Dear Dr. Gehlawat,
Please accept my heartiest congratulations for successfully organizing the Second World Jat Convention at Talkatora Stadium, Delhi. The credit for the success of this International Jat Conclave goes to you. It’s a creditable and unprecedented International Jat Event which you have managed single handedly. Your success has been highlighted extensively in the media. I saw the news coverage given by T.V. News Channels such as Aaj Tak, Star News, also in National Newspapers such as Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Tribune, Rajasthan Patrika, and Haribhoomi.
Due to utmost urgency I had to be in Mumbai and missed the opportunity of participating in such an important event. I am sure that you will continue guiding the community in the future and the community will be benefited by your rich experience and organizing skills.

With Kind Regards, Sincerely, Dr. J. N. Dhankhar

Dear Dr. Gehlawat,
Unfortunately I got so tied up in London meetings that I have not been able to take the connecting flight from Lahore to New Delhi. I will thus be unable to join you tomorrow as there is no other flight today or tomorrow.
My thoughts are with you. My best wishes are with you. I am undoubtedly very unhappy at this outcome as I was looking forward to being with you at this most important occasion. Kindly convey my best regards and wishes to all the participants. I am one of you and all my thoughts are also with you at this most important occasion and gathering.
I am trying to call you and hope to speak to you soon although I have not been able to get through these past two hours. I am trying to reach Tevatia Sahib also who, too, will be most disappointed at my inability to join you.
I will call on you and the others on my next visit to New Delhi, which I hope, will be soon.
With best regards, yours truly,
AITZAZ AHSAN, Lahore, Pakistan

Dear Dr. Gehlawat,
Thank you for keeping me posted on the World Jat Convention 2004. I am really sorry for not being able to be with you all on the day - 28th February. I have not received the February 2003 issue of JAT Jyoti as yet. Please advise me on what I have to pay as subscription and I will be only too glad to remit the money. I may be visiting Delhi towards the end of March 2004 and will be pleased to meet with you and other senior officials of the Jat Federation for a discussion on a global programme for members of the Jat Community.
We in Fiji are anxious to start a local chapter here. I should let you know that this year we are planning celebrations to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in Fiji as indentured labourers to slave in plantations owned by Europeans. The celebrations will commence on 14th May, the day in 1879 when the first batch of Indians arrived in Fiji on board a ship named Leonidas.
The celebration is to pay homage to our forefathers who made tremendous sacrifices for posterity so that their offsprings and descendants would not live in bondage. Theirs is a heart-rending tale - one that will bring tears to the eye while burning anger mounts within as you begin to comprehend how human beings could be so cruel to their own kind.
The Indenture Period 1879 to 1920 is the saddest chapter in the history of people of Indian origin in Fiji. The celebration events will relive this sordid chapter just to remind the present generation of the indignity and inhumanity to which their forefathers were subjected. I will be pleased to discuss the event further with you in due course and have much pleasure in extending an invitation to you and the World Jat Foundation to race this occasion. I will forward details later.
Meanwhile, my best wishes for a memorable and successful convention.
Yours sincerely,
Mahendra Chaudhry
