of what she is today I really feel ashamed that people still beleive in casteism. From just a middle class girl from a town in haryana she has made her mark not only in bollywood but is very soon in hollywood too. Never before has any actress worked with mr chan. even though there has been a number of actresses who have tried to gain fame through their skin show. Rather we should take inspiration from her for her dedication to become popular and successful

She's just doing her job n even other actresses are following the same suit now as thier demand plummeting day by day. I personally think that its all part of society's growing up n people should also grow up. I've been living in France for last 2 years n here u see couple's kissing everywhere. but hardly anybody cares as it is not thier business. so personaaly lets forget about the mallika issue n move on with our lives. Deepika ji, can you enlighten us why u feel like posting such a thread. What were your intentions behind this?? Being a lady you should support a fellow jat girl but instead you choose to victimise her, trying to disgrace her. It seems to me only female rivalry (I do not have better words for this, my intention is to mean that ladkiyan ek doosre ki khushi se bahut jalti hai, aisa maine sun rakha tha or yahan woh sach bhi hota deekh raha hai). Ek taraf to yeh ladkiyan shikayat kare ki hamme azadi nahi milti, hum ghoongat nahi kahdenge, pant bursai pahrenge or doosri taraf ek jat chori ke peeche pad gaye or woh bhi ek kalakaar ke. woh to apni kala dikha rahi hai, dikhawan do, tum kaun ho khamakhwan mei. Eb wah chori thaari sunegi ke, apne maa-baap ki to wah baat nahi sunati, tum bekaar mei hi kaam dhanda chod ke yahan mhare jaise ka bhi time kharab kar rahe ho. Jitni der is lambe chode dhaage ku padhane mei lag jaagi, itni der mai to mei to uski koi nai film dekh ke aa jata.

i just happened to come across this lovely site today itself n found it quite interesting. As far as the mallika thing goes our opinion in general is still influenced greatly by our culture. But things are changing now. Sooner or later our community will also see the day when inter-caste marriages n a lot many other such things won't b uncommon. so its only a matter of time. if mallika is doing well its good. if u don't care don't give a damn. anyways keep the things rolling. cheers :)

Mallika has chosen Madonna or Britney Spears route to get famous. She has little talent but does manage to stay in the news by showing skin and doing something outrageous (in a desi setting). She certainly does not speak for anyone but herself. She hasn't done anything to make me feel proud or embarassed, because she doesn't impact my life

Dear friends I thing if I m not there is a problem of lack of mental maturity in case of Mallika ... and this could happen to anyone.. so it is a matter we must feel sorry for her... this is specially with refernece to her interviews to media she appears to be mentally very sick.... at what time she is going to say what, about whom no body knows 'if one can't respect his parents whom else she will'... in many matters the former up CM Miss Mayawati could give better statements, as compare to Ms Mallika... so this is the kind of level...... As far a her acting is concerned or profession is concerned it is only her privilage to decide her limits...'papi pait ka sawal hai'... ..... But about her opinion I am totally disappointed with the kind of mentallity she have....

Time praises Mallika Sherawat
Mumbai, May 26: Seems like Mallika Sherawat has won a number of fans worldwide. Attending the Cannes to promote her new film The Myth, the actress found praise coming her way from none other than the reputed Time magazine.
Writes Mary Corliss in Time, "We also met Mallika Sherawat, the Bollywood bombshell (her steamy musical Murder was India's top-grossing film last year), who will co-star with Jackie in his new film, The Myth. Articulate, friendly and forthrightly ambitions, Sherawat impressed the two visiting Americans. The weather and the film selection have been cool this year, but Sherawat instantly raised the temperature."
Writes another journalist Richard Corliss in Time: "Hottest paparazzi magnet: Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat, whose warm smile and tight dresses restored Cannes's rep as a showcase for steamy glamour."

As far a her acting is concerned or profession is concerned it is only her privilage to decide her limits...'papi pait ka sawal hai'... ..... But about her opinion I am totally disappointed with the kind of mentallity she have....

hi friends
we should not forget that she has made her mark in the bollywood as well as hollywood fim industry and is surviving well in the industry . It is kalyagu and the persons will get famous if he/she does something nasty or bad which will give him / her name and fame ,frankley speaking of how many good persons we are aware , day and again we read in the news paper about the persons who hit the headlines and that too for the wrong reasons.
Moreover she hasn't done anything extraordinary which the other heriones hasn't done for instance take Madhuri in Dayawan , Dhak-Dhak song in Beta ,Bipasa basu in all her movies , Miss World Neha Dhupia , Manisha Koirala , and many more the list is endless then why we zeroed only on the Mallika, she must have something in her thats why big actor Like Jackie Chan has choosen her from the so many other Heriones . I don't think that she has earned bad name for us , it is her life and she is free to utilise as she wishes. And lets not forget that these kind of istances are rare and exception , its better if we ignore such things.
jats always enjoy

Jitni der is lambe chode dhaage ku padhane mei lag jaagi, itni der mai to mei to uski koi nai film dekh ke aa jata.
lol....wah kya baat kahi hai!I feel its childish 2 think of Mallika ,her clothes, her life.......well it'd have been better not 2 use words like 'female-rivalry' though u took it lightly, but it may arise prob 4 u.
N i was wonderin 2 c dat d person who initiated dis topic is reluctant 2 have different opinions now!If u were so interested 2 know about others' views on such a pity thing then u shud have been tolerant enough to accept 'em also instead of tryin 2 close it.U r ashamed of Mallika being a JAT,do u think runnin away or tryin 2 shut people's mouth makes u a better JAT?

Hey mansi. well don't know about the row u are having with depika, all i am intersted in what do metro jatfemale conceive bout malika i m not against in getting in to movies but the way malika has pictured herself thats wrong and one thing i dont like about her why do she always mention of her being a jat i mean fair enough what ever u do in ur personal or professional life but dont try to be a icon of a whole race on the contrary we jats are not in the favour of getting our community people to get exploited by the so called movie industry people and if u think that there is no exploitation and every thing is happy go lucky, than u should first see the realities of this ground no body would have said a word about mahima choudhary coz we dont mind what u do in ur pesonal life but it's her way of doing the things and than associating the community coz our community is just apposite of what ideology she is following to achieve .........what u call it success? i will say self attempt of loosing intigrity and selfesteem. May be a crude view but thats what i feel she is a disgrace to atleast me coz i dont like when some one says she is a jat coz our filles are our respect and know way a jat would like her respect to be seen in a indecent way as a public property.

Is she any worse than Jats who murder for a piece of land. She has not broken any law. She doesn't claim to speak for any jats. Almost all the so call heroine in indian films have had to sleep their way in the film industry to get roles....so are the girls like 'Rekha' any better because they do their 'dirty work ' when the cameras are not on. Is she worse than Pamela Bordes...another jat girl who slept her way to keep herself in style.
Showing some skin is not the worst crime if you have a body to do it. There is always a price to pay when one chooses this path, but there are a lot worse things a person can do....and ordinary jats do that everyday...whether it be taking bribes or stealing fertilizer etc. We should keep everything in perspective.

Well i did'nt said that rekah is better where does rekah come from and thanks for atleast realizing that they have to sleep with some one.well now lets see how true about what u are saying tell me will u allow ur daughter or sister to work like malika coz i wont and i feel every member of my community as my relative in a way, so if u allow ur sis and daughter than i have got no problem coz u are a honest man in that context but if u not than i m sorry u are a hypocrat who treats family and other jats seprate coz jat is one big family for me and i m talking about me not about anyone else may be there are member who wont find my way of thinking oright but than i dont want to convince anyone , why i m talking about malika coz she keeps herself metioning herself as a jat in all of her interviews fair enough there are instances where jat killed people for a piece of land but than u are talking a 3 basic things of all the row in the world MONey ,Land and Woman, and thats common everywhere where not but u tell me who is better a a person who get in to prostitution with his own will or the person who becomes a killer becoz of the circumstances u cant say that every time a jat killed is becoz of land the motive could vary without knowing the motive u cant say some one criminal the motive could be anything from slefrespect to survival what we are discussing here is a girl who is from a prosperous family who have entirely no need to sleep (which u said by urself that most of the female actress do) with some one to get in and get going in the movie business.

Mallika has chosen Madonna or Britney Spears route to get famous. She has little talent but does manage to stay in the news by showing skin and doing something outrageous (in a desi setting). She certainly does not speak for anyone but herself. She hasn't done anything to make me feel proud or embarassed, because she doesn't impact my life
Hey vivek u dont think her a jat? or u are not a jat? coz i think one thing is common in u and malika, common race jat and if u are so selfcentred than there is no point of u on being on this forum sorry mate no offences but what u trying to say clearify that u are a cool dude from a new urban culture who dont even bother about what other member of the family is doing so talking about people from community is not worthless for u. is that what u trying to say ?

Wrong comparision! She is no criminal. She is emphasizing 'JAT'. She doesnt need to be a Jat ikon. She is a big show off.(I m not talking about physical show off). She need some ethics.Rest is good. I dont give a damn (neither do other people) and yeah I am not fussy about the dresses and stuff. She look alright.

I am trying to decipher what you wrote. If I were to translate it right, your argument is that we should be concerned about Mallika, because she's a jat, and jats are one big family. Let me clue you in. I doubt Mallika will agree that she belongs in the same family that you belong to. In my view, a subinspector who takes a bribe is a lot worse than Mallika, as I don't think Mallika has broken any laws, while a sub inspector has. Keep everything in perspective. Worry about things you can control and your own future, than a far away actress, who just happened to be born in a jat family. Its a waste of time and energy to devote one more post on this silly subject...so this is my last word.

Well mate i dont give a toss what she is and let me tell u that she had mentioned atleast 10 times on tele and several other that she is a jat and thats why she is so bold and we jat had arrived in industry and fings like this which i presume enough to prove that she if not think than atleast show that she is from jat family, but as per ur words seems like u does'nt seems ok with being a part of lovely adorable jat family coz u always keep on mentioning the ailments of jats some time by saying that jat kills for land sometime that jat sub-inspector take bribe dont you think there are number of jats who give there life without living there life to 20's on indian borders every year.you have mentioned and suggested to worry about our own future well it's pretty hard even for uncle "sam" to decide his future so it's foolish even to try to control ur future coz my ideology is live life without hearting anyone who is not hearting you (in anyway) and enjoy every single second of it and believe me i enjoy every single second even if i invest it in answering some far gone(from jat family) jat brothers  who think that jats are killers and take bribe.most of jats are honest and innocent(not even have any police record).so
take it easy yeah.

Dear Amit,
It is a pity that the thread which should have been ignored completely at its inception itself has atracted so many posts. Members have posted more than 500 posts on Mallika. Why ? What is her contribution to community and how is going to affect us. I fail to understand. Whatever she is doing, all gimmicks, are for her own advancement. Let us bury her on this site for ever.

After Curryfying and Punjabifying the world, Siliconifying the IT Valley, and becoming the Haute-Shot of inspirational couture, India has Glam Slammed into the Big League. The latest issue of Time likens 'Bollywood sex goddess' Mallika Sherawat to Brigitte Bardot at Cannes 50 years ago. Delhi Times on India's latest export...
Quod Erat Demonstrandum. Bollywood glamour has gone global with an international magazine anointing Mallika Sherawat as the sex goddess who 'once again' showcased Cannes as a centre for 'steamy glamour'. The 'unbuttoned movie glamour' of the so gorgeous, so curvaceous, so genial Ms Sherawat -- now pouting, now pirouetting, as though she was to the Red Carpet born -- has been compared to the lusty charms of Brigitte Bardot who set the Riviera on fire, almost 50 years ago....When she was just 18 and husband-director Roger Vadim brought her to Cannes with And God Created Woman, the film which was condemned by the Catholic Church's Legion of Decency but which went on to make her Europe's most famous pin-up girl of the mid 20th century. Till today, she is to Europe what Marilyn Monroe is to America. And may we add -- what Mallika Sherawat might end up being for Indiaah!
It isn't really strange that we haven't heard a word about Ms Sherawat's talents in the acting department from anybody who has seen or heard her at Cannes. No spoken or written word, not a single mention about her performance in The Myth, India's first current crossover act. Nevertheless, we applaud her histrionics in the 'other' department. For Mallika has managed to export Indian oomph unlike any other desi. The West will no longer swoon over Indian curry, tandoori and the Bhangramuffin alone. To her goes the credit of creating an entirely new and global brand of Indian sensuality: the McIndian oomph which has the Indian choli ending up as even more titillating than the Western bikini. Henceforth, don't be surprised if you see Pamela Anderson parading herself in the sequinned splendour of the haute Indian appendage.
And are we complaining? Nah! Because everybody loves a sex kitten. From her first 30 naked seconds of screen time in her first big hit (And God Created Woman), Bardot has remained an icon for men and women alike. She -- of the just-got-out-of-bed-hair and the pronounced pout -- may not have been the most intellectual role model but even diehard feminists like Simone De Beauvoir saw her as a symbol of power: as someone who was both 'hunter and prey'. As that other 'sex goddess', Marilyn Monroe summed up: "A sex symbol becomes a thing, I just hate being a thing. But if I'm going to be a symbol of something, I'd rather have it (be) sex than some other thing we've got symbols of."
So, show them more, Sherawat! The applause can only get louder.

Okay..Okay....Idea Idea.....Ekdam light bulb Jal Gaya !!!!!!
Mein socch raha tha ki all the uncles and chachas might lambast me here
for diverting attention to Mallika, and distracting our great intellectual
minds at work . Issliye kucch fatafat (chutki baja kar) idea nikala to make this diversion potentially worthy of everyone.
With all the attention being focused on Haryana and its development, why not
use our lady Mallika as the ambassador for Brand Haryana !!!!!!!!!!
Lets face it, the girl's steaming any which way you look at her. And she certainly
knows how to get attention....that too at the international stage. She might be too
out there for some of our Haryanvi brethern, but I think she's just fine for the
larger stage.
With all the new directions our CM is planning for us we'll need investments,
media coverage, hype....basicially the whole works ! I don't know a better recognized
Haryanvi face than Mallika. And on top of that she is from Rohtak, CM homeland!
So she can really serve well as our economic and cultural (oops !) ambassador
as we seek potential investors and partners around the world.
I think there is opportunity here to finally put apni Jat girl to some
productive use.

well, i think we r the only one who r responsible for our actions in society. whatever we do or whatever we say, effects our society, this is how it is been and this is how it's going to be. so before doing anything we must think twice that whatever we do bring a good name to our family and foremost, our community.what malika is doing is a big shame to jats becoz she is been vry mean ,she is just thinking abt fame , money and gossips. and it's not only abt malika sherawat i think every heroine who do wierd scence and calls that acting is lethargic. though i have nothing against anybdy but i think there is nothing beautiful than simlicity and a fully dressed indian woman.

Hi there,
Mallika Sehrawat is a lady who choose short cut for her success in the bollywood. Model turned actress Mallika does not know that changing name very often and body exposure does not bring success, Otherwise Mamta Kulkarni type actress would be no. 1.
I would say she should move back to modelling as that does not require talent like acting, dancing etc.
I hope you understand now who she is and better you do not go more into in because she is not that...., she has big mouth though.

After being a loudmouth etc. etc. she features in a porn clip..... some members on this site have said that there is plenty of sleaze in the film industry and she is just using that to her advantage.....but somewhere the line should be drawn....
agreed that many of the actresses may have slept their way to success(as pointed by some of the members) but none of those were discovered in a porn clip..... this is as bad as it can get......
She has ofcourse denied featuring in the said clip but she lies a lot......
She says in interviews that she was educated in some local school in Rohtak and she made it on her own through determination and all that.....but the fact is that she spent good eight years of her schooling life at DPS Matura Road.....
She says that her mother once beat her up for wearing lipstick to school.....but the fact is it could not have been possible in that school on a normal day (except when there is a function, mothers dont beat their daughters on wearing makeup when they dress up for a function).... i never noticed any girl with any form of make up while i was there.....
She says her father was too harsh on her ......but the fact is he was a thorough gentleman (according to one of the teachers, that teacher taught me too and i find it easier to believe her version than that of a loudmouth that mallika is)......
She makes remarks like Jats treat their womenfolk really bad.....no community is free from differential treatment......but she forgets to mention that in Jats the female child is treated in special ways too.....Laddo is a common form of address and does not have its male counterpart in the Jat dialect.....the way brothers love their sisters and bhanjas and bhanjis in Jat families is very different from other communities........
What she does in the privacy of her bedroom may be none of our concern but when it becomes public knowledge we are free to think and express what we feel about her.....
We can draw our own conclusions about the porn clip episode but her past record gives her little credibility.......it's high time we ignore her..........

Hello ,
Let us view it from an unprejudiced , and unbiased perspective without lending ethical support to the issue . Her dress code , choice of roles and and a compulsive obsession to be in the limelight has made her what she is . As we go , she will mature and we all have a lot more to discuss about her . She chose controversy as her forte , so be it ..................she has been bullied , abused , scandalised , and the reason why we hang around her is to see what happens next ? I appreciate her courage and ability to stand and speak for herself , we have no business to poke into her private life...................we jats are too good discussing that ................. I am certainly happy for her . By the way , is there any way inviting her on this Forum........Can she be contacted and see what she has to say .

It wasn't Mallika in d MMS clip, jus go through dis article...
Girl in Mallika sex MMS is Mexican!
After a lot of speculation about her infamous MMS sex clip a good news finally comes for Mallika Sherawat from a far away land of Mexico. The fake Mallika has been tracked.
Now it is confirmed that the clip, that spread across the country like wildfire, actually featured a 19-year-old Latin porn star called Lolly and not the Jat actress.
The news has definitely come as a whiff of fresh air for Mallika Sherawat, who had hard time defending herself from Europe where she is busy with work. The clip has caused a lot of damage to for her especially since many Bollywood personalities had gone so far as to claim that it was definitely her in the MMS.
Lolly, apparently is a Mallika look-alike and is completely unaware of the ripples her video has created in India. She is said to have worked in many blue films including the clip that did rounds on the mobile phones.

Duh ! Cant believe someone started the thread again. For once keep this girl out of useless discussions. Why are we all so hypocrtical and self contradictory. If not all most of like to watch films and TV. We have our own favorite stars, people who we adore to death. Most of us have had serious infatuations with movie stars. But when it comes to Mallika, we all become Talbanized, and just spit venom at her. Guys, you know something, she doesnt even care. Probably, she already made enough money, that most of us wont make in our lifetime. And on the top of that, she can have any successful man out there ask her for her hand. All she has in front of her is red roses, and blue sky. So, I want you to stop bothering her.
On the other note, look at it this way, shes someones daughter too. Maybe her parents are really pissed at her decision. We do not know for sure. All we know is what we have heard in the media. Atleast think of them. Afterall shes their daughter, and they care about her. The more you guys villainize her, the more they get hurt. Someday it could be your daughter or sister. We all were born in a free country. Everyone has the right to pursue their dreams. Now I know sme of you would be saying that this is an open discussion forum, and we all can say whatever we feel. NO. No, You cannot just trash someone. How many of ya'll even know this girl personally. Maybe shes a wonderful person. And I strongly feel that she is. Becuase it takes a lot to be nasty.
I am big time movie buff. When I watch movies, I watch a huge heap of'em right one after the other. Thus I am a big fan of a lot of stars. Some for their talent, others for their beauty. I think I would anyday choose go out for a 3 hours "Mallika Sehrawat song and dance drama," to get a break from the books.
By the way, after watching the movie Company, I wanted to become a gangster. Phir mannay sochi, ak bhai Haryane mein tay pahlyan ghane sare Gangster sain. And I had a change of mind.
Cut the crap and talk some sense. Let trash Bhupi Hooda instead. Hes not as good looking as Mallika Sehrawat. Hehehe. Juzz Kidding.

Mallika Sherawat IS NOT GOOD LOOKING. She is repulsive. She has a dog like face(That's my own opinion. May be my standards are different, higher :) . No offense to anyone).
Watch the movie SATYA. It is better then company.

Come on dude, just put aside your biases and stereotypes, and admit that this girls made it big. And lets all feel happy for her.
Yea I saw satya. It was a great movie too. But it didnt have he kinda glamor company had. And I was just kidding about becoming a gangster. I hope you didnt take that seriously.

hehehe. You talk as if Mallika Sherawat has done oscar type movies or art films?
Strictly speaking She is basically a semi-porn star. Ask the army uncle how girls like her get FANTASTIC (hehe) roles like she does.
All girls like her have to do is spread their legs for producers, directors and others in position to help them. Why do you think she has risen so quickly.
Company is better then satya? No way Jose.
Satya has fantastic songs and a story. Company has item song(Definition of an item song - half naked woman(main dancer) with 1 tonne of makeup gyrating with men and/or women, like semi-porn dance clip). Did I enjoy company when I watched it first time - yes, did I enjoy it as much if I watch it second or third time - no.
Now did I enjoy satya when i saw it first time - yes, do I enjoy it second or third time when I see it - yes. Yes , just like I do enjoy sholay every time I see it.

:-)))) Well I never saw too many hindi movies when I lived in India, but now I even watch the Govinda flicks. Just connects you to home, as you forget about all the things that stress you for the next three hours.
Personally, I didnt like any of Mallika's movies. Even Aamir Khan's Lagaan wasnt the oscar stuff. Honestly Indian Movies do not fall in the mould of the Academy Award movie material. They are just different.
Profession apart, all I am saing is that lets not indulge in characted assasinations. Honestly, none of us was there when Mallika supposedly spread her legs for the producer. So we rally cannot say that actually happened. And even if she did, its none of our business. Frankly i am more concerned about Laloo eating the fodder, Rajiv Gandhi, getting kickbacks on bofors purchases, Bangaru Laxman taking bribes on reel, George fernandez sleeping in coffins meant for our shahid soldiers, and the poor kid down the block who polishes shoes or sells tea to make ends meet, and doesnt have a certain future in front of him, rather than bother about Mallika spreading her legs. You got the point bro.
I like successful people, who are very honest, and have a proven strong character.
All we are talking is just repeating the media gossip about this girl.

Hmm gossip is just for selling. Look we really arent sure, to what extent the gossip is true. And once again, if it is, still none of our business. India is a free country. Let people live their lvies the way they want to.
As for the Indian girls, A Jat Boy's Destiny is preset only with a Jat girl. We arent supposed to have any other DNA configuation in our community. I dont know what many of ya'll reading will think about me, but I am very conservative and traditional in terms of relationships. Jat girls only, and the ones chosen by your ma-babu. Look at the case of the CM son. look what he had to go through after he married a jat girl. Court ke chakkar katwa diyee us jatni nee un saabko. Marry the girl whose heart is good, don't marry for money, prestige, marry for your happiness. Marry the one you love. Its' all chemistry, mutual understanding. Its not necessary to marry a jat girl. Personally, I have no interest in Indian girls anymore. Too much trouble, headache and I don't find them physically attractive at all. No offence to anyone.
Why live a lie? because society says marry the girl chose by your ma baap, marry a jat girl and then after marriage stare at other women because you are not happy with your jat wife? You don't find her attractive, she fights most of the time with you, she has complexes, but put on face for the society that everything is fine between you and your wife? For what? There is only 1 life to live and after you die, you don't come back again. Why not be happy and marry the girl you love? To hell with what others think. :p

I want to comment here with the line used by Jitender Sinsinwar-
Well Friend its your personal matter That you dont have no interest in indial girl. But one thing i want to say here that once you married to any foreigner girl even may be ABCD. Well think about your condition, whenever anyday she will ask you-
1)I am going out with my boyfriend would you like to join us?
2) She may can ask you anyday for divorce.
So be ready with all these things before you plan for any foreigner.
You know Why 50% Marriages ends in divorce in whats so called Developed countries. Try to figer it out and then compare indian values. In india most of girl are good with one or two EXCEPTION LIKE MALIKA.
Dont take it personal but these lines are hard fact

haha. You couldn't come up with any reasoning and so fell down to lowest level and used bhangi language. But it's a fact that good people are found in every religion, race. It does not matter what their race or skin color is. I think ABCD's are a special case - I really think they are worse then Indian born. I agree with that one. First of they don't look good and then with all the nakhras - complete waste of a guy's time and energy. But why Do I have to make a choice between the 2 only.
And Dahiyaji which time do you live in? you said in earlier post that the jat girl should stay at home after marriage? You seem to imply that a girl is a domestic cow. This is very backward, medieval thinking. Really, if you don't know - the riwaz of goonghat comes from the muslims. Very backward.
I feel a woman does not need to follow all this bs about staying indoors behind locked doors. Seems like a taliban custom. :(
But why do you get angry at my being honest?
I say what I feel. Yes, according to me Indian girls are not worth the trouble. Plus white chicks are much better package overall. Why are you talking about white trash? and all that bs? There are plenty of good hearted, educated white girls. There is no shortage. The shortage is of good hearted, pretty Indian girls.

....:D
Do you think Jat boys are world class romantic and Jat girls are no match to them ? Ji nahi aisa kuch nahi hai..They are as good or as bad as anyone else.. Don't get confused between frankness and being romantic.. Its too complicated a subject and has nothing to do with race or caste. If I go purely by statistics, Hindus as a whole never had any role model romantic couples like what Muslims had. Here are some examples;
1. Heer Ranjha Muslims
2. Laila Majnu Muslims
3. Sree Farhad Muslims
4. Romeo Juliet Christians
Hindus have very dubious role when it comes to treating their woman/ beloved. All our Gods either left or abandoned their beloved/ wife. Krishna left Radha, Gautam Budh also left his wife in sleep and Rama sent Seeta to exile once again. May be love has different meaning for us Hindus. Remeber one thing my friend.. Ultimate test of a man is how he understands his woman and how he wins over her love...Women are gifted by God to make most regressive analysis of man's worth. I can write volumes on this. And my final word NOW;
WHO TOLD YOU THAT THE WOMAN HAS TO BE ROMANTIC? Those who expect woman to be romantic are naive and have no clue about how women mind works.. Its always the man who is Romantic and woman simply responds to him if she finds him romantic enough... Jangal me mor nachta hai janab mornee nahi...Hope that makes my point clear...LOL

I am learning here. But the problem is that the Indian female does not respond in the way the females of the other race respond. :D
Now it does not matter as I find the Indian female physically unattractive. I have better choices to choose from. Why get a ambassador/suzuki/Indian car when I can have the mercedes/rolls royce? :D

A couple of guesses abt Jeetu:
1) He is a big fan of B-grade movies
2) He votes for Laloo
3) He is stuck in a mental time wrap
4) He will get more shocks in life, the big ones are still waiting for him.

Jeetendra!
You are a real jat bro.
You said wat you felt. No diplomacy. And u were not all wrong.
People like you who keep their words and carry on with them are the winners in real life.
different opinion (real ones) from others with a will power like you creates people like bill gates, hitler etc.
I know you are 19 or something , u will be 'polished' and believe me you will be seeing the best girls around you , Jat boy! Bruaaaaaaa

Dear sir , What I am going to write is probably not related to the topic of the current thread, but you mentioned a few example so I thought of writing a few line, because eveyone should get the chance to know the truth...to believe in or not be believe in is a personal matter. This is the most popular thread on jatland.com and I hope many will read this.
Ram never sent Sita to exile. The hundred percent proof is available in Valmiki Ramayana wherein Shri Ram did not do this bad deed. Sita was in Ayodhya with Shri Ram and Luv-Kush were born in palace. And Tulsi has also not written the said story. So it is wonder that who has spread the false that on listening from a washer man Ram sent Sita to jungle. Naturally the arrogant spread this false to crush the women.
If any one finds this story in Valmiki Ramayan or Tulsi Ramcharitmanas plese mention it.
Sri Krishna was a yogi( Gita is a proof of this). and I am not sure about the Radha-Krishna story also. in fact Radha toh Krishna se umar me bhee bahoot badi thee.
ek jhooth ko 100 bar bola jay toh woh bhee sach lagne lagta hai... All I am trying to say is, "do not believe in everything you hear".
BTW, Happy Janmasthami everybody.

What difference does it make first hand or second hand? What matters is mutual love. That's all and she be disease free before I get hitched to her. And I get to test drive her before I do that. :D

HI DEEP,
AS I KNOW ABUT MALLIKA,SHE IS MARRIED AND WAS A AIRHOSTES IN INDIAN AIRLINES.WHERE SHE MEET WITH CAPT.(FORGOT NAME)WHO WAS THE PILOT OF THE PLAIN.AND AFTER SOME DAYS AFAIR THEY GOT MARRIED.BUT SHE WAS INTRESTED IN ACTING SO SHE STARTED TO MODELING,HER HUSBAND WASN'T LIKE THIS SO SHE LEFT HER HUSBAND.THEN THE SAME PROB. FROM HER PARENTS SO SHE ALSO LEFT THEM.I WILL CALLED IT SELFISHNESS NOT COMPROMISE OR STRUGGEL.

That being said doesn't mean Mallika is doing the best she could!! I hope you guys understand.....

However we don't have the right to comment on anybody's profession.
But one thing is for sure-
As we know there r only few Jat girls working in Bollywood.
May be only 1 or 2 i don't know the figure.
So we assume that they r representing Jat community (As she usually show)
But whatever she has shown in recent movies already damaged the Image of Jat community a bit. I have seen just few songs & scene form her movies. May be she did more than I expect.
Whatever is wrong is WRONG.
Human being is a social animal, so she should behave socially.
Nobody can deny this just by saying it othre way.
Now I got a news that she is working foe her new Movie & in this movie she got a good & decent character, probably we would like it. Now she don't need to compromise with the situations as she did in past.
She is very fexible to compromise(Unlike any other Jat girl) with the situations on the values of Community's Image, which is wrong. Hopefully she wouldn't do it again.
There r lots of Actresses who did not compromised on their fundamentals & r successful now a days. So why cant she?
So better be strong so as to save the dignity of Community.
If u have the creativity & talent use it the best way.

Hmmm...such a long thread....it was really interesting!!
I personally would not criticize Malika for what she has done or is doing.
Criticism that is not constructive does no good to anyone, it always leaves one or more with a bitter taste in the mouth.
I believe most of people including me have not reached a level that Malika Sherawat has. I agree her means have not been totally "ethical", however all said and done, she has done no crime and has not personaly hurt anyone (though I am not sure about her family). So I think her actions should be left more to her family to be decided on ethics.
She is just herself. All of us have different thinking patterns and procedure to analyze things and people. But I personally feel it is not good to judge anyone without knowing everything about the person and also it is always best not to Judge anyone.
Someone has rightly remarked:- "Lower minds discuss people, average minds discuss events and great minds discuss ideas". I just think that more effort should go in something more positive or criticism if at all present should only be constructive.
regards,
~ Vivek

I had no clue of who she was, until my last trip to India this summer. Till date I have not watched any movie of hers, or seen her on TV for more than 5 mins. But I did get to hear a lot about her, so much so that I have to reply to this post.
I dont know how she is as an actor, but she has done a very good job in establishing her as a star in bollywood. I have also heard that she spits a lot of venom against Jats, well this could be because Jats didnt give her a good time in her life. This is so evident by this debate as well and she has a full right to have her opinion like you and I do, and I would refrain away from making a judgement about her character based on her opinions about Jats.
And coming to whether her objectives, and ways to reach her goal were unethical, well again it is going to be relative. As in I do not see anything wrong in a girl wearing those kind of clothes and doing racy scenes for her profession. To me she is an actress, a show biz person her job is to show her talent and I think in show business it also includes an actors body, and believe me it is not and easy job to have and maintane such a body.
Plus I also believe that beauty as well as vulgairty lie in the yes of beholder, for example I do not find anything cheap or vulgar when a woman is wearing skipy shorts, but I would feel gross if I will see a woman lifting her saree to her calves (it is just a personal opinion, I have nothing against those who do it).
I also feel that its high time we get away from this sexism, many of us feel proud of seeing our Jat boys in show biz flashing and flexing their muscles and bare chest. Now if that makes us proud then why do we object to her (a woman) doing the same.
