I have seen that many of us (jat) are unaware of jat history. They dont think what jat were and how precious their history was. Every community can not progress untill it dont have the knowlege its root. Everyone of us should know about jat history and should be proud.

While its very important to be aware of one's roots, any society just sticking to the past is doomed, to say the least. In most of the "India is great" discussions, facts are given to prove that thousands of years ago India was really leading others big time. But the reality is that we'll live and die in today's India and today's society, today's India is found wanting in more than one fronts.
Same can be said for Jat community. Haryana has majority of its population as Jats. The female infanticide and foeticide rates there are staggering. Dowry is another vice of our community. I feel the awareness about the education is increasing rapidly in our community, but it can surely be bettered. We should work towards awakening of our society (Jats and otherwise) for our better future. Let the past glory be a inspiration.
