It is clear that some individuals are using this site to prop up BJP in India.
In a democratic society, I believe everyone has a right to join any party or organization. However, I consider it absurd for a Jew to join Nazi Party, a Black to Join Ku Klux Klan, and a Jat (and a person from many other Castes) to join BJP.
The forerunner of BJP, Jan Sangh ( and its organizational wing, RSS) derived its leadership from strong anti-Jat people. In Rajasthan, the greatest harm done to the Jat community is by Bhairon Singh Sekhawat during his 10 years as the Chief Minister.
I feel the individual using the name of jatjyoti should change its name to jatandhera, as thats where the Jat community will end up if BJP stays in power for significant duration in India.

"In Rajasthan, the greatest harm done to the Jat community is by Bhairon Singh Sekhawat during his 10 years as the Chief Minister."....
Its true though it came to power bcos of some support of Jats in some constituencies.
But this time BJP got elected due to overwhelming support from Jat community...WHY? Is BJP changing or is Jat community changing?

Dear Dr. Birbal Singh ji,
Thanks for your positive contribution to the community effort towards unity?
* * * * * It is natural that you feel perturbed by the messages posted by me because there are many Jats all over the world who cannot dream of Jat Unity in their wildest dreams without colouring their thoughts with narrow political considerations. But times are changing and in the 21st Century, there are a multitude of Jats who are coming out of this syndrome which has afflicted our community in the past and forming an alliance which a broader object of community welfare. Jat Jyoti and World Jat Foundation are non-political and non-sectarian organizations as envisaged in the Constitution of ‘World Jat Foundation’ given below. I urge all right thinking Jats to digest this fact and move on! For others, their thoughts will become their reason for stagnation. Political considerations cannot dampen our spirits and will not deter us from achieving our objective of 'Unity Among Jats World Over'.
It is better to leave the pessimists alone. Let them do something tangible before they comment on efforts of others. Jat Jyoti will keep doing the good work. If someone wants to remain in 'Andhera'- well we live in a democratic country/world. They may hide in their corner/comfort zone. Rajnish

Dear Dr Birbal Singh Ji,
There is no denial that people like Bhairon Singh Sekhawat have done lots of harm to Jats and we all condem it. However, we can not live in past for ever. Best way to clean up the house is to enter it. This is the only way to marginalise those who can harm us. Wider is our base, less likely we are vulnerable to the missdeeds of any individual politician. As jats we must be united irrespective of political views of many of us. I am not poilitical affiliated to any party. However, as I can see, BJP is not Jansangh any more. If it is getting support of RSS, at the same time They have gone to Pakistan to make some progress. They have made understanding with a wide spectrum of people. No one could think of people like Mamta Banerjee, George Fernadies, jayalalita etc joining hands with BJP with old mindset. Jats also have to move with time and shed our old views. We should be careful but not frozen in past. Winds of change are blowing too fast and high time we take positions where from we can protect our interests. In politics there are no permanent foes and friends anyway. Interest of our own people should be at the top. Jats have to make progress not only in cities and in other countries, but in villages as well. We should not forget our villages.

Dana Ram ji,
Past can be used as a guide but not to hijak the future. Today's jats are not the one who can be exploited by the likes of Bhairon Singh Sekhawat. Trust me, if anything like that happens to jats in Rajesthan, millions of jats will decend over Jaipur. Moreover, Rajputs of today are no more what they used to be.
Best way to test the strength of one's adversary is to face him/ her and not to shy away. Trust me, Jats of today are more than capable to take on any other community in India. Present CM is basically a Maratha blood and more closer to Jats than to Rajputs. Let our slogan be to invade any party in power and share the cake....

Rajendera Ji,
We know that we should forget past and think about future, but its very difficult to forget past, the wounds our community (forefathers) got from them..they are too deep to be healed up.....i think you got my point...

Dana Ram ji,
I fully understand your feelings. However, I still feel that the best way to deal with those people is from inside. Let us aim to take over their organisation and use it to our benifit. We need more of diplomacy and less of emotions.

I am agree with this article.
The best way to reply that community is to work hard and show the world that we are not behind and that community tried to dump us but we are strong enough to come over these things.even we are showing our capabilities in every field.did you notice the selected list of IAS,IPS,RAS,RPS etc?
This is our reply to them.

Dear Friends:
this is the nth time Gehlawat etal have used this forum to champion their fundraising efforts and create space for their "nonexistent" organisation in Delhi.
Prominent people in Delhi who are associated with community work have in private raised serious doubts about the operations run by this group of people.
There is no reason for us to try and get BJP support because they are a declining force at least for some years to come.
We on this forum expect not to see advertisements or activity profiles of new and fledgling rackets very popular amongst unemployed youth or old people.
This is a serious issue which Prof.Birbal Singh has raised appropriately.
The bottomline is-this a forum for exchange of ideas, support and information that may be useful to community matters (without getting into whether BJP is good or bad) and not for posting stuff that relates to what you do for a living.
My discussions on this matter with community members in Delhi and USA reflect expectations that the moderators will take up this issue for suitable action and realize that Jatland is not a hunting ground for victims of financial and other related frauds.
Comments welcome.

RAM RAM,
I'm assuming that this thinly veiled attack is aimed at people like me.
Dr Birbal Singh Ji, in past discussions on this very matter (when Sonia Maino was on the verge on becoming India's PM) we had a long-winded discussion on this. And yes, you raised some very valid points - some of which were real eye-openers for me.
BUT
All yours (And Dana Ram's) points seem to be localised to issues that have afffected or affect the Jats of Rajasthan. And Rajasthan only.
I'm going to take Col Tavathia's stance - that no particular party (Cong or BJP) is particularly pro or anti Jat.
What about Jat politicians of the BJP that are good leaders and have done good work for Jats?
1. Sahib Singh Verma (Delhi-West)?
2. Kishan Singh Sangwan (Sonepat/Panipat)?
3. Ratan Lal Kataria (Ambala)?

I agree with Dr. Birbal Singh, I am relegiously anti-BJP and if I ever get in a position to affect any changes in haryana politics, I'll make sure to boot out BJP from haryana by any means. BJP is a anti-JAT party. People might conjure up thousands of arguments against my conviction, but the ground reality is not going to change.

Respected Birbal Ji,
Why worry about BJP when our own jat politicians have taken our gulible people for a ride.they have proved worst than Bhairon and sudarshan. danger to jat community had been and will be from own jat brothers and not from any other cast/party/organisation/indvidual.Blaming BJP thus is in bad taste out here.

Respected Birbalji,
Long time no see !!! Welcome back.
I am of the view that in Indian Politics 1 = 0, 2 = 0, 3 = 0 as well as 1 + 2 + 3 = 0 !!! 1 stands for congress, 2 for bjp and 3 for others, whereas 0 is for fulfilment of the aspirations of masses. Which ever party is in power gain some zeros to their bank accounts (of the party as well as leaders). No party is against anybody, they all want misery and poverty in the country for the sake of personal gains as only miserable and poor are easy to fleece. There are no set principles in today's politics. The congress is not the party it used to be till 1970s. It had its first heart attack in 1975, when Indira imposed emergency and therefore had to be hospitalised in 1977, in 1980s for some time their were signs of rejuvenation, but again by 1998 it was on death bed and had to be put on support system called Sonia. Let us see how long it can survive !!! Similarly, Jan Sangh died in 1978 but its ashes have yet to be immersed. The ashes are still stored in the minds of a few people like Shekhawat, Advani, Joshi etc.
If these two political parties oppose each other, the only reason is mutual survival as otherwise they will both be eaten away by regional parties. The day is not far when we will be discussing the possibility of BJP and Congress joining hands !!! In fact there are already murmurs of a joint effort in UP to put Mulayam in place.
Incidently, the maximum number of Jat MPs are from BJP and the maximum number of Jat Central Ministers ever were in BJP Government. Hence, fail to understand how BJP is anti-jats and congress is pro-jats. Politics is no more a social service (in fact it never was), it has become a profession where some leaders have become brands. The parties sell their brands and earn as much as they can. Yesterday, it was Brand Vajpayee, today it is Brand Sonia. So, dear Sir, your poison may prove to be my medicine and vice versa. In today's politics one should not go for any party blindly. "My grand father always voted for Congress", is no ground to judge a party.
Though very few people will come out to say which party they support. I openly tell everybody that even though I am not a diehard supporter of any party, I hate Congress; so what if my grandfather was a khadi wearing congressi. Why do I hate it ? No personal grudges. Becuase it has ruled the country for the maximum period and ruined it. She is the mother of all corruption in the country. It is not a party of masses but fiefdom of just one family. What Shekhawat did to jats in Rajasthan, Congress did to Delhi by bringing in refugees, Bangladeshis and Biharis into Delhi and allowing JJ colonies mushrooming all over. And the most important reasons I hate Congress is: it has always played with the sentiments of jats especially in Haryana, UP and MP. The way it treated all our great leaders, Sir Chootu Ram, Ch. Charan Singh, Ch. Devi Lal and Bansi Lal, is just unpardonable. No jat worthy of his salt will tolerate such insults. To me, the very though of my grandfather being a congress supporter, is gut wrenching.
