Dear Dr. Dudee,

Your point is noted and understood.

I have another interesting observation from Lt Col Jagmohan Malik (Retd) given at this website concerning my messages and I quote him: -

"I have always maintained in life that it is your conscience that knows best. In present times when real brothers kill each other for property of few thousands of rupees, getting together so many JATS under one roof is not only commendable but needs encouragement. I am repeating it for the Nth time on this website that we have a long way to go and at least three generations have to work very very hard to come at par with other pragmatic communities."

Going along with the response generated by my efforts to convey the current events of the community on this website, I have to agree with Lt Col Jagmohan Malik (Retd). I wish no longer to bother anyone with my messages unless solicited by any member of this website. I hope that my grand sons will be the ones who will do something about it! I am sure Lt Col Jagmohan Malik (Retd) will totally agree with this. The next generation and ours are just wasting our time in hope of a miracle. So, let the sons of the third generation bear the responsibility of doing something fruitful. Rest of us can just keep on chit chatting about sweet nothings and exchanging pleasantries on the Internet. However, there are a group of senior citizens who have created an International Foundation for the benefit of Jat Youth's and its a real shame that their efforts are wasted in vain!
Lt Col Jagmohan Malik (Retd) must have had similar experiences in life and hence his comment. I know that there are a lot of well meaning personalities out there who feel disappointed by the torchbearers of this generation. But, every community and race has to face this evolution. It takes time and a lot of time to create the magic, which makes a community vibrant and flourishing. I just have no patience for such a long wait. I am different, and I thank god for that! Wishing everybody good luck! Rajnish

Rajnish Ji,

I have posted you a private mail in response to your misinterpretation of my mail, which you have now chosen to quote as a seperate thread. It is against my policy to carry out one on one discussion in an open forum but I must clarify certain points.

By saying that we have to work very very hard for at least three generations to compete with other pragmatic communities, I did not mean that the present generation should leave everything to their grandchildren. This interpretation by you is incorrect and your comments thereafter inappropriate. I am certain that you are much more educated and wiser than me and I expected a more positive response.

Even if one JAT Convention, at World level or at Village level, is successful in making a difference in life of one JAT, it would be worth the effort. I maintaiin that it was indeed a monumental effort to convene such a convention in Delhi and no member has the right to critisize the effort. What came out of it and if it will make a difference in the lives of our community is another matter and outside the preview of this discussion.

Regards,

Lt Col JS Malik (Retd)

Bhai Jagmohan:

Your statement cited above is of the highest conscience. I remain most impressed by your calm and pragmatic vision of life. Each one of us is ONE jat whose life was turned around by some convention/intervention of some person/organization somewhere along the way in life.

Remember the old saying, attributed to the Chinese: Those who move mountains have to carry one pebble at a time.

Budh
