dear sandeep,
i feel there is not much to hide as far as my few lines are concerned. i was very clear in saying that, till date indian army has got four of arora or bhaapa chiefs.... non of them is a jaat or jat as one of my friend did expected on this topic.now its a very important to highlight the real issue.do we realy lack in this field or it is that, country does not deserve some one who is best for the nation or a chief is must to fall in the line of these politicians .i am more than sure that the second is true.

here we came across that issue of marshall kaum, which is considered for avoidance.....its a myth.. many of them has reached that height.....only jat is untuochable.i know many will try to refute it as it is there in there nature or habit but its the truth......jat is a community which needs to gaurd against the general baise against it. I HAVE GOT NO HASITATION IN SAYING THAT ITS THE COMMUNITY IN INDIA, WHICH HAS BEEN DEPRIVED OF ITS DUE.IT HAS NOT HAPPENED JUST LIKE THAT...IT HAS BEEN VERY WELL PLANNED
SINCE LAST THOUSAND YEARS OR SO.

Well i dont have any probs againt any sikh or punjabi or shouthie be chief till he can be stronge and is able leader he has my vote
but ppl i would like to point out one thing here i was shocked to see gen.sabb crying on TV on star news when he was nominated, after all he is chief of indian army, yes some said he showed the human side of soldier but i feel he showed he is emotional weak human !!! he created doubts in my mind if he has to take a tough stand will he be able to take that we all know in certain situation if u look at human nature act of individual will be right but if we look through rules we will find that act as wronge and in those situation i dont feel he will be stronge enough to handle .......... well this is what i thought when i saw him crying on screen remembering how he let go one young guy who was trained in pakistan and was carring a gun ........

dear viresh,
i pretend to be lucky that i did not see the designate chief crying in front of camra, but no point.. whole world has seen him....see the man...i feel he has surpassed all the limits of acting.. bollywood stalwards should take a lesson or two from him.with so many years of service,he would have come across hundreds of examples worest than this from his own men in army.i doubt if has gone through the same pain and agony....now it is the turn of generals to use these tricks which were meant for petty politicians.

may god save the country...

Any body who puts on olive green is a soldier first and an officer then.
What I will say is that any soldier worth his salt must not cry and show infront of cameras atleast this trait.
In army we all have come accross such situations and may be worse then what was expailned on the TV.
There are otherways of showing the human side of a soldier.

jaisa raja hoga , wiasa hi uska siphah-e-salar..corrupt politicians aur chamache uske sipha-e-salar..simple..what else does public expect ? Thank our stars that in Pakistan also they have corrupt army, else things would have been very different. There is already a court case about promotions in air force ..we all know how things happen in Indian army..less said better..Whole world knows what all our top army brass spoke live on tehlka tapes..

Dear Sir,

I feel that as a soldier the Gen was expected to keep his emotions under control. I did not see the interview. I feel, that he should have taken some time before appearing on TV or meeting the press.

There are numerous situations those come across in a soldier's career where he has to control his emotions. As an officer, one does not have the luxury to express them in public. One has to remain calm and composed under all situations good or bad.

Regarding, Jaisa Raja, Vaise uske Sipah Salar. That may not be true in all cases. Take our own, Ch. Ajit Singh and Shri Om Prakash Chautala. They are no where near Ch. Charan Singh and Ch. Devilal respectively.

There are bad and corrupt people in all organizations and army is not an exception. After all the people in army also come from the main stream. The system does try to train every one to be honest, but not all graduate to the standard required of a soldier.

The issue here was of Gen's emotions and that is what needs to be attended to. Interestingly so far the Gen was projected to be a Jat Sikh, not many of us came out to criticize him for this TV interview or any thing else. May be we look into this aspect also.

Sir,
I would admit it honestly and frankly that my earlier statement was a biased one.
Though, my first reaction after seeing him on the TV was same as u have said and regarding it i spoke to many of my jat sikh officer and discussed with them with a very sad heart.
But some how i didnt want to say that thing on the inernet, not because of fear from any body but because of biased attitude(he being the Army Officer and initiall impression that he is jat sikh
).

Dear Major Kulwant,

We all tend to be biased some times. There is nothing wrong in it as after all we all are human beings. You being a soldier have admitted it. Not many of us have courage to do so. Keep it up. We are here to discuss some issues and express our opinion, which at times becomes biased for some reason or other. Some times it could be just our long beliefs and nothing else.

I am sure you must have come across many situations where one had to control his emotions. I remember when we had a casualty in our company, the troops did not eat meal for almost two days. I was as sad as any one else, but had to lead them, and make the atmosphere light so that we all could get to the next task.
